Love this little grocery store! Even in the small town of Boonville they have a decent selection. All of the employees I have encountered have been very helpful!

I only stop when I absolutely needed to. 90% of the time you can barely get through the aisles because they're restocking. This last time you could barely get through the soda aisle due to 4 pallets of soda sitting there. The prices at Walmart are better, safe yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

I love this store & the employees are fantastic. Always treated great. Never had a bad experience with anyone in the store. We shop all over & find better sales on the chicken, along with better produce, & great sale prices on the bottled water.

***UPDATED REVIEW***I used to avoid going to Tops for groceries because of how expensive it was. The last few months, I have had to shop there and been pleasantly surprised to find myself liking it! They are still pricey on some things but they have TONS of great deals! The one thing I had always liked was their 5 for $19.99 meat (still do!) I love the variety of ever changing deals they have now too! Plus, their staff is always friendly too!

We were in Boonville New York and we stopped at this tops cuz basically was the only grocery store that I seen before we hit Old Forge so we loaded up supplies and headed up to 4th Lake we have a tops in New Paltz and always good

The aisles where clean and stocked appropriately. Only thing I found annoying is they have a display setup next to a end cap which doesn't allow two people the use at once. The cashier was friendly and assisted with bagging my groceries.

This TOPS is located in a perfect location! It meets my expectation of the variety, quality, and value I have experienced at other locations and have come to expect from TOPS Friendly Markets. This store is at a crossroads--the road to the Adirondacks, Old Forge, near the Turin Ski Hill, numerous state parks, DEC state land use access, snowmobile trails, and the store is open year round. The best feature is that we did not have to deviate from the highway and travel through a village or city proper to get here. It has a clear sign, a turn off Route 12, then back on Route 12 without hassle. I recommend this market to anyone planning to enjoy the area, who want more selection and better prices than a convenience store gas station offers.

The lady who I'm assuming was a manager that I talked with about this odd looking fruit told me what it was and how to eat it so I said thanks but didn't buy it do to the size of the fruit and not knowing if I'd like it then as I was cashing out this lady was bagging up a piece of this fruit that we had talked over and gave me a sample of it to take home to try!!! I hugged her for being so thoughtful, I would only hope more people would be this kind for a stranger it would be a better world ♡

A small store with a limited selection. The physical condition is far from pristine. Except sale items, prices are quite high. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up bread, milk, and eggs, but it's worth the drive to Utica if you have a large shopping list.

Were instock on what we needed however cashier was rude. He asked if we had a topps cards. We said no and he said " i did not ask if you wanted a bag i asked if you had a topps card " 😒 just additude threw the whole process

The produce in this local store is good. Some of their sale prices on meat can't be beat but other grocery items can be high. You have to know your prices.

Nice store, prices are higher than in my neighboring town. I guess that makes sense, since they are now the only grocery store. People are very friendly and helpful.

I wanted to say a great big thank you to Scott Hutchinson the Tops Boonville Store manager for going out of his way to make our Easter meal superb. Life gets in the way sometimes to recognize an exceptional person and we have that person right here in Boonville. We love LAMB! I wanted to have some for Easter but was having trouble finding it. I called the New Hartford store on my way there and they had just sold their last one. They suggested I call my local store which also did not have it. The next day I stopped by and Scott happened to be there. No one knew I was looking for lamb the day before but everyone knew after that. He called over to many stores and finally found it in Manlius I think. On his way there his District Manager heard that Scott was on his way to pick up lamb for me ( a bunch of it ) and met him part of the way. This was more than I ever expected. Thank you for making a wonderful Easter celebration meal for my family happen. There is nothing better than a small town Local Supermarket with heart. Scott carries on the motto of TOPS Friendly Markets.

Saw 4 people denied service because of no mask. They wait until you get to the register with your entire grocery order before they tell you, then lie and say it’s a law. They yelled at me for standing on the waiting line and not behind it but I watched 8 people sign for their orders with the credit card machine pen and it was never cleaned the whole time I was there. Will never go there again, way overpriced anyway.

Have stopped several times while traveling to Utica from Northern NY. Smaller than the Lowville store, but still has good products and good service.Tops is more expensive on some items than Price Gouger, such as bacon (any brand), some brand name sauces and dressings. However, the prices on most items are within the same margins as most retail grocer's.Being smaller than the Lowville store there are some things that are not in stock here that are in Lowville. Lowville and Boonville both carry Boski kielbasa which is sold in a regular kielbasa and a spicy version. Booneville only seems to have one or the other. I have never been able to buy both at the same time here.The Boonville location also seems to have less varieties of breads, although that may be just supply and demand issue.Overall I will shop at Tops before Gouger anytime I can. Since Golub has altered their focus to profits over "savings" for their customers I have found Tops to be a good alternative
