This park had both pros and cons. The pros were it was in a location just a few miles from town. The park was small, well kept and fairly level gravel sites. The cons were it was located on a very busy road that could be very loud even at night. There was a dog boarding facility across the street that at times, not all the time, had a lot of loud barking dogs. Upon arrival I was told they charge to use a credit card. As we were there for a week I didn’t have enough cash so I had to pay the extra $10. This, along with tax put the nightly cost just under $60. Then while setting up, the owner came over and informed my husband we were responsible for our own electricity. Never had this for a short stay and it was never mentioned prior. When checking out there was no one available to read the meter so I could pay. The owner called me a couple days later to tell me what I owed (about $20) and when she put it on my credit card she also up charged me for using a card even though I had tried to avoid the issue by paying prior to leaving. So, about $63 per night for a place with zero amenities in this location seemed a bit pricy to me. I think people should be made aware of the extra charges when reserving.

Outstanding place to park your RV and take advantage of everything Taos has to offer.... My wife and I cannot begin to express how pleased with this RV Park we were... it is small, but very well groomed, great sites and to DIE_FOR_VIEWS of the mountains. The resort looks to be a LONG WAY out of Taos... it IS NOT! Downtown Taos is about 5 miles away... easy access. Great big sites, very good AC/Water/Elec/Sewer... and spotless...There are only 20 RV sites, so call in advnce to get reservations... the price is right... and we will be back here several times...

We stayed 2 weeks at Taos Monte Bello RV Park, a gated park, located just a few miles outside Taos. We stayed in site 10. The site is 75' long and 44' wide, gravel and easy to level. We had a pavilion on our living side, which meant we didn't have any neighbors. The pavilion was cement, covered, and had tables and BBQ's available for guests. The office area had two bathrooms/ showers for guests and a washer and dryer ($1.50 each). John and his wife Concha are wonderful owners. Anytime we called, prior to our arrival, if no one immediately answered, Concha called us back immediately. John was on site every day making sure all guests were taken care of and the park was well maintained. Though there isn't a dog park, a 1 mile walking loop is on the back of the property. We absolutely would stay here again! Lots to do in the area, hiking, 4x4ing, the Enchanted Forest Circle, Taos Plaza, Rio Grande Gorge, and Ojo Caliente.

One night stay on the way down to the Sante Fe area. Easy to get to on the out skirts of Taos.It is a very well kept park with friendly owners. We used the laundry facilitiescommercial washer/dryerimportant after 6 days of boondocking.Beautiful views of Taos from a distance at night.Highly recommend. We camped at Taos Monte Bello RV Park in a 38’ Renegade Super C.

We stayed there for a week during April. We were very happy with our stay. The gravel sites were large with full hookups and a nice view-the campground is slightly elevated and offers a good view. The park was very clean and everything was in good working order. The owner, John, wants to ensure his guests are taken care of and he offers insights on activities and dinning. He even created a map of the area. Nice man.We would stay there again.

Small all gravel level gated rv park. Would not allow Sunday entry office is closed. Very rural, nothing out here, 6 miles from Taos. Very busy noisy highway 64. Park roads dusty, gravel is sparse. Owner very nice and informative about Taos. Stayed 2 nights to see Taos.

This is a wonderful RV Park. The owners, John & Concha are most welcoming, even providing tourist info. We stayed for 4 nights in June and enjoyed everything about the place. It's secure, very clean, quiet, easy in and out and reasonably priced. The views are spectacular, even watching hot air balloons every morning and the walking path is very enjoyable. We highly recommend this place and will be returning here.

We arrived after hours. John and the very nice lady on the phone were so accommodating. We got checked in and John showed us to our site and even offered to take out photo in front of the mountains…mind you after hours and he had to drive back to check us in. This is such an adorable campsite with an awesome, scenic trail along the property. The main city of Taos and all the restaurants were only about a 5 minute drive. The views at this park are beautiful. The park is so quaint. I’d love to visit again next year as we pass through and spend a little more time.

We had the pleasure of staying here for several nights in early June. A pretty desert park in the middle of sage bushes. Everything was spotless clean and the sites were decorated with local plants. The bathrooms were some of the best we’ve seen. Each bathroom was large, had a bench for your belongings and had a nice teak bench in the shower that made showering so much easier on me. I have some mobility issues so a seat is wonderful. The owners/managers were super nice and helpful. The surrounding scenery was just beautiful. And the location was great for exploring Taos and the surrounding area. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

We stayed 7 days. Campground is family run, clean and large spaces. We faced the mountains and had incredible views. The facilities are closed due to COVID. There is also a nice 1 mile path for the dogs. There is road noise but quiet at night. We liked that it is a few miles from downtown.

Very nice park with well spaced out spots. Bathrooms were still closed due to covid. Nice pavilion area in the middle and about 16 or 18 spots so not a huge place which is nice. The best part was the coded gate and their check in policy. No one driving thru that wasn't staying there, no one checking in after 5pm and it's just a added sense of security. Wifi was very good also.. It is by the road but there is a fence and you didn't even know it was there because the campground is so peaceful. We meet the owner upon leaving and what a wonderful gentleman. We can't wait to return.

The owners are truly amazing and make you feel right at home from the get go. It is obvious they care deeply about your comfort and love what they do. Upon checkin, I was given a handful of local magazines and brochures, a detailed map of the city and how far things were and recommendations of things to do, see and eat. You also cannot beat the almost 360 view of the mountain ranges!!! The restrooms are super clean as well. They also have a small convenience store and coffee bar. The ONLY minor complaint I have is that the hot water heater is not sufficient for the amount of people that have to shower during the winter. I hope to be back some day!

We enjoyed staying here very much. Caring owners onsite who provide excellent service. Small park, very clean with private shower/restrooms, laundry. WiFi is spotty although they have two antennas. Maybe their provider issue. The walking path is really nice. Views of the mountains and sunsets are pretty! Really appreciated having a locked and gated park 24/7 with entry only by key code. Nice to know that the only traffic in the park is other campers. The location is a couple of miles north of tacos, very conveni The location is a few miles north of Taos. Convenient, quieter than in town.

While Monte Bello may seem like a no-frills campground, it is. But the owners and staff go out of their way to ensure that your stay is the best it can be. The location, with its dark skies at night, beautiful 360-degree views and an awesome 1-mile walking loop trail, make this campground well worth the stop! The place is immaculate and, with the plants and flowers along with the spectacular sunsets, this for us is the perfect location to spend our week in the beautiful Taos region of New Mexico!

We spent 3 wonderful days here. The views of the mountain range are beautiful. Clean and quiet. The hosts were very gracious, making sure we were aware of the city, restaurants, andVarious sites to see. Thank you, for making our stay a pleasant one.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in August. The hosts were incredibly accomodating and kind. I've never experienced such great hospitality at an RV or campsite before. All the facilities were very clean and comfortable. The hosts keep this site in great condition. It was very quiet and peaceful the whole time. The convenience store had everything we needed and things are reasonably priced, not marked up like a lot of RV convenient stores are. One time when we needed ice after the store had already closed two hours ago, the host came back to the store to see what we needed and gave us our ice. We will definitely come here again. The desert views were incredible too.

Facilities were very clean and well maintained. Shower/bathroom was one per gender. Very clean. Sites were roomy and the park was small and quiet. If we ever pass through Taos again we will stay here. Our only complaint is that the swingset was very rickety and needed to be set in the ground.

The park is very clean, and the owner was very informative about the Taos area. But the RV park is located on the highway, and was noisy with traffic. However, when we originally called to reserve a spot, we were told $41/night. When we arrived there for an 8 night stay, we were informed the $41 didn't cover electricity. What??!!! We have never encountered a separate charge for electricity for a short stay. We ended up paying an additional $26 upon check-out. Also, a worker was spraying something around the campspots that smelled toxic. We told him it was disturbing us, but he just mumbled something and continued to spray around our site. We will never stay here again.

Stayed here for a few nights to go skiing in Taos. Campground and showers were clean and well kept. The owners were extremely helpful and took the extra time to give local insights for the best things to do and see around the area. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
