Horrible. Do not shop here. Every time I go in on Saturday with my grandmother, there are no shopping carts. And people are rude and they do not supply us with any carts. They need to do better with their supply and demand or else they're going to lose customers especially when they have no shopping carts thank you

This is one of the few open after the Blizzard 2022 break-ins. My favorite store for all my family's needs. I look forward to the return of the West Ferry & Forest Avenue locations to reopen in Buffalo, NY.

Just looking for some place to eat after visiting the Carousel Museum and stopped for a late lunch. Very much a neighborhood feel. I am not crazy about sitting next to a bar, but it was not too noisy.Service was fast and friendly. I thought the prices were a little high, but the food was very good.

Great roast beef on weck! My boss and his brother had roast beef on rye, fried to perfection like the best grilled sandwich you've ever seen or could make yourself. But I challenge you to try and make it as good as Mitchell's does! I doubt it.But all that aside, if you get a chance get to Mitchell's for lunch this week. Or even dinner. You will not be disappointed.Masks are required while not seated at a table. And social distanced seating is in effect! All of the staff is super friendly and we even had the pleasure of meeting the owner when he came to our table to make sure all of our meals were made just the way we ordered them!I will definitely be back there as soon as I get the chance again!5 stars on food, service and cleanliness!

This store is my favorite DG store in Buffalo. It is alway clean and well organized. Staff are respectful and polite. I love the home decor and how they set it up. Thanks DG!

I have been getting the same guy checking me out lately and he's so friendly and nice. Always has something nice to say and never complains about his job or anything else. Very refreshing. I will post his name when I get it because he definitely deserves to be recognized for his great customer service! All I know is that he's 27 and looks like 16. Lol

Its amazing sometimes the thing that you just don't expect to find in these places. I have got to start stopping by more often to check out what they have on their shelves. With that said the reasonable pricing on all their products I just cant get over it.

they never open on time! i have been there on three different occasions, never earlier than 8:20( they are supposed to open at 8)and each time i had to wait for the employee to arrive and open up the store.the store is kept clean and is never too busy. they have been out of certain covid related products consistently, just like every other store.

Not the neatest or well organized location. Staff is usually pretty friendly. Check the dates on anything you plan to buy that could spoil or go stale, have never experienced this from here, but you never know.

I get bothered when I come to the store and people are stalking me. For example, today my visit wasn't comfortable. As I approached the counter checking out, people rushed right around me. That shouldn't be the norm especially this time of social distancing. You're not respecting social distancing at all!

If you want to feel like you are stealing or some one is about to rob you go to this dollar general. They make it clear to customer over the intercom when they assume someone is stealing. Public safety or bad customer service you decide but I will never shop there again.

I have discovered that this specific location allows food to stay on the shelves far past the expiration date. I have also found maggots in the food I have gotten here. I would only go here for non food items.

I thought it was just my local Dollar General that the food tastes like their air freshener. I wrote to the company about the Grant St. Store. This was the Elmwood-Hertel location and, once again, the crackers that I bought tasted like the store's air freshener.

Dependent on which site, it's usually clean and prices on paper products, cleaners, laundry stuff, coffee lowest. The "kiss" brand nails I use are more than $4 cheaper than the 3 big pharmacies.

hi my name is Daniel rohaback employee ID 1716380 on sep4 I quit dollar general on 1833 Elmwood because I was force to work a shift that I wasnt schedule had 30 mins of sleep igot phone call aound 7 something am they knowing I no sleep and my sleep apnea acting told i had no choice to come IN on my day off so I said quit because I knew if I said cant come inshe was going to fire me anyway. week after I quit my son ran low of diapers I check the two dollar general near me but out so I went my old store my boss Ivette big smile and grin on her face told me im not allowed in there because i dont live in the area and I dont be in this area witch Im always in that area I go to library in that area as in many other stores so I was discriminated because I don't livein the area which I think is wrong. I called and text my district manager Terri white but no call or text Regarding why is reason I'm not allowed back into Dollar General on Elmwood buffalo new york. I didnt steal or make no problem but quit when force to work which I'm never deleting the text messages my next step is sending letter to corporate then I'm going contact my lawyer for discrimination not telling ME reason why I'm not allowed in dollar general In 2 weeks if I still don't get a reply back the reason why

Dollar General is ok they have odd stuff there that I sometimes like, but occasionally they don't have what I'm looking for, but price-wise it's good.

I will never step foot in this store again, I don't understand how it got worse after the "renovation" and some of the new staff is kinda rude.
