Great Place! Wife and I went for relaxing stay... Loved the cabin! Spacious and steps away from a beach and lake. Short drive to Lake George. Owners were awesome! Just rebooked for next month with the kids!

Very kind and accommodating camp management. Campground has showers, flush toilets, drinking water, a small beach, and coin operated Whirlpool brand laundry machines. Whirlpool is the WORLD leader in laundry products. There are nearby restaurants and stores just up the street. Live. Laugh. Love. Laundry.

Loved our experience at Riverside Pines so much we decided to become seasonal there. The owners are very nice and accommodating and they have done a great job with the upgrades at the campground. Look forward to many fun times there!

Had a great time camping with family and friends. Riverside Pines is full of great people and the location right on the water is perfect. Kids loved swimming at the beach and playing on the playground. Definitely going back soon!

After over a decade of memories being made here and my children literally growing up in this campground every summer, new ownership kicked us out because they are scared of our 8 year old female pitbull that has never shown any sign of aggression. I was going to leave the review alone, as my wife and a few friends that had camped with us in the past had already left negative reviews, however, I just noticed this morning that they had blocked me from commenting on their Facebook page. Ignore the fake smiles from these owners. This is no longer a family campground. It’s purely a business.

What an incredible property! Great area to bring our family in the mountains. This spot is right on the river and has a wonderful atmosphere. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to visit again!

I highly recommend Riverside Pines Campground in Chestertown, NYWe began our camping experience last year at Riverside pines and extended our camping experience this year. The owners take good care of the campground. There are more updates then I can count at this time but the beach wall, the docks, the new stairs going to the boat dock, the fishing dock, updated cabin, extended Wi-Fi, cutting of trees etc. Eric and Sara make themselves available to all your needs. Whether you need wood, propane, change for the laundry or just have a questions they are there to help you.The community of campers is amazing. So many new friends have been made. Nightly fires surrounded by good company. There is always someone around to help you out if you need it.The environment is amazing. Riverside Pines is located on the Schroon River. Small towns nearby. Hiking, swimming, boating and fishing is at your fingertips. Restaurants are nearby and offer a variety of food. Crossroads Country store is less then a mile away and they offer everything you need.

Tears are rolling down my face as I write this review. I am disappointed, saddened, and downright ashamed to have ever considered myself a fan of the Riverside Pines Campsite. My family and I have been camping at this location for 10+ years, it had become a tradition, but now that they have banned pitbulls from being allowed on the campsite, we can no longer come here. I feel so betrayed. This is truly unbelievable.

My family had a wonderful experience here during this hard time (covid). It's just what we needed to feel refreshed ! Everyone was so nice and thoughtful. We will be back! Its a little gem tucked in the Adirondacks! Staff is great!

We got a hotel instead, the attitude of the women who didnt want to get up from her chair or phone to help us with our reservation. Our family has been coming here for 15yrs. Reading reviews after were not the only one that feels this way. She doesnt have the “man power” to clean a trailer we tried to rent instead we let her keep our deposit.

That seals the deal. I am no longer a Riversides fan. This camp is a pure and utter embarrassment to city of Chestertown. I officially will not be renewing my plan next season nor will I recommend this to a person. I’m going to Massachusetts where they know how to run a mega camp. Ratio

Wonderful seasonal camp ground. The owner may want to remove one or two people for further enjoyment. Great campground for people without kids. Lots of drinking here.

Absolutely terrible. Me and my boyfriend are here visiting my uncle. When walking down to the lake my sister went into the office to ask where exactly the beach area is, a blonde woman laughed was like "your kidding right" super rude! And to top it off, when me and my boyfriend came back up the hill back to the camp spot the same lady began interrogating him. " what are you doing here? Who are you staying with ? Is he a seasonal camper? Well what's his name? You need to pay to stay here or visit there's a fee" we responded with " we have already paid " then she proceeds to make herself look even worse by saying " oh okay! Thats all I care about!" so they have absolutely no regard for the people staying here or their visitors, all they care about is money . I believe the short blonded hair woman may have been the owner or a manager. Save yourself and any vistors you may have the hassle of dealing with this terribly rude woman. Go down the street, the next exit down, heck even a pay by the hour motel, JUST DONT STAY HERE.

They banned Pit bulls & Rottweilers despite 0 known incidents at the site and numerous empirical studies proving these breeds are not dangerous. Find somewhere else to go.

The new owners of the campsite recently decided to put in a "ban" on pitbulls from being in the campsite. Truly an awful decision that I hope they regret. Wish I could give it a 0/5

We had a good time, but... we had lots of buts. The campground was in a really nice location, just across the road from the beautiful Scroon River, where we swam and went tubing and loved staying so close to the water, but there was a boat launch right by our site that made it very busy with noise from traffic. The owner, Barbara, was lovely, but she didn’t come around to check on us like management at other campgrounds do. The campsite was clean, except for garbage from the people before us in the firepit. The bathrooms were neat, except they weren’t always stocked with paper towels & whatever construction was recently done was done sloppily... but the BIG issue was noise & unruly guests. We actually called 911 two out of our 3 nights there, which we have NEVER done before in our lives. Our first night we called 911 twice for kids yelling right outside our tent at 3 & 4 in the morning. The second night we called 911 because two guests right behind us actually got into a violent fistfight. Some of the guests were rowdy & frankly a little “rednecky”, and many of them seemed to know each other and either came in big groups or just meet there year after year. The people next to us had a loud party each night from about 5-10. Maybe if management found out what kind of experience guests were looking for they wouldn’t place folks looking for a peaceful stay right next to party animals.

“Aggressive (ACTING) and uncontrolled barking dogs” I can understand asking to leave. But to ban dogs based on breed is shameful and hugely ignorant. Shame on you.

Very nice quiet campground. We stopped overnight but noted this as a great stop. The black flies were bad, but they are bad everywhere in the Adirondacks. LOL
