I have been a customer of Earnest Sohail for some time. He has always been very knowledgeable regarding all types of rugs and his prices are very fair and affordable. I recently purchased a large red, black and white crystal star burst rug from him that is an exceptional find. I also purchased a rug backing which enhances the beauty and feel of the rug. At the same time, he repaired and restored a pre-1920 Navajo rug which I have owned for 40 years. This rug had worn bare spots, holes and the entire border was in disrepair. The rug was a mess. Earnest skillfully rewove all of the worn spots and holes and restored the border to like new condition. His work is beautiful and expertly done. This rug is now museum quality.

Beautiful, unique rugs for fair prices at the railyard market on Sundays. Earnest was so helpful, pulling out rug after rug for me and my friends to find the perfect one. He caught on to our styles quickly, and never tried to upsell us. Each of us walked away with a gorgeous rug, soon to arrive back in NYC (free shipping!). He showed us some examples of his repair work, which was exquisite. Highly recommend.

Earnest and his daughter helped us to select a beautiful antique rug for our den, after we looked through many style options. He was extremely knowledgeable about the provenance of all the rugs he had on display from various countries, and took time to answer all our questions and to explain the meanings of the different colors and markings used by the modern and the older weavers. I had done my homework before we went to the rug gallery, so I knew what prices to expect. Earnest offered a very fair price for the rug we purchased, lower than I had seen in my homework. The rug was promptly shipped by the gallery to our home without any problems and arrived in good condition with a special rug pad that Earnest precut to fit our rug exactly. I am very satisfied with my experience and intend to shop here again for future rug needs. The variety of colors and styles is really amazing. I give this establishment the highest rating.

Ernest is a true artist! I purchased my beautiful rug from Ernest, and before could even use it my dog chewed a hole in it. Needless to say I was sick. I was not expecting to make such an important purchase while in Santa Fe on vacation but I came across Earnest. He has a beautiful selection of rugs and he patiently took the time to show me the ones I was interested in. He has extensive knowledge about the rugs, where they were woven, the design type, the materials, etc. He has new and vintage rugs. The cost of the rugs was below what you will pay in a store front and he offers free shipping! Earnest shipped when he said he would and the rugs arrived in perfect condition. Highly recommend!

I was at the Mercado in Santa Fe today and had no plans at all to buy a rug until I started to really look at this collection. Earnests daughter was at the booth and showed me a rug which caught my eye. She is an absolute sweetheart. Gave me a decent deal on a lovely, quite unusual, Sumak weave, Persian rug.
