Absolutely wonderful! Of you are a fan of Oz at all, I HIGHLY recommend this place! The entire staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, there is so much to see, you're allowed to take pictures, they have guided and non guided tours, and a fantastic gift shop!My husband brought me here as a surprise weekend date because I'm a huge fan of the Oz books and I absolutely ADORED it, I can't say enough good things.Very much looking forward to their festival next year!

I would like to think everyone has seen the magical movie The Wizard of Oz. I highly recommend taking the guided tour to learn why the scarecrow didn't have a brain. The wicked witch was actually a sweet lady and how the tin man was inhaling aluminum which made him sick. The original writer was born Chittenago and his museum is definitely worth the time to see. Lots of memorabilia and true artifacts.

The museum is a great tribute to Wizard of Oz, creator. There are so many fun things to see. Everything is related to his life and Oz in some way. They also have several rare and unique pieces on display. Most of all I love how the Museum demonstrates the long lasting impact Baum had on future literature, movies, and humanity. It's worth the trip down the yellow brick road.

This museum is the best. It is true to the real history of the original Oz legend because it is the hometown of Frank Baum, the author. Other Oz museums claim to be the best because they have an original button from a Munchkin costume, but this one tells the full story and has many original relics. Great gift shop and very friendly staff.

Was driving through and saw the place on a billboard and just had to stop! It was a small little place in town that allowed me a break to stretch my legs and put my mind somewhere other than driving! Glad I stopped to see the great collections this museum takes care of. You have the option of a self guided tour where you can read the exhibit cards, use QR codes to watch small videos, or you can ask for a guided tour. ($9 entry fee for any option.) (They do have a card option and a cute gift shop too.) I learned a lot and thought a lot of the items were unique.I would say that if you have kiddos itching to get energy out or like to touch - I would not recommend this to you.

a hidden gem! my girlfriend and i just visited today from syracuse. the wizard of oz was a huge part of my childhood, so this place felt like magic! they have a lovely and diverse collection + really informative and friendly staff members! the gift shop is out of this world too!! i can't wait to come back!

Omg! Cool is an understatement!!! I had no idea there were so many things related to Oz. I was fascinated and I am not a huge Wizard of Oz person. Highly recommended even if you’re not in the area. And they have a festival every year in June which sounds even cooler!

I’m so glad I visited!The manager was extremely knowledgeable and excited to share. They have a well organized collection of, as their name states, All Things Oz. Additionally, they have lots of displays with items pertinent to L. Frank Baum who was born just down the street.I highly recommend making a point to visit this gem in Chittenango!

Fun local museum about...Oz. They have rotating items from different book, film theater and television productions of the world of Oz. Knowledgeable volunteer staff that also help produce the annual parade/fair.

Highlight of my "Ozstravaganza" weekend visit to Chittenango, NY. Enthusiastic knowledgeable curator gave guided tours that made the tiny museum come alive. She is an actress and on the cover of the spin off 'Dorothy in the Wild West' series of books seen in the museum. She makes you feel like a treasure hunter who found gold, looking at these old Wizard of Oz and Frank L Baum mementos. Who knew Auntie Em was inspired by Frank's mother-in-law Matilda or 'Alphaba' in Wicked was a nod to "F.L.BAUM." Delightful eclectic collection of All Things Oz brought to life by the new young full time curator.

An absolute treasure trove of artifacts, with amazing stories behind each one. Costumes, books, figures, toys, collectibles...the collection feels endless. A must for any Oz fan - and if you happen to visit and you are not yet a fan, you will definitely leave as a converted Oz-head. I can't wait to visit again next year!
