This place was absolutely fantastic! I have lots of dietary restrictions so it’s been years since I’ve been able to have a donut! Their gluten free donuts happened to be safe for me and let me tell you, they were freaking amazing. Luca helped us by looking at the ingredients in the gluten free flour blend and glazed our donuts to perfection. We will absolutely be coming back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free flour blend is made with rice and potato flour :)

Cute place!Music that is not overpowering, wifi that is consistent, donuts that are mouth watering and lattes that are robust… this was a great little nook.Studying/work: Went here to study and the only thing lacking from getting 5 stars is the lack of plugs to charge.Bakery: since it was my first time here, I might not have known about the most popular donut… seems many people came in for a certain one and they were sold out. Get there early if you want first pick- but I was not disappointed with the cinnamon donut… so there are other great options🤷🏻‍♀️😊I will be back and you should too!

I echo most of Nomadic RN, with the exception of the first couple of lines. Most of us know that donuts have little nutritional value.I ordered a maple and a salted butter. The maple tasted like lemon, not maple at all and the salted butter had no distinguishing taste. The price is ridiculous considering the lack of quality, skill and creativity. I like to support local, but when I can a better, fresher donut from Smith's for $.99, I won't be back to Bristol's.

I've been meaning to stop by here and have Donuts for a long time. I'm a bit of a donut guy, and I love trying out new places! My wife and I went to try them out at about 10:00 on a saturday. They were by no means sold out, but if you want to get your pic of donuts, you better get there earlier. There were a couple of their signature Donuts that were already gone.My wife and I each had a latte, which was also delicious, and we shared four donuts.Wow! The donuts were delightful! Take a look at the photos! We had a spicy chocolate donut that was really very good, but not my thing. I'm glad I tried it, but I probably get something else in the future. However, I could see most people really enjoying this delicate blend of chocolate frosting with just a little bit of spice added over a cake donut. If you haven't had one, you got to try one. Then decide if it's for you.We also had a coffee donut. Obviously we were having coffee with donuts, which is one of my favorite things. But I've never had a coffee frosted donut before and; I loved it!We also had one chocolate covered raised donut and one strawberry filled donut. Both of these were delightful and I would order them over and over again. The chocolate frosted donut was pretty much what you expect, but the flavors were fantastic. Strawberry filled donut was sort of like a strawberry cream filled puffed pastry. It was really really good!Would I do this again? Oh heck yeah! I can't wait to do it again! If you're driving down Comanche between Juan Tabo and eubank, just look for the red double decker bus and pull in to have a Bristol donut. I was happy I did, and I think you will be too.

Donuts are simply acceptable breakfast cupcakes. Seriously, you have toppings, frosting, cake, and sometimes a filling. There is Zero nutritional value, so we eat these to enjoy the flavor. But, speaking of flavor, where is it? I can just see a judge on one of those bake shows, asking g what the inspiration was, commenting on how horrible the appearance is (inconsistently frosted), the dry texture of the cake (like a day old donut) and... what flavor was this again? Absolutely no taste.I'm visiting the area and don't recall where the suggestion to try this place came from, but it was definitely a waste of $10 for 2 donuts. That's right, $9.17, for TWO donuts. As much as a full plate of food!Because this is a pastry, I couldn't even bring myself to waste the calories to eat them and get my money's worth... and I don't even care that much about calories.I genuinely do not understand how they are still in business. It is such a large place for a few selections of donuts. Seems like they would be better off pushing a cart through town. At least they would get the attention of tourists they must be targeting because I don't see any return business. There must be some behind the scenes things we are not aware of (besides supplying unfortunate restaurants).Negative attention, I guess, is still attention. Maybe you will get some business from people who want to prove others wrong, but I would highly discourage wasting any money for day old, flavorless food that offers no nutritional benefits.

The donuts were really good! We got cinnamon sugar, maple and a salted butter. They were really good. The outside was crispy, and the inside was soft. My partner got a coffee and said it was good. The staff was very friendly. The woman who was our cashier was sweet, knowable and helpful. The donuts and coffee were a little expensive. We got 6 donuts and a small coffee and it was $20 before tip. When we went the selection was very minimal but we also went around 12:30 so it was to be expected and our fault. All in all I really enjoyed this cute spot.

Locally owned and operated business with craft donuts and decent espresso. (Anyone who follows James Hoffmann show love for coffee). Many interesting flavor combinations with the donuts but tried the standard cake maple glazed. Excellent. Not heavy, nor overly sweet. The glaze had real maple. Definitely worth a stop.Staff friendly and courteous, facility clean.

Good place to hang out, have good coffee and good quality donuts 🍩. They also have good tea, coffee and espresso. They do have delicious gluten-free donuts in here. Staff is very friendly and informative. The bus is their signature trademark. I would bring my family and friends here.

After hearing such great reviews about this place I was certainly disappointed by my experience. I stopped in to get donuts for my family and was thrilled when I saw they had gluten free. I ordered the vanilla donut with prickly pear icing. You can only imagine my disappointment when I received my donut and it was not even fully iced. A few strips of icing to me is not what a donut is meant to be. The taste of the gluten free donut itself did not make up for the lack of icing. I’m sure the regular donuts are quite yummy, just not the place to go for a gluten free donut.

The big double decker bus in the parking lot caught my attention. So cool. The donut 🍩 shop is quaint, warm and welcoming. Dining in is allowed. The staff are friendly. The donuts are hand made and the TLC in that process adds just the right seasoning. The dough is soft and melts in your mouth. The coffee was spot on. The flavor profile is smooth and rich. The price is in line with a quality product without being pretentious and over priced. Plus, is you buy two donuts and a drink you get 10% off your order. That's a deal since I was going to buy just that regardless. When I am on that end of Comanche I will make it a point to stop and get some donuts.

Update with new location! Now located at Comanche and Morris. In a double decker bus!First I have to say that the double decker food truck/ bus is a fantastic idea! It’s creative and unique, and all around super cute. They have refinished the inside so that the bottom is where they sell the doughnuts from (and coffee) and upstairs has seating for you to enjoy your tasty treats. The doughnuts are still the same, and delicious. The premium ingredients shine and make them exceptional. The bus is heated and cooled, and decorated! They are hands down the best doughnuts in town. They only take credit cards, and they are not cheap- $3-4 each. But worth it. Oh, and the original Spur Line location sitill carries a small stock of the doughnuts each day. So does Little Bear Coffee.Original review:Bristol Doughnuts. First visit here. Very different atmosphere. They are located inside another business, which is a very eclectic collection of things. There is even an airstream trailer inside the building. So from the outside it’s not well marked, there are a couple tiny folding signs. Once you find the building and go inside you have to walk through the other business and they hidden in the back corner. The owner is super sweet, and she told us all about how they make their doughnuts. There isn’t a huge variety of them, but they are very gourmet. We picked the salted butter cake, bomboloni, cinnamon roll, and prickly pear. There is seating inside and out, we went outside since there was no one there. The salted butter cake, their best seller for good reason, was excellent. All the flavors came through and the cake was light, moist, and rich. and the salted butter is TO DIE FOR good, The cinnamon roll was delicious, and with the salted butter instead of cream cheese is very unique. The prickly pear was tasty, very mild, it definitely could stand to be stronger. The tiramisu bomboloni was also mild and not overpowering.

UPDATE March 12, 2020: The operation has moved into the building next to the double-decker bus (which is the easiest landmark for finding the parking lot)! They stay open until 4pm and make fresh new donuts on-demand when items get low in the case. We devoured a "thin-mint" (dark chocolate with light glaze and minty flecks--cake type with fine crumb) and "Bombolini" (wowowow: delicate sugared crust surrounding a pillowy soft interior bursting with just-sweet-enough coffee-flavored cream filling--yeasted type). Sensational texture and flavor. Heavenly! Definitely the *best* handcrafted donut I have ever consumed. They had some vegan donuts, too.Bristol is Nutfree!!!!--ORIGINAL REVIEW: My friend and I enjoyed today's last two donuts: classic cinnamon sugar. Scrumptious. They were the cake sort with a dense, even crumb, and coated uniformly on both sides. We each paired them with a cup of regular brewed coffee (no decaf) then sat on the top floor of the double-decker bus to consume and chat. We liked it. Regrettably, donuts were sold out by 10AM: the special pumpkin flavored donuts were long gone. After we finished, the bus closed for the day and turned away disappointed customers. The friendly young lady behind the counter told me today was unusual, because of Halloween (donuts go to office parties).NOTE: This was a credit card-only venue (no cash on-hand). When it's your turn to bring the pastries to the party, dial-in your order, pre-pay, and select the desired varieties so no one becomes disappointed.

Adore this place. Cold Brew is always perfect and my favorite from anywhere else in the city. Hubby thought it’s a doughnut place you get a dozen in a box, no. These doughnuts are a meal themselves. The cream bomb doughnut pictured is big enough for two. Prickly pear doughnut is my second favorite. Every time I go in I cannot pick new things to try. Make sure you look at a smaller menu by the register for their truly specialized drinks. 10/10

I review places that make an impression on me. BDC is baked with love and I have just enjoyed the family time so much I forget to take pictures and review them. That should tell folks alone how dope this place is.This is an awesome family business. Owners who care about the ingredients and the products they produce are fresh daily. We started with BDC when they’re in the double decker bus on Nobhil. This is our Sunday hotspot with our children. A perfect cheat day spot. When you cheat might as well do it with quality fresh baked stuff.I always get something different every time. Never disappointed! My new favorite is the chocolate Gluten free with nothing on it. It’s like a warm fresh baked brownie. It’s like a corner piece also. So freaking good and almost guilt free. I’m a Keto head and this is my cheat.

Let me start off by stating this: I have never left a review for doughnuts. . . Until NOW. A total diamond in the rough! I left there spending more than expected, but I wanted to treat my son's academy staff, which a dozen of these delicacies did the trick. I couldn't resist getting me a Cinnamon Roll and him a chocolate sprinkle doughnut. I left his academy 5 minutes ago and had to post this before starting my day at work. I have had ONE bite of my fresh Cinnamon Roll (pictured)..... WOW! I thought Great Harvest was the best in town... NOT A CHANCE!!! They have the cinnabon frosting taste, and the flaky yeast texture that grandma used to make for special occasions... they are -by far- the best I have ever tasted. Grandma would be envious of these, rest her soul! Thank you, Bristol!! These are my new bi-weekly cheat pastry on my Keto diet!

I have gone so many times and I am always impressed by the quality (and size) of their donuts. The regular flavors are good, and they always have several exciting new flavors per month. The pictures below show some of the summer flavors - watermelon, chantilly, and honey/lemon/lavender. Hope I got the names right. Anyway, I'd highly recommend them!

Came in and ordered 4 donuts and 2 drip coffee’s. The clerk said I’ll bring the coffee’s out to you. After waiting a while I asked about the coffee’s and he pointed to two cups that were sitting on the counter. No one called out our name and we had no idea they were ours! The drip coffee was extremely bitter and lukewarm! The donuts, which had been our favorite in Albuquerque, were mediocre and cold. Such a bitter disappointment! We left the coffee and threw away the donuts. Such a waste of money!

The doughnuts were delightful and we enjoyed going up in the top of the bus. A totally worthwhile stop! The had a great menu of the standards and some more interesting takes, like prickly pear.

Update 3 (Feb 2022): Still the best donut shop in NM. Doesn't matter what time I come in, the product is consistent. Support the little guys who still care, most restaurants and shops standards are gone. Bristol's integrity is still holding up and it shows in the crunchy/fluffy bite of their decadent donuts. I will keep coming back.Update 2 (Sept 2021): Every time I return here the product is consistently good, still the best donut in New Mexico.Pricey ($3-4 per donut) but worth every cent. The dough has a wonderful fullness to it, soft on the inside and a perfect crispy crunch.Highly recommend the prickly pear donut, their flagship product in my opinion.
