I really appreciate how businesses in northern New Mexico just DO NOT BOTHER to update their hours on google. I’ve come here twice hoping to try their ice cream, both times that google reported they were open, and neither time were they actually open. How are people supposed to know if you are open or closed if you don’t publish the correct information? Stopping here is apparently a waste of time. I won’t bother again.

The chocolate shake I had was amazing! Better than the down town Santa Fe ice cream places by a lot! My family also had some of their ice-cream flavors just on their own and said they were very good. Also the owner is super friendly. We had a lovely conversation while we waited.

What a fun place to go. The ice cream is great! I had an ice cream sundae with chocolate syrup, pineapple and whip cream. YUM!!

This is a great little place with a large variety of ice cream, milkshakes, and some pretty awesome pizza. He'll mix the shakes however you want. If you're driving through, be sure to give yourself a break from the road at this sweet little spot. The owner is also very nice with good conversation. He even had a bag of treats for our dog (props for looking out for our pooch!). Highly recommended!

The Frosty Cow is located on the parking lot for Bode's Store in Abiqui. While many prefer the wholesome refreshment of ice cream, I admit to a weakness for ice cold quarts of Mexican beer wrapped in a brown paper bag. So, go ahead, get frosty and order a milkshake or a ice cream cone. I will be chugging some Corona while you are ducking solid chunks of ice cream through a too small straw. Get some!
