The Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Gallup, NM, is a very CLEAN and easy to access hotel off the I-40. Rates were perfect and the hotel staff was kind. It's located next to Denny's, a gas station, and several other hotels if they're full.

Family and I are in town for my aunts funeral and I the midst of the chaos I took my children swimming and the front desk attendant rudely came up to me to complain about my children said it came from the manager! I’m a single mother of 4 and during this difficult time she was on a power trip and decided to ruin our day. Policies should be posted and if this facility is not family friendly then they should have it posted! Don’t bring your family here! they will be unwelcoming and complain about your children getting breakfast and using the pool! Whoever cleaned our room didn’t even vacuum! Don’t waste your money here. There are friendlier places, it’s his unfortunate considering they are supposed to uphold the IHG logo and can’t even afford a new sign.

Enjoyed our stay. Looked very busy but had room available. Big room and pet friendly was perfect for our overnight stay after being on the road for 48 hours.Rooms: Room was roomy and clean. Just a bit hot and had the air on and it didn’t cool much. Bed was big and smelled clean. Loved the shower, fit me and my husband comfortably and the soaps available were perfect.Food & drinks: Great selection of food and coffee is still as good as I remember (used to work at an IHG in Kentucky) Egg and cheese omelets were good but the biscuits and gravy was cold.

Very nice hotel! Curb appeal and general areas look very nice. Rooms are not yet updated, but our room was fantastic. Was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff looked very professional and were very nice. This appears to be a well managed hotel! We walked across parking lot and ate dinner at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. The dining room is much nicer inside than it appears from outside. Food was very good and we enjoyed not having to drive to get food.

I liked the hotel with the exception of loud noises thumping all night. I could here the plumbing through the walls. But the room otherwise was nice. The staff were friendly. I did like the handicap shower.Rooms: The room had a couch and another table for extra seating. The shower was adjustable and nice. The room was over the main door on the second floor. It made a lot of noise.

Great place right off the interstate. It's a little difficult to find in the dark, it sits behind the Denny's.The beds were pretty good,not too hard .The second stay was good, but we didn't get the comfy bed. We were helped tremendously by Sam and Devon. These 2 ladies went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. We really appreciate them.Food & drinks: The breakfast staff was super. They had temporarily run out of eggs and she came to our table and let me know when they were ready. It was very tasty.

Room was clean and employees were friendly. There were black scuffs all over the wall in the entry way that could easily be fixed by a little paint.The bad part is that the air conditioner was obviously programmed to run cycles of off and the lowest possible setting and it was clear that the thermostat is a dummy with no real function. I told the front desk about it and they said that there are no other rooms and they gave me a small plastic table-top fan. The room was hot and uncomfortable all night. Not a good thing in the middle of the summer. Also, breakfast was advertised to run from 0600-0900. Just went down at 0630 and nothing was there. I saw someone working in the kitchen area but we can't wait around all day for them to get it in gear so we are leaving to find breakfast somewhere else. Overall, VERY disappointing for a HIE.

We had a lovely stay here on a road trip to Navajo country. Probably the best hotel of the trip.The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with good furnishings that were in great condition. The beds were clean and comfortable, there was plenty of space for luggage and other things, plenty of outlets, the Wifi worked well, and the A/C worked well too. The bathroom was clean and everything worked well. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of everything. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and the location was convenient too.

Very nice hotel. From what I saw they do not seem to have USB charging ports on their lamps or anywhere that I noticed. Be sure & bring your wall charging port & cable. Their breakfast does not have waffles, sausage & gravy like a lot of southern hotels. I believe they had make your own pancakes though & Egg omlets are made with egg whites no yolk & sausage patties are Turkey sausage. Didn't see any Yogurt. But, with that being said the breakfast wasn't too bad.

Clean room. Free Hot breakfast, coffee anytime in the lobby. Not a lot of food options close by. You can walk to the BBQ place or Denny's. Other than that it's another exit to get a good dinner.If you're visiting the nearby casino this location would fit.

The room was nice. Although every time, we have to ask for additional coffee. There is only on regular and one decaf. The downstairs elevator button appeared to be broken. They were slammed because of an accident and delays on the freeway. I was glad we had planned ahead and made a reservation. This time seemed about $30 more than last time but we had a room that was comfortable. The air conditioner didn't blow very strong. All of this we should have reported to them but after sitting for 2 hours in the same spot in traffic, we were exhausted.

We've stayed at a few Holiday inn Express recently and this is by far the nicest. Would stay here again.Getting to it from the street is pretty confusing. I don't recall seeing a sign, so we just had to keep an eye on the building while driving through the other motel parking lots.

Spent six nights here. Hotel was very well run. My room and the common area were super clean. The staff was very friendly and the housekeeping team was helpful, unobtrusive and always very nice. I would highly recommend this property. It might be a little inconvenient if you wanted to walk into Gallup itself but it's perfect for interstate travelers and those that didn't mind driving five minutes into Gallup.

So excited to finally have a traditional breakfast with our stay vs a brown paper sack consisting of an apple and juice box, ugh! It was sausage, gravy, bagels, cin rolls etc and the lady who was serving it was so sweet. In fact the receptionist last night was also very nice and informative. The pools/spa were down but we didn't care. The room had a decent view in the morning and they allowed our black lab to stay. Nearby BBQ and Denny's would've been convenient too.
