Beware- This place will spoil you!We booked all the cabins Thur thru Sunday last week, so had the entire place to ourselves. It was a breeze to work with both Amanda (Manager) and Dean (owner) from the get-go. Both were extremely patient and helpful throughout the booking process. This place was nothing short of a luxury resort in the woods and had everything we needed during our stay. Thanks for an amazing experience. We will be back!!!

The property was absolutely stunning! It felt like staying at a 5-star resort with all the campy novelty of a summer camp. It was such a surprise to find something so beautiful, modern and luxurious in the small mountain town of Angel Fire. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The cabin was appointed with every amenity and felt perfectly cozy and very upscale. The kids loved making hot chocolate as soon as we arrived. This was a very last-minute booking for us as the property we were staying at had a gas leak and required we leave immediately. We felt beyond fortunate to have been able to secure this property and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend it to friends. A++++!!Rooms: King bedroom with sleep-number bed and heated blankets. Bunk room has a sliding barn door so kids can go to bed early even if parents are in the living room and kitchen. Living room has a pull-out sofa. Bathroom is shared and modern with large shower and towel warmers. Fireplace turns on with the push of a button. Kitchen is well-appointed and modern with full-size refrigerator, range, oven and dishwasher.Nearby activities: Monte Verde lake is right around the corner, where you can rent stand-up paddle boards, canoes and paddle boats. Angel Fire resort (skiing and bike park) is about 8 minutes away. Angel Fire country club with golf course is about 6 minutes away. Grocery store is about 8 minutes away.

We really enjoyed our stay! We rented two cabins next to each other for a multi-generational vacation. Beautiful & serene location. The cabins are wonderful, sleep number beds and heated mattress pads and towel warmers make it feel so luxurious!Noteworthy details: There are many fun things you can borrow. Corn Hole, sleds, and there is a large fire pit for use.

My family had the opportunity to stay at The Retreat at Angel Fire! The Retreat far exceeded our expectations. The property is gorgeous and our cabin was easy to locate. The owner did an amazing job remodeling the cabins and spared no expense with the high end kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. I love the small luxuries such as the robes, chocolate, pillow spray, sleep number bed with temperature control. Amanda the GREAT, was the absolute best hostess! We loved all the communication via text message, s'more kits for the kids and advice of fun activities in Angel Fire. We planning on returning again soon to bake in the full kitchen. Thank you for providing such a great experience!

We needed a quite place to get away and rejuvenate. This place was perfect. Beautiful cabin in a beautiful area. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. We loved the living area with all the windows and the nice electric fireplace. Kitchen had everything we needed and when we asked for a blender and propane for the grill it was brought up promptly. We used the grill and set outside in the area which was great. We saw plenty of deer and our send off party was a bunch of wild turkeys. Extremely peaceful area. We love to hike and was able to find a nice path behind the cabin and other areas in Angel Fire. Red River had some nice hiking trails also and is only 45 minutes away.We met Dean one of the owners as he was staying next door working on renovating another cabin. Great guy. The only thing I could recommend is Dean needs a pickup truck for all the work he is doing making the cabins great. :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Our stay at The Retreat at Angel Fire in mid-October 2023 was nothing short of magical. Nestled amongst the captivating aspen and pine groves, the surroundings were truly enchanting, with visits from local wildlife adding to the charm.Stepping into our cabin, we were met with an atmosphere of impeccable refinement, boasting every modern amenity one could wish for.The estate's expansive fire pit became a focal point of our evenings, where we savored delicious s'mores and swapped travel stories with fellow guests. The staff's level of attentiveness was truly exceptional, ensuring our every comfort and offering invaluable recommendations for exploring this heavenly sanctuary.Without a doubt, a return visit is already in our plans for next year. This place is a gem worth revisiting.Rooms: Immaculate

We loved this little cabin in the woods. We had deer walk right past our windows in the evening. The porch was such a delight. We had planned to use the grill but it just didn't work out for us. I would love to stay there longer next time - and there will definitely be a next time for us! When we had an issue because we aren't too tech savy, even though it was evening, they got back to us immediately and got our problem solved. Great service. I absolutely loved the towel warmer in the bathroom. The beds are Sleep Number and were comfortable. The location is great. We were close enough to just run to the grocery store when we needed something.

Recently spent five beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing days at the Retreat at Angel Fire. Was well worth the drive to get out of the relentless heat in TX! Wish we could have stayed longer! Our cabin was meticulously clean, newly updated in good taste, and the kitchen (with all new appliances) had everything we could possibly need! Lots of extra amenities, also! The scenery was lovely, with mountain views from our front porch, and forested trails to walk through in the back. We were able to see deer and elk, close up!The reservation process was simple, and communication was quick when I had a question. Aly was helpful, and Dean, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure our experience was wonderful!

We really enjoyed our stay. The setting was very beautiful. The owners seem like they take great pride in the accommodations, and were very quick to answer any questions. Make sure to check out their propane fire pit, it was hand crafted by the owner and was done exceptionally well.Cabins were clean, beds were very comfortable couldn't ask for more.

The location is fantastic! We loved our cabin. It was clean and neat. We had several bucks still in velvet nearby. We locked ourselves out accidentally and had to contact the manager to learn how to get back in our cabin. She was a life saver! When you get in I strongly suggest you write the emergency # down! Thank you for the fantastic stay! Rita & JerryNearby activities: We spent Friday night so we could lay the Veterans Memorial Walkway brick at the Angel Fire Vietnam Veterans Memorial the Saturday before Labor Day. The valley Eagle Nest & Angel Fire are in is beautiful!

After a visit with family in the Midwest, it was a delight to usher in autumn at the Retreat at Angel Fire, especially loved the heated towels and mattress as the cool mountain air abounded & was a welcome change from a hot summer in the southeast! The nearby hiking trails offered some great exercise out in the beautiful natural setting & the roving deer on the property & hammocks situated beneath the pines added to a thoroughly soothing experience away from the hustle, bustle of big cities.

We were kind of blown away by the level of sophistication in these "cabins". Towel heaters, Sleep Number beds, cozy electric fireplace, and lots of little touches that made us feel like we were at a luxury retreat, but in the woods. The beautiful, quiet Aspen grove next door, especially in the mornings, was a treat to behold. Briefly chatted with the owner, who is rightly proud of the improvements that he and his wife have made to this hidden treasure. Staff was very hospitable and took care of every need. We will definitely book here the next time we visit Northern New Mexico.

First time and it won't be the last time. Great staff and always available to answer any questions. We forgot to bring our pickle ball equipment, but they had some to lend us. We also left a personal item, and they retrieved it and are mailing it back as we had already traveled 150 miles away after notice missing it. Not only the accommodations, but we needed this solitude get away. We'll be back when confronted with needing a getaway like this.Rooms: Great 2 bedroom and luscious and modern setting.Safety: No issues at the facilityWalkability: Easy getawayFood & drinks: nearby pubs and w/Taos and Red River shopping neabyNoteworthy details: Fall setting with mild temp and peaceful setting.

The cabin was fabulous. Comfortable bedding, well stocked and modern kitchen, fast (85 Mbs) WiFi, and gracious hosts (Nelisa and Dean). All this in a most beautiful setting. Certainly a win-win for any guest. We would have preferred two bathrooms for the four of us but the one we had worked just fine.

This was my first experience renting a cabin instead of renting a hotel room, and it was a very nice experience. Emails from the Retreat Manager, prior to my arrival, were extremely helpful, and while I spent three nights in one of their cabins I never met any of the management. The cabin was very nice…clean and neat. The comfortable July weather allowed me to open the windows every day and enjoy the mountain breezes and smells. All in all I would absolutely stay at the Retreat again.

My friend and I had a fantastic stay at The Retreat at Angel Fire. The accommodations were great - a cute, rustic cabin with a fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher, and shower supplies. The staff (especially Aly!) was SO nice and responsive during our entire trip. We got text messages asking if we needed anything, and our requests were promptly responded to! Great hiking right from the property, and we had some nice late-March snow. It was so beautiful, truly the cabin-in-the-woods experience we'd hoped for. I hope to visit again in the future!

The place is really nice and quiet for a family or couples get away. They have a concierge service in the complex that you can borrow sleds. They have a forest behind and pits in the area do you can enjoy just spending time in the cabin. The cabins are on the just right size, and appliances are a bit outdated, but to be honest it's very cozy. There are no many attractions in the complex, but there is a resort and a country club near by. Make sure to look on Google first before making reservations through AirBnB I found out later that it was cheaper.

The Retreat at Angel Fire is awesome! We stayed for 3 nights in a 1B/1B cabin and it was absolutely perfect. Sparkling clean, Wifi, satellite TV, upscale towels, kitchen accessories, and bedding...all perfect. The property manager Aly is very helpful and even brought the 4-wheeler at 9pm the night we arrived and hauled all our luggage to the cabin because our car wouldn't make it up the hill because of the snow! The cabin is stocked with coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. The setting is beautiful and the front porch with the rocking chairs became my favorite place in the mornings! We will definitely be back!
