Incredible place for all your water craft needs. They have kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and a truly dedicated staff. We drove over two hours to shop there. We were well taken care of. Every question we had was thoroughly addressed, and the staff wanted to be absolutely sure we were satisfied with our choices of boats. This is THE place to go for what you need.

Great service and kayaks! The prices were reasonable and the staff was sweet and helpful. I loved that we left from the island and that area was a bit more quiet than the downtown Lake George area.

Love this place!Friendly staff, amazing views, stellar gear, friendly staff: nice and professional. The fleet of kayaks are great. The location in the lake is very nice and lends itself well to the activity of kayaking. I went there with my wife and had a great time.Huge wait of 45 minutes to 1 hour at peak times. May be worth it though if it's your first time and you're not a regular. Lots of people who go there and big lines. (If you do the activity frequently, you're obviously better off if you have your own kayak and launch on your own instead of going to a service location).Parking can be tricky, though there is also plenty roadside parking. Just make sure NOT to park where there is permit required or risk towing.Only downside is that bathroom is a portable toilet and not a fixed structure.

It was my first time kayaking ever and they did such a great job making it so easy for us 😊 I recommend bringing some sandwiches in a waterproof bag! Also don’t wear sneakers 👟 wear some slides!

Excellent ! The staff here were dealing with an unfortunately under staffed day, but we couldn’t tell at all with how smoothly they ran things. We all got single kayaks. They told us where the kayaking was easy and where people usually flip over. All kayaks were good quality, although mine was down a knee pad and I couldn’t figure out how to adjust the feet stands. Very happy- a must do in lake George!

We had an Amazing Experience here the Staff was so Friendly and Helpful. We had never kayaked or paddled boarded before and they gave us very helpful tips before we got out on the water. The boats were in great condition. This place was great we definitely recommend this establishment.

Great place to rent kayaks with kids. The area off the rental site is in a fairly large no wake (power boats have to go slow and make no waves) zone. Our kids really enjoyed the experience and the kayaks are in good condition. Staff is friendly and helpful. We’ll be going back.

I went with a couple friends and our dogs. We had an amazing experience!! They were very responsive in helping us get situated and into kayaks. They also were helpful in recommending kayaks versus canoes and where to go given the weather conditions. We had planned for half a day, but given the weather, we ended up cutting it short. They were very kind to give us a refund down to the lower price of the time we actually spent rather than what we had originally purchased. Can't wait to go back!!!

Friendly staff here!! They launch you out into the water right from the boat house... no wading into the water to launch or to return. Large and gorgeous area to enjoy while kayaking.

Best kayak store in the region! The store owners helped me get my 2023 Hobie Marge outback when they weren’t even in season which was awesome, I was able to order and customize my kayak exactly how I wanted it, this store offers the best makes and models of watercraft in the world. Highly recommend!

This was my first time kayaking. I had no idea what I was doing. I crashed into some rocks on the shoreline at first because I didn't know how to turn. Then we kayak'd for hours past the bouys they told us not to go past. A bunch of boats came zooming around and we kayak'd to a distant mountain and found some house from Resident Evil. We would have disembarked but the only way to get to this house was through the little dock area and I was afraid our kayak would have drifted away. If that had happened my plan was to start a fire and put it out and send smoke signals for help. If I had more phone battery I may have tried it but I was at 30%. We ended up kayaking back towards the place we rented, against the wind and through choppy water. If you didn't row, the boat drifted backwards and sideways faster than we could row forward. I went into full beast mode and began kayaking for life. I knew my survival instincts were turnt up to level 12 simply by the fact I was kayaking faster than some of the motor boats going in the same direction. The business we rented the kayaks from was nice enough to send a rescue boat for us and they were met with a set jaw and a throbbing vein in my forehead that was slowly spiderwebbing down to my arms as my body made adjustments on the fly to deliver blood and oxygen to where it was needed most. I grinned and grunted at the boat driver and he gave me a sheepish nod and made his way back to the shore at which point I rowed even faster. The water began to feel like jelly and our kayak went airborne a few times. When Gavin wasn't napping and commenting on how beautiful the mountains were he played scout and kept an eye on where everyone else was. The vein in my forehead had now made it's way into my eyes and I activated my Byakugan to see the neon orange flags of Melissa's and Mariel's kayaks in the distance a mile or so away. I finally made it back to the dock but to the horror of the owners and employees of the kayak shop I began rowing backwards to meet Melissa and Mariel and direct them back to shore. All in all we kayak'd for three hours in crazy conditions. I would do this again but I need a flare gun and a harpoon. As per kayak rentals I would definitely come back here. Staff was polite and friendly. Gear was excellent and I especially liked the easy going labradors with the giant foreheads. They were sweet as pie.

Get they early in the morning to avoid the wait. Great staff. If you stay in the bay the water is calm, otherwise paddling through the open lake the water gets choppy from the boats. We went around Sagamore resort in about 45 mins.

Worth it even for the fact they push you in off the dock and pull you out. I’ve struggled for years trying to get in and out of kayaks off the dock, even sit ins. So that was awesome. Kayaks were good, had flags on the back which is super helpful keeping an eye on your party !

My family and I were so happy we chose this establishment to rent our kayaks. I read reviews on so many places on Lake George (which had so many awful reviews at some of the other place, it was a no brained), so we could find a kayak without waiting hours in line. We were so happy to arrive and find they had more than enough inventory, the kayaks were in very good condition, and the owner was super nice. I would definitely go back next time we come to Lake George.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful! They have everything you could need for your kayak excursion, we even bought a life jacket for our dog so she could join us. The view from out on the water is breathtaking too! Such a fun way to experience Lake George.

About to visit for the 3rd consecutive year. Great people, very accommodating. I've had lots of friends rent from here while I own my kayak and only launch from here. I have not heard a negative thing said by any friend whose rented here. If you want to hit the water on Lake George, GO HERE.

We had a wonderful day on our paddle boards. Julie and her husband are so nice and made us feel welcome. The facility is impeccable. They have everything you need there and they focus on safety. Parking was good too. Highly recommend! A short walk to have a late lunch at the Sagamore was a plus.

The people who work at this establishment are very polite and knowledgeable. I brought my daughter for her first kayaking experience. They made her feel strong and confident before getting in the water. They are awesome and the y are very responsible and care a great deal. Absolutely the best.

Love this place! So friendly and what a gorgeous spot.We rented a canoe for an overnight trip. There is a $20 charge to keep it overnight and return it by opening the following day. So worth it. We used the canoe to get to a state park island to camp for the night. A wonderful experience.Highly recommend.

This is a must shop for your Paddleboard purchase. In my visit the staff was super accommodating and even let my demo before I committed to new SIC Oakeanos board. I had very specific desires for the performance and feel of the board. Their commitment to my needs was amazing. After trying two boards we settled on trying a third that was not originally in my scope. This board has met all the conditions that Lake George has and it is so enjoyable to be on sometimes even 6 days a week.Please visit them you for sure will be as happy as I am.I am certain I will get another board. Why only own two.

Very helpful front desk, gave us a lot of detail about kayaking across a part of Lake George to get to the island campgrounds. The equipment was top notch and with their advice, we felt confident we could make it there and back. They were mostly right, but take their comparisons on how long it takes take to get somewhere with a grain of salt. I think their estimates are just that, estimates based on good conditions and experienced kayakers. That said, I would still recommend going there and renting their equipment.

I know has very good reviews but I can only describe the experience we had. Holiday weekend very busy. They do not do reservations but called anyway to gauge the wait. Person on the phone said about 1/2 hr.We arrived less than 45 minutes after phone call. We ended waiting over 2 hrs for a 1hr kayak experience. The process caused over 200 strangers waiting in a parking lot some not wearing masks. Very disorganized.
