Typical, small town convienence store/gas station. The physical facilities are a little run down, but the clerk was very kind and helpful. This station and the one across the street are the last services for over 70 miles if you are W bound, on Hwy 380, so don't get caught short of gas or food/drink supplies.

Been trading with this Valero for years. I know most who work there and they are great people. For a quick fill up and super clean restroom. Valero in Carrizozo at the Crossroads is great.

Been to both gas stations at the corner. This place has the nicest employees, nicest owner, and the bathrooms second to none. Highly recommend.

We asked to top up our RV water and the teller said we could now she watched us til we left even came out to watch us. Lady if we asked then we will respect the answer we got. So kinda was not a good store to ask. Felt she didn't trust us even when we respectfully asked she should have respected us with truth.

The pump never shut off so 8-10 gallons of gas spilled all over the place. We'd have caught it sooner, but my husband had gone in to use the restroom, and I was in the car with our kids. Thankfully another customer saw it and shut it off for us before letting me know. My husband explained to the staff what happened, and they told him it was his fault, that there is a sign on the pump that says that can happen (there isn't) and that he shouldn't have left the pump. I went inside myself a minute later to try to talk to them about it, as I considered the safety hazard of having the gas all over the place like that, and because we arrived with a half a tank of gas and bought a full tank worth. When I asked the cashier for the manager, she asked why so I explained the situation. She just said, "Yeah, the manager already knows about that." I asked if I could speak with the manager then and she said she had just left to go to the bank, that she would be back in a few minutes. I asked if there was anything she could do about the gas all over, or if there could be any recompense for the gas wasted. She didn't seem to care so I told her I would wait, and I stood aside so as not to keep them from their business. After about a half hour of waiting another staff member came out and said she had talked to the manager on the phone and she said there was nothing she could do but give me $2. At that point there was no one in the store and I was irritated that no one seemed to care about the gas all over, or the fact that they were keeping us waiting there for so long, so I became really upset and raised my voice at the lady and told her that I really wasn't interested in the $2. She told me, "Oh well. You'll just have to wait until she comes back then." After 45 mins of waiting, my husband came in to tell me that the gas smell was really strong in the car. We had left it there out of concerned for the safety of other customers who might pull up not realizing there were puddles of gas there. So I said to the cashier, "Excuse me, ma'am. I know you're very busy, but that gas is still there and my children have been in the car while we wait for someone to come clean it up. Can someone please go take care of it right away so we can get the car out of the way? We really just don't want anyone to get injured." She was annoyed and said she would have to find someone to cover her register. Then she took her sweet time and I heard her complaining to the other staff member (who was sitting there doing nothing) about having to do it. After I had been waiting a full hour the manager finally came in and came right toward me with a snarl on her face and said, "What EXACTLY is your problem?!" I had only been standing there patiently waiting, no introduction was offered or anything. I explained to her what happened and she told me she already knew that. She was yelling at me saying, "It's your own fault...it's probably your vehicle...it's common knowledge that you never leave a pump...why don't you just get out of here?! What do you expect me to do?!" I said, "Ma'am, honestly a simple, 'I'm so sorry that happened, there's nothing I can do to compensate you but I'll get someone right out there to clean it up so no one gets hurt' would have been more than satisfying for me, rather than telling my husband it was his fault, disappearing off of the property for an hour, then coming back and yelling at me about it and STILL not offering any assistance. All I'm really looking for is your decency. I came here with a half a tank of gas and paid for a full tank, and there is gasoline all over the pavement and you still have not offered any apology for your faulty machine, or even had someone clean up the mess." There was a lot more nasty dialogue from the lady that I won't bore you with. But I gave you the most entertaining parts of the story so you could be made aware in advance that if you stop at this place, you can't expect to be treated like a human being, let alone a paying customer. It's asking too much from the simple staff at this establishment.

I get gas,coffee and snacks here way to often.The folks are always nice.They can get busy,when they do the customers can make the restrooms and the drink counter kinda messy.

Good heavens! What a rip-off joint!I HAD to get fuel and only got what I needed to get to the next place for same. Diesel: $2.699 when it was $2.299 in Tularosa.Very dirty, very expensive and the whole place looks real shady.Also, I would not buy anything there to eat unless I just came out of a concentration camp. Disgusting. Shame on the owner for such an establishment

It's a gas station. The fuel has not ruined my car yet. Can't vouch for the convenience store as I've never been in desperate need of a roller hot dog when gasing up.

Very rude! Not ADA friendly or compliant. Hallway half blocked by plastic boxes. Unable to get too restroom in my powerchair. They refused to move the boxes. I am filing a complaint with the Development of Justice for discrimination of Disabled.

Love Valero Gas. Hotel across the road if you want to stay overnight to fill up again. Great staff, exceptional gas. Good prices. Best in New Mexico.

This place is alright. I usually stop here when driving to and from albuquerque. The allsups across the street has their bathrooms closed half the time I go there so I stop over here. The bathrooms here can get dirty though. Just make sure to nest the seat!

The first time we rolled through, they were down to one place to go in the men's room... we came through again two weeks later and it was still out of commission, AND every. single. soda fountain was out of order
