Outrageously high prices, but it's really the only option in Beacon if you don't have the time to drive to Fishkill. Limited selection of items due to the small size of the store. Employees are friendly. It's always clean. I've never had an issue with parking.

This store is dirty and it’s way too expensive for what you get, even by 2024 standards. Came here for bananas and some veggies. I threw it all out. Bananas were black inside and the vegetables and had an odd taste. Glad to have so many options for better supermarkets in the area because I won’t waste my money here again.

Too expensive for produce that goes bad the next day. And if you don’t watch them ring the items up. Always the “sale” items - NEVER RING UP ON SALE! They need some local competition- so they can stop taking full advantage.

It was like a piece of heaven, nice people, great food, and amazing prices deli is insanely good and fresh. If you need a quick and reliable supermarket key food is 100% your first choice. The owners are angels and are the most sweet and great guys you’ll ever meet. This is just based off of my experience I think you’ll have one similar to mine.

Generally unfriendly and overpriced. Stock always seems questionable for meat and fruit. UPDATE: Doordash is cheaper with tip to buy a 4 pack of cottonelle ultra clean mega rolls...DD is $7.50 while Key Foods charges %9.18. At Walmart and other stores you can find it between $4-$6. They are charging a 30-50%+ markup on goods. This is beyond extortion and is price gauging to a point that doesn't seem legal. Greedflation should be this store's new name.

Two stars because there are some redeeming qualities: lines move quickly, store is relatively clean, staff is relatively nice.I didn’t want to write this review. I really don’t like writing negative reviews because as a small business owner myself I know how much hard work it is. But I’m just so tired of the rotten produce here, tonight was the straw that broke my back. Searched for a few minutes to find an apple that didn’t look damaged and it’s still completely rotten inside. So disappointing. We usually go to Hannaford’s or adams for produce because things here just feel soft to the touch, wrinkly, and generally old and stale. Arugula usually goes bad the next day, same with spinach.I also don’t understand their pricing, or why things are so much more than other places. The same yogurt I get at target is at least 30% higher here. Maybe there are additional taxes or overhead in Beacon…otherwise it seems like there is no rhyme or reason. It’s so frustrating because it’s the only place open in the evening (I really like the natural market when I can get to it / can afford it) and if I need something in a pinch I have to come here. I think another grocery store in Beacon could really help not just the customers, but also Key Foods be more on top of their game.

Small parking lot not the greatest location for a supermarket hard to exit with cars parked on either side of exit hard to see traffic coming in either direction. Good food selection fair prices from what I'm used to paying accepts wic and snap benefits

I'm so glad these guys are here. Say whatever you will about them; you cannot deny the convenience, nor can you deny the content. They're the ones who make Beacon walkable, and they are there for those of us who live in town. Note to Key Food: get more organic produce, please!

Nice, clean, stocked, small grocery store on Main Street. Nice variety of international grocery staples that I haven't seen on the shelves at other supermarkets in the area.

Thank you J.B. and the cashier who found my wallet!! I am so very grateful to you both and can certainly speak to the customer service at this Key Foods. They go WAY above and beyond! After searching at home, I drove back to the Key Foods only to learn that J.B., one of the owners of the store, was on his way to my home to bring it back to me. Thinking I would make it easier for him, I told the folks at the store that I would wait at the store (only a 5 minute drive from my house). After waiting some time, I asked if everything was okay – only to learn he had walked to my home! I offered to pick him up, but he then walked into the store. I told him I was going to offer him gas money because I thought he was driving, and he refused and said to “pay it forward.” Indeed, I will, but not without expressing my gratitude for J.B. and the cashier who clearly care about their customers very much!

I love Key Food. The service is incredible, but the prices are too high. There is. O other food store in Beacon, so they can freely price items the way they wa t. I only use Key Food to pick up singular items that I forgot when doing a regular shopping.

Small, cozy, old-fashioned grocery store. They had two varieties of fresh Christmas cookies that I brought to a New Year's party. They were a hit!

I shop in this store everyday and the new deli with the cooked food is absolutely fantastic. The meat selection is excellent, and if there is something I want that is not carried, the management will order it for me for future purchases. Yes, the prices are a little higher than larger chain stores, but the proximity to my home, the excellent products and the people who work there make it all worthwhile. Lynda Kamerling

Definitely and old school vibe here and there’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes simple is good and less overwhelming

I have lived in Beacon, NY. for over 10yrs. and have seen major improvements at this Key food location. I used to only go here for 1 or 2 items at a time but now the prices and selection are good enough for me to do most of my shopping here. I believe this location is family owned and operated. They really have done a great job and I hope they keep up the good work.

My mom and aunt love this store.. the owners are beautiful people, they treat my mom and aunt like family... they care ❤. A little pricy... but they put a lot back intothe Beacon community... good people. Keep up the good work.

This store may be slightly over priced but the convenience of having a local super market out weighs the minor price hike. It's clean, we'll stocked and has a very friendly staff. The deli always serves fresh Boars Head cold cuts and the service is always swift and friendly.

Obnoxiously overpriced grocery store items but I guess they can get away with it since they’re the only grocery store in Beacon. Small and very outdated looking. You’re better off heading to the Shop Rite or the Market 32 in Newburgh cause you’ll save way more money and will have more of a selection.

Been living In beacon for 3 and a half years now. Only come here for few things at a time. Prices are steep dire to location. The store is filthy especially the deli dept. There are always flys flying around the deli counter. And you can see how dirty everything is. Looks like the walls haven't been cleaned in years. And the clerk behinds the deli counter looks like he hates his life, and doesn't even pretend to be happy or smile while giving you your order. But like I said they don't really have much competition. Unless you drive 15 minutes to Fishkill. Just wish it was a bit cleaner for the prices that we have to pay to shop there.

I love the fact that considering the time we went in the grocery store, that it wasn't packed with people. They had a good supply of lysol spray. However I would have given it 5 stars if not for the simple fact they were price gouging on the lysol spray. $15 for a can is outrageous

Perfect neighborhood supermarket in the center of Beacon. Nice deli counter, wide selection of produce, variety of fresh meat & well rounded dairy dept. All your grocery needs including Arthur Avenue breads! Organic items, too.Courteous and professional owners and staff!

May 16 Owners allowed a man with no mask to shop and buy things from the deli. He went through every isle with his daughter. Did not give more than two feet while passing people. Disappointed.Former rating- store has a good amount of selection. Organic section. The produce is hit or miss, mostly can't move it fast enough and it's often over ripe. The facility was, I believe, pioneer in the mid century. It has beautiful large glass windows in the front with a neat cart rack but the building condition is poor. The original ceiling tiles are over painted with glossy off white, some missing. The floor is blank linolium with some faux wood patter as an attempt to enter the 21st century. In my dreams it will be as cute and functional as food town in cold spring. I was thinking a steel beam could be added to remove the red poles that are in the middle of the aisle. This is our town grocery so I believe I supporting it. But I hope they invest in it's future soon.

The only everyone's supermarket on Beacon's Main St. Coming from NYC, I find the produce fresh and the desserts tempting. The chocolate mousse is my favorite. They do stock organics. You will have to head over to Beacon Natural Market if you have deeper pockets to spend more on higher quality groceries. Fascinating to see senior citizens pushing a cart of groceries around Beacon's beautiful and hilly terrain. Quite a scene not found in NYC's elderly population who walk through level streets.

Prices are wayyyyy to high, just because what Beacon has become. It's a shame for the few of us that have grown up here and aren't from NYC with NYC wallets! However, they have what you need when in a pinch. IF you can afford it.

Our neighborhood Key Food's selection of goods keeps getting better and better. The prices are still too high, but the supermarket itself is very nice, well-laid-out, organized, clean; and management is always very friendly and helpful.

I honestly only went once with my mother two months ago, & noticed other than overpriced food they also sell cigarettes which is ridiculous. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Your a grocery store. Not a smoke shop.
