Al Zuni has been indicted as a store that bought fake Native American jewlelry made in the Philippines, which is against the law. The owner has the same last name as the manufacturer in the Philippines and as the importer of these goods in New Mexico, Khalaf. Buy from the artists themselves.

An article in National Geographic details the investigation into Al Zuni's sales of foreign made jewelry being sold as made by native peoples. When counterfeit products are advertised as authentic and sold cheap, Native American artisans lose out on money. Please do not support a business that makes false claims and does not adhere to the rules of the Indian Arts and Crafts Act.
