This is a wonderful place to adopt a pet. I support the mission of Watermelon Mountain Ranch (WMR) and am so thankful for their dedication and caring to animals in need. If you can't afford or don't have the capability to adopt a pet, please consider volunteering for WMR. They are always in need of people to spend time with the animals, taking them for walks, driving them to adoption events, fostering, and so much more.

This is a great alternative to the big box pet stores. Especially if you enjoy shopping in a pet boutique style store. Lots of handmade and unique items for your fur baby. I'm a volunteer who walks the dogs. Sometimes we walk to the cottonwood dog park. Sometimes we do laps in the mall. Alot of people arent aware that they are in the north end of the mall on the top floor. Stop in and browse the unique items and be sure to check out the adoptable dogs.

Hello there.. I recently went to adopt an animal from this location and was instantly turned off by some man yelling at dogs when I entered the store. he also smelled liked cow manure or some sort of dead skunk rolled in caca 🤢. He gave me a unfriendly welcome that Made me quickly leave but the smell was unfriendly enough to turn anyway one away.. won't be adopting anytime soon here

All adoptions are through Watermelon Mountain Ranch and they have both cats and small dogs available here. As for the store, there are about as many new items as there are "slightly used" in good to excellent condition. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a lot to look at for both dogs and cats, but also for smaller animals (hamsters) sometimes. Beautiful art work, nice dish sets, and just about anything you can think of. They also accept donations of those "slightly used" items that come in frequently. AND EVERTHING GOES TO THE CATS AND DOGS!!! Highly recommend to just go and browse around next time you go to Cottonwood Mall.

They rarely have animals to see anymore and adoptions are by appointment only which does not seem likely to go away anytime in the near future. Hardly see any employees managing the front and if you do the employees usually have a very poor attitude and are not helpful at all. The items for sale are donated goods that are over priced and not worth the money. Overall with the price of goods, poor employee and management attitudes and lack of animals the store is not very inviting to any passersby

I was just at the going to the dogs store in the cottonwood mall and bought a wooden duck , too beautiful to describe. the kind sir at the cashier gave me a dollar to pay for him, and I am ever grateful . thank you, I love my duck.
