Normally I've had great customer service at the location except for today when I was trying to find a certain spray paint that the Ace hardware website said they had in stock and the older employee who works in the paint area was literally telling me that they didn't have it in stock but then I told him it was showing that 15 were in their store and then he responded to me by saying then I can keep looking. He then took a look on his scanner and found a item number and I had that number on my phone as well and then he finally grabbed a step ladder and was able to find it even though he claimed that he didn't have it. He just didn't want to put forth the effort to actually help me. I think he's working in the wrong environment if he's treating customers like this. I worked in retail for almost 20 years and the last thing I would have done is acted the way he did and tried avoiding helping a customer like he did and he was extremely unprofessional. If he didn't want to help me he could have had someone else who actually wanted to try to find that item that they clearly had in stock..

5/1 went to get wild bird food, sign on display 2/20$ bags marked with "X" some spilling seeds. Cashier had to ask if that was the price ( not in circular) said "they would honor that price" as if I'm a liar?? Should of took pictures

Terrible customer service! Rented a tractor and trailer. Trailer had a old used tire on it that tore up while driving it to our home. Called them early the next day…. They said I had to pick up a tire from them (i live an hour away) have someone go out at my expense to change the tire and return the tractor and trailer. I was supposed to inconvenience myself drive an hour to pick up a tire from them, drive an hour back, pay someone to come change the tire all because they are renting out old equipment and they failed to do a maintenance check! AND THEN they charged me an extra day because it was in my possession while I repaired their equipment!!! Wow! I told the manager I had rented several times from them before and they were going to lose a customer over their mistakes! He said “Thats probably best” Lol! This is what’s wrong with this world now! People have no dignity to do the right thing now and truly believe they are winning but are actually losing!

I purchased an adapter that broke they replaced it it broke again they said it was my fault even though it happened the same way as I asked for corporates pH number the cashier was very disrespectful so I will never purchase at this Over priced hardware store again

I do like this ave which is located in portales NM I like to just go in for rare goodies in their kitchen section they have dry gourmet soups and awesome kitchen gadgets. This one carries Stanley and yeti! They also care cathart clothing men and women and work boots... staff is always friendly!!! Stop on by and say hi!!!!

This place is awesome. I am not a handyman by any stretch of the imagination, but they have earned my business due to their continued support and outstanding customer service. Every time I go into this store I am greeted by friendly and helpful staff ready to answer my questions on any project. They have given me sound advice over the years and continue to make recommendations that have resulted in the continued success on DIY projects. The owners are a great family who do a lot to support the local community. If you need it, I bet they have got it and if they don’t, I bet they can get it at a competitive price. If you’re like me and you vote with your wallet, then stop in and cast your vote here. You won’t be disappointed.

I am thankful we have 2 hardware stores in town. This place is clean and the garden guy is always very helpful. I've ran into two guys that act like your asking for welfare help instead of customer service but the rest of the crew have good positive vibes that make up for it. The store is well stocked and if they don't have it they've always offered to get it ordered for me. I have ordered a few things and it comes in within a couple of days, I don't have to wait too long to get it. A little more pricey than lowes or home depot, but I don't have to make long trips so it's worth it. I would have rated a 5 if it hadn't been for the two guys that made me upset and frustrated.

When I was there it was my first time going into your store, and the customer service I received wasn't the best. The employees were borderline between being rude and completely ignoring me. I pretty much had to find what I needed on my own, then when I needed to get the lock re-keyed the employees were not the nicest. Same with the cashier up front that rang me up. That's what I think needs improving. Thanks for your time.

Amazing staff! Always there to help, especially when you're tackling a DIY project and are maybe a bit unsure about the best way to proceed, or when you're just looking for a suggestion about a particular product. It's great to know that there are retailers still out there with knowledgeable sales staff willing to help.

The store is very neat and always clean. Plus, the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful when helping you decide what you may need.
