This Pet Sense location has recently added fish and they are being kept in horrible conditions. The tanks are completely bare. There is no substrate, no plants, nothing. It’s ridiculously bad husbandry. Either keep fish correct or don’t keep them at all.

Our Rescue is afraid of men and can be aggressive towards them, so when I took him in for a grooming appointment I specifically asked for a female groomer to make sure Dodger would be comfortable. They did that and said he was a good boy & was very patient when he tried to bite the dryer lol. Love their grooming services.

The staff is friendly and given that the store is quite small, they do a decent job of stocking a bit of everything, some of those things are pricey.

The store struggles to keep basic (much less actually HEALTHY) bugs in stock; if you have an insectivore you would be better off ordering your food online. Also have seen the store first hand substitute small crickets for big ones xcompletley unethical

I have to say the staff I've interacted with have always been very nice and very helpful. I like they give military a 10% discount and their rewards program gives a free bag of food after 9 purchases of the same size bag.

The grooming staff where incredible. They did such a great job grooming my doggie. Very kind and professional. The entire team made me feel welcomed into the store. We will be back with our doggies. Thank you folks..

The staff here is always very friendly and eager to help. They always greet my dogs with loads of affection. They are knowledgeable that they're animals and products. I wish there were more products available and probably less food. The food prices are very high, and I can get it cheaper in many places even with the reward program. They Sadly are often out of crickets, and about 75% of the time, I don't find what I'm looking for. I love the staff and I love how clean the store is. I will keep going back.

The store is a lot cleaner and looks very nice and neat but if you are too busy talking to your coworker to even greet us then don’t make an opinion about an item I am buying. Especially when I was once again not greeted and i felt like I was bothering the workers and interrupting their conversation. I truly only come here when I absolutely have no choice, Not a fan.

Staff is always helpful & friendly. But dang prices seem to go up every time I go in. So I drive down the street to Tractor Supply & bought the same food for $15 cheaper. Will be doing that from now on.

I stop by this location at least twice a week for my dogs food. The associates down there are always friendly and greet you with a welcome when you come in. My dogs are picky about there dog food and no where in town but petsense carries it. Even when they are out of food the manager will always take the time to let me know when they get new shipments in. I recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Considering it’s the only exclusive pet supply store in town, it’s fine, but I don’t recommend it. There’s a few super friendly and helpful employees but sometimes it’s a really negative experience. They don’t really carry some of the higher tier pet foods that I know a lot of people want. Don’t get me wrong, they carry a good amount of food for the size of the store. But they’re lacking in some better brands. Lori is my favorite person for sure, she’s always happy and seems to be enjoying her days for the most part. I really like that they support kitty city too and help them adopt out cats. Their toy selection and treat selection is amazing though!!

Other than the employees talking bad about another customer in front of you and you knowing the customer. They were ok with customer service, not the nicest, but where do you find perfect customer service in Alamogordo.

I love the products here, but I decided to take my two dogs for hair cuts for the first time. Our appointment was cancelled, without letting me know, and I didn't find out until i brought my dogs. And the person that was supposed to call and reschedule, never did.

First time here. We were visiting Alamogordo and needed some homeopathic calming medicine for our Maltese. Stopped in here and the staff was super helpful. Pointed out the various options and were very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

They usually have everything I need in stock but sometimes they don’t have the dog food I buy. I took both my dogs here for training classes and I just found it odd they do the training inside the store where the dogs can get distracted by other dogs or by customers browsing for items. I would’ve at least thought there would be another room or location we could’ve gone to for classes. The staff is friendly and helpful though.

Poor selection of products. Irregular access to feeder items. Staff is often pretty darn good. The heavy focus on dogs and cats is ridiculous. Lucky they are the only "pet" store in town....or they'd have closed by now.

Don’t bring your dogs here for grooming. They come out looking like they were groomed with kitchen shears. Then they look at you like you are crazy when you want a refund.

Worst experience we have ever had adopting an animal. They knew nothing about her, gave us the wrong age and info. it was so hectic & they severely were understaffed - the woman working there kept her cool SO well concerning the gross amount of people in the store. 7/10 were not wearing masks including one of the workers. We won’t be going back.

Took my dog there on 8/28/2023 requested they clean her dirty ears there is still dirt in her ears also her head wasn’t washed and what the groomer said would be an hour was only 15 minutes how can you bathe and brush a dog in 15 minutes
