First time here. Heaven on earth with this carbon neutral bakery and cafe. Daily Made breads and pastries were yummy in the tummy. I was only stopping by for coffee while driving towards Tannersville when I stumbled onto this gem on NY-28. The almond croissant was flaky and tasty. The ciabatta was crisp on the outside and soft like a pillow on the inside. Irving Farm NY Coffee - Vanilla Latte was nice added touch. Going to have to make this my road stop for any trip to Hunter / Phoenicia/ Tannersville / Lanesville area. Can’t wait for the weather to accommodate the outdoor seating.

While Bread Alone has a nice atmosphere and is consistently open, the food leaves a lot to be desired. Over the years their quality of sandwiches and other lunch items have gone from tasty and delightful to "I paid how much for this?". Items are slapped together and seem to be more bare than each previous visit. There are better lunch options to be had near by, but the questions is... are they open?

This place is a great stop for anyone visiting catskill mountains. The brand new space offers tons of seating! The food is okay but the pork sandwich was EXCEPTIONALLY TASTY!I don't recommend getting the pastries unless you can warm them up somehow, but everything else was pretty good!

Very modern bakery. Very clean and bright. There were many bread selections of bread and even pies to choose from. Go for the smoked salmon sandwich if you get the chance. It was delicious! The restrooms, although there were only two was very well kept. The staff was friendly and helped with anything you needed assistance with.

This location has opened since the last time I was in the area. Funny- I drove by on the way to get a breakfast sandwich down the road and was curious what was in the building as it was busy at 8am. Assumed some office building. Got a breakfast sandwich at Olive's by dollar general and was disappointed as the bread was very dry and basically ruined the sandwich. Seeking a reprieve, I searched for local bakeries and found Bread Alone that I apparently drove by.Bread Alone's Boiceville location is completely carbon neutral and suppedly the largest carbon neutral commercial bakery in the US. Anyway, it's a unique venue. I was only getting a cinnamon roll but ended with 3 items- the breakfast bun, a pecan sticky bun and the flour less chocolate torte. The breakfast roll wasn't a typical cinnamon roll unfortunately, but it tasted great due to probably containing a stick of butter. The torte ($7) was too appealing not to try.For a few extra dollars, I could have had a breakfast sandwich on fresh bread. I'm unsure the quality of their food beyond the bread, but will find out.If they're that carbon neutral, I'm surprised there aren't chickens running around so they can retrieve eggs on demand and foot.

Lovely staff. Delicious pastries. Beautiful new building (with the cutest tile work I've ever seen in a commercial bathroom.) Super yummy sandwiches (try the squash and halloumi, it's amazing.) One of my favorite places to stop on my way to the mountains!

Great place to eat. Very new, modern, and clean. Food is very good and high quality. I would highly advise coming here and you will enjoy the ambiance and the food. One thing I would encourage would be for them to put some time in making the management of the customers line a little bit better. When you walk in, it's unclear if you are in line for bagels or for food. They should probably set up two lines. Otherwise you may not want bagels, but you're stuck waiting in the bagel line too. Overall, it's a great place with indoor seating and outdoor seating.

I’ve been going here for well over a decade but only a couple of times each year when coming home from Belleayre skiing or hiking at the Ashokan or other local trails. This was my first time with the new building. The old building was kinda funky and cool. The new building is beautiful. Lots of tables are available to eat inside or outside. A new outside stand is being built which will add another nice aspect to stopping here to eat. There is a new large solar field behind the building. A sign inside said they are carbon neutral. That’s a nice commitment they made. This adds to what always felt like a caring company. What brings everyone to Bread Alone is the food. The breakfast menu has a good amount of items on it. I’ve ordered the Breakfast Burrito a couple of times and it’s delicious. That’s really not surprising as everything on their menu is delicious. A few times a year I get lunch from the Rhinebeck Bread Alone a few of their sandwiches and enjoy all of them.If you stop there you will end up buying a few things to take home. It’s hard to leave without some type of bread or a muffin for breakfast the next day.

It’s so clean and fresh and perfectly designed with its southern California meets upstate New York esthetic. Great seating options indoors AND outdoors. Service was friendly. Perfect place for coffee and a pastry OR brunch OR a hostess gift. Obviously combo of all 3 would work great ;). The wild flowers in the front were gorgeous too!

Carbon neutral baker?!? Yes please! Delicious food without the use of fossil fuels makes my taste buds and conscience sing! The sandwiches with fresh baked bread were delicious! The pumpkin muffin was savory with a touch of sweetness. The lemon currant scone was delightfully sweet. And the blood orange mini tart hit the spot with a small candied slice of orange to top it off.

This is the kind of place where anything on their menu would satisfy. These people know how to make a sandwich with good bread and high-quality ingredients.

Lovely terrace and side garden patio, they have amazing breads-not as thrilled with the croissant I tried(maybe and off day). Cookies and breakfast were amazing-we went twice! Highly recommend!

I went this place for the first time and tried the Bulgogi sandwich. The sandwich itself was good but it was very salty. Only reason why I am taking one star off is because of salty taste. Pulled pork was good but it was the carrot and cabbage (Kimchi) salad. The staff was nice and very helpful.I would recommend this place to my family and friends but let them know that ask the staff for less salt in the food. I would definitely come back this place to try other pastry.
