Alex is a Fantastic, very skilled & kind dog groomer. He took care of both my darling pups in record time. Sorry I forgot to take "after" pics this time. The attached pic is from the first time Alex groomed Blossom. We will definitely go back to Alex & will include pics in my next post.

Dr. Carver has a vaccination clinic at this location every Friday and other locations as well.Dr Carver is an incredibleVeterinarian. She cares deeply for all the animals and does amazing for their care . Now this is a woman that helps the community buy adjusting her prices to be affordable for people that love animals , providing homes filled with love, safety and care, but have limited budgets. Thank you, Dr. CARVER you are incredible. ❤🌹💐

Alex is amazing!!! He put this fur mama's heart at ease about leaving my sweet girl. He gave me a complete tour and he answered ALL the questions i had. He was freaking amazing with Letty and she loved it!!! Highly recommend and entire staff we interacted with were great!!! We will definitely be back soon!!

At other Kennels our dogs sometimes come home anxious and we had to drag them inside for their boarding. Since we have started coming here they are happy to come inside and see their friends here. Great workers they always greet our dogs by name and come give them attention as soon as they see them, you can feel the love they have for my girls. They now come home happy and 0 Anxiety

Very affordable rates, the staff that I dealt with were all very nice. My dog usually doesnt do well around strangers but she did good with the staff there. Will definitely use their services again if we are out of town for an extended fime.

I have been taking my dogs to MVPR for four years and they have loved it. The staff are always helpful and demonstrate that they truly care for their "guests." I love the enormous indoor recreation area that gives the dogs an air conditioned play area in the summer. Whenever I ask my current canine companion whether she wants to go to doggy daycare, she gets excited and can't wait to jump in the car and go. Her wagging tail is the best review that could ever be written.

My dog's a super friendly girl who gets along with everyone. She was totally panicked when I picked her up after only 4 hours at Mesilla Valley Pet Resort. I've NEVER seen her so thirsty in the 4 years I've had her. She was absolutely desperate for water & couldn't drink enough. A few days later, she came down with a severe respiratory infection. I regret leaving her in their cArE. Obviously we will not be going back.

We have used Mesilla Valley Pet Resort several years for boarding, and have noticed a downward trend in the professionalism and care give to our dogs. Most recently, we signed up over the phone and paid for their Puppy Manners Class to start on 08/24/15 for 8 weeks. We got a call one hour before the first class letting us know a home domestic issue required them to cancel that evening’s class, we understood and that was not a problem. The next Monday we showed up for class as scheduled, and they were closed and no one was present for the class. The following morning (after not returning our call) we called and the owner stated that she had forgotten to call and cancel that class as they had a 3 week old litter of kittens at home to care for…seriously??? This is at a boarding kennel and that was the excuse!! The owner then said we were the only one signed up for the class and asked us to wait until the next class in January. We explained that in January our puppy would be over the 6 months old age required for the Puppy Manners Class, and she said it didn’t matter because she ran all classes together. If that was true, were we the only ones signed up for the 8 week series of all the classes offered starting in August?? That should have been a clue to us right then. When I stated that we did not want to wait until our dog was 9 months old for a Puppy Manners Class, I asked for a refund, and she said her finances were such that she would not and could not give any refunds, even though she had been a no shows for her own class. WOW, were we surprised, and there are no disclosures saying no refund anywhere. The loss of the $100 was a lesson earned on trust and a lack of professionalism, so we cancelled our three dog reservations for boarding in October, and we parted ways; any business owner would see the benefit of refunding $100 to keep our business, which in October would have amounted to $350 alone, and we have boarded there more than once each year. Over the last few years, we have referred them to 5-6 friends and co-workers who we have now communicated with that are moving their boarding needs to other kennels. We feel it necessary to give a negative review so others can avoid getting taken as well as the possibility of their pets not being properly cared for. The owner will likely give some lame response to this review, and our intentions are not to hurt her (Shawna) or her business directly, but she did us wrong and when we indicated we would post our experience on review sites, she really didn’t care, it sounded like she is ready to give up. Beware if you use Mesilla Valley Pet Resort in Las Cruces, you’ll likely be disappointed, and if this is any indication of how they treat their customers, they won’t be around much longer.

I have taken my dog here for years with no problem, but the last few times every one is new and you never see management there. Left my dog there on Friday Feb 23, 2018 and picked him up Saturday. He started having seizures in the parking lot. He had three seizures before I could get him to the vet. I don't know what happened, but I think something did, he is only four years old. UPDATE: 3/20/18, My dog did not have any seizures before that day at the kennel and he has not had any after the six he had after picking him up. 4 on sat. and 2 on Mon. It has been over three weeks, and he is perfect. Something happened there!!!! UPDATE #2: It's now April 24th and my dog still has not had any more seizures. Would like to know what happened there.

I absolutely love the way Mesilla Valley Pet Resort takes care of my pet. She is always happy and excited when she gets to go even if its just a half day of day care! The prices are the best around for the stellar care provided. I wouldn't take my girl anywhere else! Thank you Mesilla Valley Pet Resort!

Was offered a discount because they failed to provide requested services (returned dogs Not brushed). then couldn’t provide discounted service for over a week. Then I was told my dogs tried to bite them, further stating they never tell the truth about bad dog behavior to the owners, makes you wonder how they treat your dogs the next time you take them there.

My Great Dane Nina has been going to Doogie Day Care at Mesilla Valley Pet Resort for almost 2 years now. She loves her time there. She has plenty of friends to play with which include, her four legged friends as well as her two legged friends, meaning the staff. Everyone is absolutely wonderful. Their top priority is our fur babies. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

They recently under went a management change about 6 months ago and I love the place. They call and notify you of any changes with your pet or if they just have questions instead of guessing and getting it wrong. The staff seems friendly and they are very knowledgeable. Most of the staff are Pet CPR/First Aid Certified which makes me feel that my pets are safe there and getting all the attention they need, not to mention food and medication. ;D

I have left my dogs at this facility before and the biggest problem I had was that they didn't read directions and instead of hypoallergenic shampoo, they bathed one of my dogs in heaven only knows what chemicals that smelled. This time, they made my dogs sick; one of my dogs came home with diarrhea and vomiting. The second dog got the disease the next day. This place is not recommended!!!!! They stayed there 2-1-17 - 2-5-17. Also, they have no one at the facility at night and have no way of checking if the animals are sick or not. When I got there Sunday afternoon, they apparently had just gotten there also, because they didn't even know my dog was sick. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS FILTHY PLACE! THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THEM ONE STAR IS BECAUSE THE SITE WOULD NOT LET ME POST UNLESS I SELECTED AT LEAST ONE STAR.

This place is my dog's happy place. He loves being able to play and I appreciate how kind everyone is to my pup. He always comes home tired and happy. No complaints and they are very accommodating to my work schedule.

Price is not a factor when it pertains to family pets, but you would expect staff members to be responsible and have common sense. I boarded my dog for the weekend and she was attacked by another dog during play time. Things happen when dogs are mixed, but their lack of intellegence is the most upsetting. When I arrived to pick up my dog on Monday evening, I come to find out my dog was attacked on Saturday. I received no phone calls and they did not take my pet to the vet or try to bandage the wounds between Saturday-Monday. My dog sat in that cage with a large wound to her neck, multiple nails missing and bit marks for 3 days. This is unacceptable! I do not recommend Mesilla Valley Pet Resort to anyone.

Great place for pets to stay if your going out of town or even just for day care while you at work so they don't have to stay at home all day they can come and have love and play with other kind loving dogs or even just have one on one time with an employee there also have a wonderful place to board your kitty cat ♥️ also baths/grooming ...Just an over all Good place for pets 😸 🐩🐕🐈🦄🐾♥️
