The park was very secure. There was a gate for entering and exiting and the park was very quiet during quiet hours. The spaces are very tight for larger rigs. We were told our 38' toyhauler would fit with no problem. The camp host didn't escort us to our sight, and we had difficulty fitting into our spot so as not be in the road, able to open our slides or having our sewer hose next to our neighbor's picnic table.Vehicle & ATV parking was an issue. Your vehicle needed to be parked in the parking lot for ATV trailer parking (1/8 mile away from our site) and there was a $5 daily charge for parking your ATV near your site. When we said we would be parking our ATV in our toy hauler, we were told the $5 fee was for entering/exiting the park, which they waived for us, since we were trying to make since of the situation. Our friends paid $5 each day to leave the park in their ATV.People were squeezing their vehicles near their campers making it very difficult to enter and exit the park with the larger rigs.Be sure to read all rules and regulations before renting a spot, as there are no refunds. Once you are there and not happy, you are there for the duration of your stay.

This park was excellent. Lots of trees for shade but still open enough for satellite dish reception. Nice creek running through the property; bring your pole if you want to fish. Staff very friendly and helpful. Deer roam through every day. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our second year in a row to visit, we waited a little long to book and weren’t able to book the spot we wanted. The premium spots are definitely worth it but there’s not a bad spot in the whole park. The store up front is a big bonus and everyone here have been very friendly. The town of Red River is one of our favorites around here, the surrounding areas are nice but if you’re looking to relax then Red River is the place.

Posting so someone doesn’t make the same mistake as me. The monthly rate is for 30 days, So if you book a month that has 31 days make sure you add the extra day. It is stated on their website, I just missed it. The park and the host have been great. Unfortunately the site was already booked for that night. They did offer to move us to another site for the night. But it was easier to add a night to the first leg of our journey home.

Stayed at the Roadrunner Rv Resort.I must say this resort buy far is the best. I love the adult section no one allowed under 18.Perfect for R&R I especially like that no one can come into the resort unless you are staying there. The security now a days is needed. This is a must stay at resort they greet you with a smile the staff is amazingly friendly the resort is very clean and neat.Booked for next year. Trying to get in sooner but our business keeps us busy...They have large enough spaces to accommodate our 40 foot Allegro Bus.Not to mention wide accommodate all slide outs.I just cant say enough about Roadrunner Rv Resort is one of the best we have stayed at..PSThere was a visitor without a passIt was a bear 🐻 video recorded him from the inside of our coach of course 😄

Clean, quiet and very well organized. We stayed here over the 4th of July. This campground has its act together. Check in with seamless. The grounds are spotless the bathrooms if you need them I heard are private and clean with a shower in each private room. We stayed in the adult only section with a 26 foot long RV and the lots were the perfect size. They also offer premium sized lots for your larger RVs.I highly recommend this location. The main street of Red River was very close by with plenty of excellent restaurants, sites to see and more off-road trails than you could enjoy in one week. We hit the trails with our off road vehicles and had a blast. They permit UTV's, ATVs, razors, etc. To drive down main Street. There's also a grocery store, a hardware store, everything you might need while on vacation very close by. I would say this is more adult oriented but we saw plenty of families with children and they do have a lot of activities for families with children.

Awesome campground and facilities, I have stayed there 2 or 3 times over the years for the Red River Memorial Day motorcycle rally and once with my family. After I left the 2023 rally I immediately made my reservations for next year so I could get a premium spot. A couple of weeks after I got home I found out that the town cancelled all future rallies and to my dismay the owners made very little effort to help me reschedule my trip and they charged a $50 cancellation fee. I understand that rules are there for a reason but they could of made more of a effort, especially with extenuating circumstances surrounding the cancellation of the rally.

Been staying here for years, I’ve dealt with their problems for the last time. This year I brought two other campers (family’s) plus my in laws, aunt and uncle shared the 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house called the retreat that cost 2k for 6 days it had no air conditioner, the house got up to 85 degrees every day. The spare bathroom shower has a massive crack in it that they tried to patch but ended up just throwing a bath mat over it to partially cover it up, my aunt fell while showering because of it. Also in the kitchen the sink leaked the whole time soaking the floor, the dishwasher doesn’t work at all, there is almost zero water pressure and the house is extremely unlevel. The sliding door from the master bedroom has a 1 foot drop because the deck is falling down. The place should be condemned. The fees they charge are outrageous. I drive a truck with two motorcycles in the bed, a camper with a small trailer with a side by side on it and the fees for the this are 5 dollars per day per piece of equipment so for 10 nights that’s an additional 200 dollars just for my stuff. Keep in mind that I always book a site that fits all my stuff including the utility trailer. That’s pretty high considering none of the other campgrounds charge for such a thing. Then my friends brother showed up to visit for two days. They made him pay a visitors fee. Not sure how much.Needles to say, I’m done with road runner RV resort.

I've stayed their twice and it's the best RV resort I've ever stayed in! Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, little store for forgotten items and ice! Free trolley to town, locked gates at night make it feel extra safe. Fun playground and tennis courts, I cannot think of a single thing I would suggest as an improvement!Nearby activities: Rent a golf cart or bike to town!Safety: Super safe, no need to lock the RV doors!

An old RV Park where you are packed in like sardines. There is no space between you and your neighbor. It appears they have electrical issues as my voltage fluctuated from 120 volts down to 112 with nothing on in my RV. When I mentioned to the maintenance man he indicated that they have several power outages on a regular basis. The rates on the website are also misleading. The website indicated basic 30 amp sites start at $60. We had a basic site and the cost was over $300 for 4 nights after they added all their extra charges. On a positive note the two gentlemen opening the gate were very nice.

Great place, very nice site. We had Premium #10 for my 29' High Wall pop-up. Plenty of room for the camper, vehicle and a canopy. The employees are very nice and helpful from the front desk to the folks at the gate. My only disappointment is the restrooms cleanliness. It doesn't take much to spray with cleaner and hose it down. But, the grounds themselves and the employees are the reason for the 5 star. We'll be back!

Nice RV park with tons of options for sites. Ours backed to the river which was a great bonus. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathhouse facilities are individual rooms with a shower, sink, toilet and seat, plenty of space if you need to take your little ones in with you. The playgrounds are simple but a nice break, just needed seating for parents. Location is at far edge of town, which is convenient especially when town is busy you don't want to be in the middle of all of that.

My husband, our two sons (ages 19 and 22), and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Black Bear Bungalow. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the covered deck was awesome. Our sons had a blast playing several matches on the tennis court. The shower house was nice and clean. It's just a short walk to fishing in the river right there in the resort. We're from TX, and we really appreciated spending a lot of time outside in the cooler temperatures. We found the resort quiet and peaceful.

This place is fabulous!! We come here at least twice per year. We love the laughter and sounds of children in the summer, and the quiet, but yet full, park in late summer. We love walking through the park and meeting new people and dogs. The fishing is good, the weather is great, town is close enough for some outings, and there are endless possibilities of day trips. The owners are fabulous! They run a great business, are friendly, accommodating, and they don’t hesitate to make sure things are done according to the rules, so everyone is comfortable and safe. The gated community is a huge plus. There is hardly a bad spot, in this park. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Road Runner RV park. We loved staying at one of the premium sites along the river. The staff was very friendly and the location was conveniently located near town. Our site was large enough to host our family of 7 (including us) that were staying nearby. We went 9/30/22 - 10/03/22 and loved seeing the fall foliage.

This was our first time visiting Red River and my family and I were very pleased with the Road Runner RV Resort. The campground was very clean and well maintained. The staff members were very friendly along with many great sites to choose from. If you enjoy fishing the river had plenty of fish that you could fish free of charge (no permit necessary). Also, the town is 3-5 minutes away where you can shop, eat, and explore. We also attended this years town car show that was held this past weekend, which was pretty neat! We were so pleased with our stay we already booked for next year during Memorial weekend to attend the motorcycle rally! I highly recommend this campground for everyone to enjoy!

This was our second time to visit Roadrunner RV. The first time was back in 2007. I don’t remember the hospitality in 2007 ,but I don’t think I’ll forget how perfect it was in 2021! We had no trouble getting reservations approx. a month before our trip. To make it even more of a challenge for the staff , we had 4 campers in our group. We started out with 2 then added #3 and a couple of days later #4 . And then within a week we wanted to come in a day early. EACH and EVERY time that I called they treated me as if it was no trouble. We pulled in there on Sat. Sept. 25 and the gentleman at the front gate made us feel like he was as excited to see us as we were to be arriving. The front desk absolutely knocked it out of the park to get us some great spots for our group. Every time we came in and out we never even had to use the gate code, the gate attendant was always Johnny on the spot. They had everything we might need in the way of propane, ice, etc.. Now i know the owner and his staff are dealing with the public and it’s not always as grand as it may look from our perspective. Knowing that makes me appreciate each and every one of them even more. Thank you to ALL of the staff for a very enjoyable stay!

Wonderful area and a beautiful RV park for the most part, BUT! there are far too many congested sites there (turn off). My wife and I walked the entire park and wrote down about 6-sites which were wonderful...but the rest were very tight. We camped for 3-days in spot 41. Most of the sites in this area are very tight and I'd suggest only camping in this area if you have a very small camper. We'll definitely visit again IF the spots we liked are available. Otherwise, it would be best to rent a hotel/cabin in town.

The park is quite pretty but our site was very small and cramped. We didn't find out until our son tried to visit us for dinner that visitors were not permitted on holidays. Had we known this at booking we would have stayed elsewhere since we had planned for our kids to share meals with us at camp. We also did not find out until setting up camp that our site did not allow campfires. I feel that better communication was needed from them. We were also disappointed to discover that the only news channel provided on cable was Fox. We will look for other parks should we return to Red River.

Very nice park and people, and super accommodating. We had a huge truck, trailer and RV with us and they found room for all of it. A burn ban meant no wood fires, but the park found us a propane pit to use - very nice!Red River is beautiful and the town is cute. SxS trails were mostly closed due to Elk calving season and beat up from a storm this winter, but we would definitely come back later in the year and absolutely would stay here again!

AMAZING! Road Runner RV Resort is nothing short of fantastic. My family and I have visited this resort 3 times now and our visits just keep getting better! The welcoming gate is where it all begins - the gate attendant is extremely friendly and answers any questions you may have (he even joked with us about how dirty we got out ATVs). Driving into the resort, everyone is waving and smiling at you! It's quite the experience. We stayed right next to the river this last trip and I would recommend that, if possible. The views and sound of the water in the morning is amazing. The hook ups are easy to maneuver. We loved all the dogs AND dog park! Lastly, for the size and spaces available, the resort is very quiet, quaint and welcoming. If you have the opportunity to stay here, do it immediately!

Super nice place and roomy. Be sure and ask for a spot with a fire pit.Better yet a fire pit and by the river. The town shuttle is free. You can walk to town though, it's about a mile or so. Very friendly employees and hosts.

We stayed here for a week while my husband worked nearby. Overall this rv park is very nice. Lots of mature trees for shade, two playgrounds for children and spots right by the river. My major complaint is they have one laundry facility up on the main road. For such a vast property this is incredibly inconvenient, especially when your spot is on the other side of the park. They also put us in a spot in a roundabout in our 43ft 5th wheel. We were in the corner spot, hard to get in and out and we always had to move trucks to let neighbors in and out.Would stay again. But will make sure to get a different spot.

We really enjoyed Road Runner! We stayed in spot 78. The weekends get REALLY busy and there is kids EVERYWHERE, but it cleared out nicely come Monday. Liked that the property is gated and has the river running through it. It was great being amongst trees. Having the fire pit and table was a great bonus. Not having free wifi was a surprise, but the paid internet has a great speed. Staff is friendly and helpful!

Wow! From the moment we pulled into the RV Park, we were greeted by one of the many amazing staff members working at Road Runner RV Park. He gave us a map and directed us to our site. It was absolutely perfect, right on the river. We were pulled to sleep at night by the sound of the river. The bathrooms/showers were always clean and stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towels. The playground was perfect for our kids. They spent lots of time there playing on the playground equipment, playing tennis and basketball. My husband bought firewood and it was delivered to our site by one of the many fantastic staff members. There was always coffee available in the office along with multiple items you might need in the camp store. The park is good sized, but everyone follows the quiet hours. We had a fabulous time and cannot wait to return!!

This is the first time we have been to Red River, N.M. It’s a super nice town with plenty of restaurants, stores and activities. We have a truck camper and stayed at Road Runner RV resort. The one staff we met, Charles, at the front gate was very friendly and helpful. The park is pretty crowded and spots are a bit tight. There are 5 bathroom/shower combos for over 120 spots which is ridiculous. I know most rigs are outfitted to handle those functions but some smaller rigs are pretty small and having the option of using the camps facilities is very helpful. Tried to sign up for the internet service and it came back with a message that this location is inactive. The Red River does run through the park so it’s convenient for fishing and there is a playground/tennis court for the campers so there are some pluses.

I can’t believe some of the negative reviews I’ve read on the Roadrunner RV Resort. We have been coming out here for several years and have loved this park and the owners Beau and his wife Katie and kids. They have been nothing less than a joy to work with. The park is gated, has great spots along the rivers edge with nice bridges for crossing when out walking and visiting with all of the fellow campers in the park. About as relaxing and friendly atmosphere as you could ask for. I’m sure readers can make up their own mind when it comes to these reviews. A place is not booked constantly if people don’t like it.Love it!!!
