Got my bunny from here, very friendly and healthy! Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about pet care, even the customers were friendly and willing to share their knowledge about animals and their care. They have stuff for a variety of animals ranging from horses to pet mice. Their prices are good too. And from the moment you walk in you know they care about their animals. I love coming here!

Offered to take 5 dying guinea chicks from the trough where they were being trampled to death. One was already deceased and I offered to take it too since it was collecting flies. The person working said they would take care of it, even though it had been dead for a while.I was initially rung up 5.99 a bird, to which I clarified these birds were dying and I wanted to offer them some peace from being killed by the others. I ended up paying 21$ for them, because at the end of the day this company only cares about profit, and not at all about the sick and dying animals they neglect to care for.About 3 hours since purchasing, 3 have passed which I knew was inevitable given their condition.Last year I purchased a bunny with wry neck from a crowded enclosure so I could get it vet care. Thankfully he was adopted and after a round of antibiotics he now lives a happy and healthy life. If I left him there without treatment of the parasite, he would have died along with the other rabbits he came in contact with.I have also helped the mice there, who often cannot reach the water bottles that are hung. After pushing a dish so that they could stand on it, they drank from it like they hadn’t had access to water in a long time.Do better Farmside.

Good selection. Great service. Friendly staff. I have 4 birds, and their bulk bird seed saves me money, and the birds love it. And it's fun to visit the chicks, bunnies, and sometimes ferrets!

I bought a 96 ounce bag of Kaytee timothy hay here that i normally pay $20-$22 dollars for. it cost $29 here before tax! There’s also guinea pigs in the same enclosure as bunnies which is just asking for trouble, a simple google search will pull up dozens of websites all saying that’s not good. i wanted to support a small business for a change…. i will not be coming back

My favorite store in Sussex County, and especially during the pandemic, a safe, clean, efficient way to shop!. Just order and pickup at the curb. Owner John, manager Wendy, daughters Carissa, Annika and the entire staff are so friendly and helpful! A great variety of pet and livestock supplies at good prices, and if they don’t have something in stock, they can usually order it for you. In the past, we’ve purchased healthy & friendly chicks, rabbits, mice, hamsters and turkeys from Farmside, and never a problem. Keep up the good work, guys!

I always come here to get my pet supplies. They have similar prices to those big named pet stores. I bought my rabbit from them and buy all his care needs from them. Never had one issue with the rabbit except a little stress from bringing him home. Hes playful and friendly and hes 2 years old. The staff is friendly and helpful, I enjoy coming here.

We have been buying from Farmside for 3 years. We buy about 10 bags of feed every 2 months. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help you load your truck. Recently we came across a few bags of bad feed that had some water damage, upon calling Farmside they gave us a credit immediately and apologized even though it was most likely damaged during transport to them and not their fault. We will always buy from Farmside and love it there.Thank you for everything.From Rodrigues Family our Chickens, Turkeys, Ducks, Dog and Cats.

This place is nice because it's close to me and it has a decent variety of pet food and supplies. However, the only thing I truly dislike is how they have a section of mice and rats that are all in glass tanks. Rats especially do not do well in glass enclosures because it can cause breathing issues amongst other health problems. Yes, I understand many places sell rodents as food for reptiles. But the rats would also be excellent pets if given the correct caging and care😔

Very friendly service. There is always someone there to help you find something or help you carry heavy items out if you need the help. Also the only store nearby that I can find the food my 6 month old Great pryness puppy eats. Fromm! And they have an excellent by 12 bags get 1 bag FREE! Sure helps when you will be buying the bags regardless! Also they carry horse supplies so I can get both in one store! LOVE IT!!

Great place for just about anything One would need for animals of all sizes from horses to Bearded Dragons!Friendly staff and reasonable prices just add to the appeal.Easy access and parking as well.All in all Farmside Supplies is a Superb place to have in Sussex!

go here only recently bc i just moved… thought they were decent until i noticed their bunnies. 2 bunnies in a cage, one completely tormenting the other.The little bunny was crawling at the cage to get out as it was getting it’s hair pulled out. i informed a worker because there’s an empty cage the bunny can easily be separated into who just said “they are working on it” and followed it with rude attitude. i’ve had bunnies for 10 years i was only trying to help in saying that the 2 baby bunnies would never get along without being properly neutered. overall the store just likes to make a quick buck. they care or don’t know to care ab their animals and is a huge shame to all the critters in their care.

Been a customer for 20+ years..I will never go back I will drive an hour before spending another dime there, the incompetent rude and totally useless person at the counter has cost you a customer, I have agriculture tax Certificate on file and the same rude person who rings me up EVERYTIME never bothers to ask if you have a number when you try and correct it you get a shoulder shrugg instead of the customer service and refund of the overcharge 6 times now how long if ever before you get it right, biggest mistake you made was hiring that idiot to replace WENDY, I'll definitely go elsewhere..oh and I NEVER get receipt for my CASH payments...hummm

Farmside it's owner and the manager Wendy are the most useless, unprofessional, incompetent people my husband and I ever met. The only reason I am forced to purchase anything from them is for my horse feed...and I am changing my feed so I don't have to deal with them at all. 2 weeks waiting for them to have a simple bag of my catfood is uncalled for. They are rude and unhelpful. You can stand at that counter for 10 minutes and noone will look up at you. They will ignore you to answer the phone, eat or talk to each other. How they stay in business is beyond me. The $15.00 dollar an hour rate hike will certainly put them out. I take my business anywhere else I can to avoid spending my hard earned money at Farmside.

Sold me a hamster with heart disease that was so debilitating he had to be euthanized. None of their animals live in proper enclosures, and their rats live in glass tanks (which will result in URIs). I really wanted to like this place, but they take garbage care of their animals. They only use them for $$$
