I found what I needed fairly easy, but had a weird experience with customer service. Never once did I get asked if I needed help, but I got a dirty look from an employee when I added my 2 empty cigarette boxes to the cage of broke down boxes. I looked for a trashcan outside and as I was coming in but I guess people just throw their receipts on the ground because there were no trash cans to be found. Thought it was quite odd that I got a dirty look, it's not an inconvenience for that employee to get rid of the boxes, and at least I had the courtesy to put then somewhere sensible rather than trash the land or the store.

They have great sales, just watch out for register mistakes. Good prices on most things but it comes with mediocre quality on clothes, shoes and non name brand items. Food prices are a little above those at the walmart super market on most things but you do find an occasional deal.

In the midst of this Covid19 Pandemic, with a new year only one hour & 20 minutes away, it's nice to know that when I am in a hurry to get in and out of a store - that Dollar General will in all likelihood have the product, in stock & on the shelf.The store is generally well stocked and has a knowledgeable sales staff that always answers my questions.Although it may be a little tricky getting in-and-out, off of the highway, there is always ample parking.I have never had to wait in line long at a cash register, either;seldom are there more than 2 or 3 people standing in line in front of me as I await check out.Furthermore, I certainly enjoy walking into a store and being acknowledged in greeting by cashier's who actually seem to imply that they are glad to have you in their store.I like the fact that the store is always clean when I have visited. An added attraction at night, is that the stores front parking area appears to be well lighted; and open to highway viewing in such a way as to deter preditors.I will c-e-r-t-a-i-n-l-y be back.psOn a side note, I accidentally backed my pickup truck into the managers dark sedan one night (I k-n-o-w, G.O.A.L...Get Out And Look)... but, I never saw it. I went back inside and gave the individual my driver's licence information, my phone number, and my insurance information. The well dressed male proceeded to inform me that he thought that he might be able to get the dent out himself, self, and if so - he would not be sending off any of the insurance information.I left the store thinking "Sure, he's either going to fix it himself or not bother getting the small dent fixed//but, in all probability will get an estimate... make a claim... & keep the monie$. The next day when I walked into the store, the male, dressed nicely (even wearing a tie) proceeded to show me the bumper that he had been able to pull back out - using a heat gun and a plunger.Afterwards, he promptly handed me back my insurance information, and informed me that he would not be needing it!How HONEST is THAT???You bet they have made me a customer for life! :)~ Alamogordo resident× 36 y-e-a-r-s 😎✨

It is so dusty in here, it's a disorganized mess I hate to say it. You pay for the atmosphere you receive, so if you want cheap stuff it's not so bad, I still avoid this place like the plague if I'm trying to save money. Better off going to Walmart.

They dont carry all the food items other Dollar Generals do and the refrigerated items are not always well stocked. Cashiers are friendly, but Ive heard them more than once, verbally ask out loud to a customer if shes paying with an EBT card. One time they asked me when my debit card was giving me problems. It seems to be an issue with the cashiers. I just found it demeaning.

I can honestly say Dollar General is good for once it was nice not to have a certain manager there that tended to talk behind peoples back’s to customers or say rude things to please and for the customers the stores looking great guys keep Up the good work

Customer service should service customers in line not make all of them use selfservice. How about great customers and dont smell like a pack of cigarettes from your smoke break

The store was cluttered and messy. It wasn't that the employee on duty wasn't working. It was severely understaffed. The products outside could be hauled off by anyone that wants them. They were also getting soaked from rain.

Dollar General on Indian Wells is really nice with brand new refrigerators for meats'....milk, eggs and drinks....also added a self checkout.

New manager is so great and kind . Before the staff was so lazy and rude. Now the staff actually have a register open. Instead of just self check out. Way to go New Manager.

Had just about everything that I needed so that I didn't have to go in Wal-Mart...I'm a happy customer. Just very quick and convenient the majority of the time!

One of the preferred Dollarn Generals to visit here in Alamogordo. Less waiting in line while 1 cashier checks someone out. The inventory is equally as messed up as the others but still like to stop and browse around once in awhile
