This has become a Christmas time tradition for us- driving to Amsterdam to get supplies to make my Mom’s pasteles recipe with my whole family. I keep coming back year after year ( 50 min drive) because the owners and staff are so helpful and friendly.

I drove 30 minutes to El Caribe and bought the most delicious empanadillas (chicken and beef), rice and beans with perni (pork), ribs, quenepas, homemade sofrito - I couldn't stop buying! The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly. Home away from home :)

Fantastic as Always. Perfect place to get some spanish meats and vegetables that can not be found anywhere else. They have 2 stores in Amsterdam and they are both fantastic and their prices are pretty good as well. Hot, cold food or hard to find items from the islands El Caribe Market usually has it.

If they ever close I will be extremely disappointed. The people are always very helpful and friendly. I don't speak Spanish very well so when I went there to get food they explained what everything was at their hot counter. The pernil is unbelievable. The rice is even better than my wife's abuela makes! Authentic, comfortable, and welcoming!

Reminds me of walking into a Bodega in the Bronx with a small cuchifrito section. This is where I go to pick up what I can not in all the other stores. They have everything thing you need to make sofrito and pasteles. If that doesn't help I don't know waht will.

Great food. Great people. Big avocados. Mangoes. And plenty of fan fare to go around should you need to grab a bite to eat. Nice owners. Good atmosphere.

Food was okay. Had pernil with white rice and beans. The meat was underseasoned. The beans had pumpkin in them, I'm not a fan. Very friendly people work here.

I'm concerned about hygiene and the pandemic. During the entire pandemic ive witnessed subs being made with one glove on while touching meat,lettuce and bread with non gloves hand. Also talking while making sub with mask off. More like yelling. Today I witnessed man making sub with eggs and grabbing a part of the egg to eat it just before placing it on the bread with non gloved hand. He was told multiple times by owners to put mask on and wear too gloves. He did only when told but when owners turn back he does this again. I've even personally told him and he yells and complains.

I love this place...from groceries to authentic hot Latin food, this is the place to go for all your needs! Nice and friendly family owned business. I go there at least once a day...I highly recommend them!

Great lil family owned Puerto Rican grocery. Its small buts its got tons of stuff, including made on the premises hot foods that are delectable. And the people tbat work there are super friendly and very helpful. I recommend taking a trip and trying something new.
