Great vet! I moved to Angel Fire in the fall and added a puppy to the family this winter. I took my puppy for all his shots and was impressed with how great the techs are and the vet is extremely knowledgeable. They don’t upsell anything, they explained why one shot that was optional would be good for him but never pressured it. I decided he’d benefit from having the Lepto shot.The prices are one of the few things not inflated in a resort town, they’re cheaper than when I lived in Austin. Banjo and our family love the new vet.

I was vacationing in Angel Fire with my cat and he became blocked up. So happy Dr Gaffney could see us last minute and keep him for treatment 2 nights. Whole staff was so patient with us. Hope your pets stay well but if the don't seek out Angel Fire Small Animal Hospital.

While I’d like to keep Dr. Gaffney and her staff a secret because I don’t want them to become like other busy vets in the Taos area that don’t have time for their patients, but I also think they are the best, most friendly vet office in the area and want to share how great and responsive they are. Honestly, the best veterinary experience I have ever had…& I’ve been around, caring for animals for quite some time. I have an extra large (170#) dog that is extremely fearful of going to the vet. He is not only anxious when there, but can also show signs of aggression. I have never before witnessed such professionalism as I did with the protocol here at this office. The whole team knew just what to do and handled the entire visit flawlessly. I felt confident he was in the best care possible for the surgery he underwent. Dr Rachel not only took the time to answer all of my questions, but also gave me solid advice concerning some of the behavioral issues we’ve had lately. I was so happy to hear alternative options to medication! I really have been to a number of vets over the years, (more than I could count on both hands) and from start to finish, this place is by far my favorite. I live an hour away from this vet and have many other options closer to home and truthfully, I would even drive 2 hours if I had to!

Took my baby Cooper, while we were up here on vacation. She treated him well, was kind, and gave him an iv and antibiotic. We bought some special kidney food too. By that night he was better and the next day-today- he’s back to normal! Thanks so much yall!!

This is a very good place to bring your pets. Great Doctor and Staff! My dogs and cats have been there for exams, shots, spay with declaw for my newest cat, and my greyhound for teeth cleaning. They will be there too, for your pet's final needs.

Incredibly helpful staff and veterinarian. We were visiting Red River and forgot our German Shepherd's antiinflammatory medication at home. The long walks were really affecting his hips and he was obviously hurting. We initially contacted their office and requested an appointment. They suggested we contact our veterinarian in Oklahoma. Our veterinarian called their office and we picked up enough medicine to finish our vacation. The difference in our dog was immediate. Their office only charged us for the prescription refill which saved us some money and time. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again to care for our dogs.

Angel Fire Small Animal Hospital is the only place I'll bring my two spoiled fur-babies. The drive from Taos is worth it when I know I can get them in short notice, will get top notch care, and not get charged an insane amount. Dr. Susan is an absolute gem, and so are her staff. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

Absolutely incredible facility- Lindsay specifically worked with our dog who had some very aggressive tendencies with new people. Our dog felt so safe and loved her. I’ve never seen him more comfortable with someone new. They were all so accommodating and kind and patient. We will be patients for life

My first experience with Dr. Susan Gaffney and her staff were no disappointment. I know with Covid protocol and restrictions curbside service is an option. I went in hours before my appointment just to weigh one of my babies. Dr. Gaffney had the time to go ahead and examine my Ruby who had been sick for a couple of days.I was blown away at the care and professionalism. Best vetenary experience ever.They live up to their slogan; "We treat you and your pets like family ". Thanks to all the staff!

They are a great place to take your four legged family members to, and the prices are a lot more reasonable than a few in Taos. They are wonderful.
