I asked if they had straw for mulching garden beds and they said yes and I bought 5 bales for my garden. Photo shows what they gave me. This straw would be fine for other purposes but is FULL of seeds as low quality straw tends to be. Unfortunately I trusted that it was good for gardening and covered my beds in it. Now I have thousands of seedlings growing to weed from my brand new beds and I’m going to have to purchase more mulch elsewhere.

This is the best farm store ever and go there for all of my animals the staff knows a lot about many farm animals they're very friendly and helpful it's always a joy to shop there would definitely recommend it.

We went inside for rabbit food and treats.Immediately I was impressed!! Just so many western things and every pet food items.The cowboys were very kind and helpful. The cowgirl was lovely and extremely helpful and put the fifty lb. Bag of rabbit food in my truck. I'm excited to going back to go shopping. Beautiful store.Wonderful area. Locally owned and managed, a great selection of quality goods at competitive prices. I love the fact that I can get holistic, organic food for my dog here without having to go into the city.

They are always friendly and helpful, very inexpensive, I get bails of alfalfa, Timothy Hay and pellets for my rabbits. They have homemade woodwork, leather and plenty of supplies for all pets.

Staff was awesome. I went with my aunt, who is coming up on 80 years young. I was wondering if she would get the help and respect from the staff that she approached with her list of needs. Mind you, that that it was 5:30 pm on a Friday evening. I followed her in and she never got a chance to ask for help because, the checker was already asking about the list and the stocker was grabbing the item.

Today I went visited Western Mercantile in Tijeras for the first time. Out of habit and convenience I’ve always gone to TSC. But today marked the third time going there and them not having what I needed, so I decided to make the trek to Tijeras to see what Western Mercantile had to offer. Not only did I find the items I truly needed, but I was also welcomed with shared poultry knowledge for alternatives to non-vital items on my shopping list. It was so wonderful to walk into such a clean, organized and well stocked feed and supply store. The customer service was above and beyond - I was grateful that my 50 lb bag of feed was carried to my car without my even asking. It was a delightful unexpected courtesy, one of which has now made me a lifelong customer.
