Fantastic food and great service. Interesting clientele. Do they serve “take out”? However, the seating is not very comfortable. Also, it is best to call ahead just to make sure they are open, and what their schedule is, because one day we showed up and there was a staff training. They may have an early closing schedule, though you could probably stay to finish a meal if you are stil eating at closing time. It is best to call ahead.

At Angela’s Cafe, everyone is treated like a local. The staff here are genuine, friendly and attentive. Sitting at the counter gave us the opportunity to really admire the decorations and read all the hilarious signs.Notable eats: The tuna salad salad. It was recommended to have it with the Greek salad which is a winner. We modified the roast beef sandwich by adding bacon, swiss and New Mexico style green chile on ciabatta. M o u t h watering, softest ciabatta out there.Angela’s Cafe. Karen approved.

We had a really nice lunch here. I got a combination chicken salad sandwich and salad that were very good. Very clean and very good service. Before you leave, check the (free) museum upstairs to learn about Gallup's history.

2nd day dining here. 1st day had a sandwich called the rachel and today the chicken salad. Both days with the cream asparagus soup. If I lived here I would eat here daily. Everything is incredible. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive

This is a good place to grab a light and quick lunch. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Everyone was very friendly here. The service was very good. The food tasted fresh, as well. The prices were fair, too. The place was clean and the seating was comfortable. It wasn't too hard to find, either. The parking was a little bit of a walk but not too bad, either. Its definitely worth trying out.

Angela's Cafe is a nice little place. It's been a while but I will say that the people that work there are very nice and friendly. I must brag about their burgers! I don't know exactly what it is that made them so good but they were beyond good, the burgers are awesome! They have a really good food menu selection but the burgers are a must have, or at least try. You won't be sorry you did. 😎

I love this place. My office meets here often for meetings. The food is great and the service is fabulous. The place is clean. My favorite items are the bacon salad and lattes. The train does go by and its LOUD but it doesn't bother me- it adds charm.

Saw this place listed on google, stopped by on our travels. Quaint little place with great service. I had pastrami, hubby had MSB sandwich. Both were delicious. So glad we stopped.

Great cafe in Gallup New Mexico. Great service and even better food. Nice menu selection. Try the soups. Posted a photo of lunch. Back again. Best cafe along I 40.And the Story Teller Museum is upstairs. The museum has some fantastic artwork and a nice little history section. If you are into native American culture be sure to stop. Well worth it.

Forwarded by David J TsosieYou often hear about different type of negative experiences that people have while in Gallup. I didn’t think I would be exposed to such a rude awaking, but I did and it was so horrible. I went to the Gallup Train Station to have lunch at a place call “Angela’s”. I sat there awhile and waited for someone to give me a menu so I can order. No one was coming around so I got up and went to the counter to ask fo a menu. A young lady blew up and started yelling that I was disrespectful to her. I told her all I was asking for was a menu. She said I was disrespectful by my demeanor. Then she just stormed out.I know I have over 1,500 followers on Facebook and if you could each tell 4 other people not to eat at “Angel’s” that would be 6,000 people and if they could tell 4 other people that would be about 24,000 people. We need to start standing up to this racist attitude that these non-Natives have been towards us. Gallup exists by the very fact that we (Navajo, Zuni, Pueblo’s, etc) give it the financial lifeline to exist. If we all decide to stay away from Gallup for a month or two, we can make Gallup business people feel the pinch.

I am extremely impressed with the service at this lovely cafe. The food is delicious and notably different from the usual fair offered around Gallup. Great selection of sandwiches and always great soup of the day.

I have been coming to Angela's Cafe since it 2006 and LOVE IT! Mama Ang makes everyone so welcomed and the atmosphere is extremely inviting as well warming all at the same time.. being in our rural town of Gallup it's nice to have places that make you feel like you are elsewhere.. located in the downtown heart of Gallup off historic route 66.. delicious, fresh and elegant salads, sandwiches and desserts This is the place to be! Open for breakfast.. lunch or dinner

Angela's Cafe is usually open from 8:00 to 4:30 for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. They have a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Tonight they stayed open late for a jazz band to play, which happens irregularly.

Excellent food and service. This place is a trip and we took pictures of many of the wall hangings. We highly recommend this café. Lots of parking too.

Angela's has the best chai lattes!....when they are open which they never are! Our group reserved their back room for the day but the place was completely closed when we arrived and no one answered the phone when we called. We ended up having to find another location. I have tried going there 4-5 times during various morning times but they don't seem to want to open any earlier than 10am despite the hours listed. Very disappointed each time I go there and it's closed.

The service is slow; customers that came in after my party were helped first; on top of that it was a long wait after being seated. The waitress was told we were in a hurry to go to a movie; we were still told we'd have to wait. We left after I paid for my diet coke (Even that was a long wait.)

Great decor, friendly and attentive staff, excellent food, and desserts to die for accompanied by a killer cappuccino to top off your meal!! Angela's is tucked away in the historic train station along Route 66 in the heart of downtown Gallup, NM and is THE hidden gem of the southwest.
