Food and Bay side view was spectacular! The menu is somewhat limited, and the seafood dishes were a little expensive. That being said, we did enjoy what we ordered (Salmon for the wife and Steamers and Linguini for me).Parking: We found Street Parking within a couple of blocks from the restaurantKid-friendliness: High Chair and Hot Dog was good for our Grandson

We love Twisties! We are here almost once a week! The staff is always friendly and the pain killers are our favorite! Unfortunately, this last visit wasn't the best. We stopped in early Monday afternoon after an early beach day and grabbed 2 pain killers and ordered nachos with beef. It wasn't crowded or anything and we felt like the nachos were taking awhile. When they finally did come out, everything about them was cold. By the time our waitress came back, we explained how they were cold and asked for to-go boxes. Figured we'd take them home and bring them back to life. The waitress later came back with the check, apologized again and mentioned that the manager offered to buy us a drink. We declined because we needed to get home and again only mentioned the cold food so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Needless to say, the cold stack of nachos could not be saved at home- they were soggy, we were out almost $30, and still hungry. Again not a great visit- hoping the next one will be better.

Food was good even if the wait was a little long (20-30 mins on a weekday) to be seated because there was 10 of us. Once seated the waitress was right there and the food came out pretty quickly. It was very good and we all left satisfied.Parking: You hafta find parking in the surrounding residential neighborhood but we still managed to find a spot withing a 5 minute walk.

A quick search of "food near me" we found ourselves here. Good views and nice environment that kids will enjoy too. We ordered kids meals and a plate of nachos. It came out super quick and the nachos were STACKED and plenty for 2 adults and 2 kids to pick at. Drinks were tasty too! The server and staff seemed super laid back and friendly. Overall, a nice place to take a chance on, and it did not disappoint!

Looking for a place to eat last minute, with a party of 8, on Labor Day at the shore…what were we thinking? A quick search turned up Twisties with some excellent reviews. Needless to say, it did NOT disappoint!I am never afraid to try a “dive bar.” Relaxing at a picnic table in the courtyard was perfect. While it seemed crowded, we were completely comfortable. The hostess was excellent, keeping tabs on us, waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. We were seated promptly. The waitress took fantastic care of us. Food delivered quickly, and very good. It’s not world-class cuisine, but for bar food, very good. I wish the could have seated us with a bay view but that is not their problem. Now we can add them to our list of go-to joint when we are down in Ocean City. Call me a regular!!

The prices of this place are outrageous! $17 for a burger? With cheese costing an additional $2.25? I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and it was the worst pizza I’ve had in my entire life. The chicken was white and unseasoned, and I expected it to be tossed in buffalo sauce. Clearly no effort was put into that expensive pizza. Probably won’t ever come back.

TL;DR…Dive bar at not dive bar prices.Fine place, loved the atmosphere, food was alright. Drinks were lack luster, tried 3 different drinks. I would recommend the orange crush or a good bourbon/scotch on the rocks. Otherwise it’s club soda or tonic forward with a dash of booze.My recommendation would be to avoid any ‘special drinks’ and stick with the basics. Food isn’t great, but it’s decent. Bit to far on the meh side for the price.Servers and hosts were great! No complaints on service or hospitality at all.

My husband and I have finally made it in to this restaurant after trying on several occasions. We were sat at a lovely table on the back deck. Our server was very attentive and quickly took our appetizer orders. My husband ordered clams and I ordered mussels. I love fresh mussels in red sauce, and order them every chance I get. The server brought me what appeared to be a bowl of watered down tomatoe broth with about twelve mussels floating in it. I do not understand how this could even be served. The mussels were tasteless and watery ( $15 for 12 mussels) so disappointing. My husbands clams in white were average. I order shrimp tacos which were good and very fresh. My husband had the pork chop which was out of this world. I would recommend this restaurant the atmosphere was nice and the service was excellent. I would not order the mussels,,,,,unless I hear they changed the recipe.

After waiting at the outdoor drinks-only section in front, we were fortunate to be seated for dinner on the deck during sunset. There are plenty of sunset views inside as well, but we were grateful to spend the whole time outdoors as it was a perfect evening. Great bar food-- our party of 5 split the nachos which were so stacked we all got a massive share. Great burgers, unique salads, and delicious seafood dishes. The staff and owners are so friendly and laid back, everyone feels welcome. Twisties is a favorite for locals and others who know what a treasure this place is.

We went here for dinner on the way home after a long day at the beach…. We knew it might be a bit of a wait. They said an hour- hour 15 maybe. But it’s Friday night at the shore. We expected to wait… Well…. We were in just under an hour, seated quick, nice table, solid menu- we all got vastly different things. My 16 year old son got the Salmon Tabbouleh which he LOVED, my 14 year old son got wings- which he said were so great not too messy, but hot just how they should be. I had the chicken and asparagus pasta with feta cheese I mean what’s not to love about that and my partner had pasta with clams in white wine sauce.All the food came out super quick, super hot and delicious. Our waitress (I cant remember name- so I’m sorry!) was just wonderful and totally knowledgeable about the menu.The atmosphere of the place was great too. I kinda likened it to “Cheers” because it seemed like everyone knew everyone. And I liked that a lot.I cant wait to go back and try more of the menu!My only complaint- and it’s hardly even that- it would have been nice to have bay seating…. It offers beautiful views of the sunset. But unfortunately we didn’t get that. And I totally understand it’s coveted seating and they don’t take reservations.But honestly in the grand scheme of everything it’s hardly even a real complaint!

Our favorite dinner place while in OCNJ. We love the food and atmosphere, which always makes it worth the trip over the bridge and into Strathmere. The fresh catch of the day sandwich is always on point. I love the house nachos, which are big enough to feed a small army. A nice relaxing spot to enjoy a cocktail and good grub while looking out as the sun sets over the Bay.

I don't want to talk about how great a night we just had, because I like being able to find a seat at the bar when we arrive..Service... welcoming, friendly, attentive...Naturally gracious and genuinely kind service is, unfortunately, hard to come by these days. I am ecstatic to find it still exists.Drinks.... delicious, and served with a true desire to please whether or not it's on the menu. Food.... let's just say, we know food. And this casual, relaxed spot offers fare that compares to and in fact surpasses many a white-tableclothed evening we've experienced. Get the tilefish. Or whatever the chef gets his hands on tonight. You won't regret it.Hoping this review ensures seats at the bar for us for the next few decades.Thank you everyone at Twisties:)We are officially "twisted" ;)

Friendly, comfortable, throw-back, local spot. Great food, reasonable prices, cold drinks, and a real jukebox, no kidding a jukebox. Good service, staff hustle to get around. Nice mixed crowd, all ages. Did I mention the burger was delicious? Will stop again!

Lunchtime stop. Food and service both pretty good. Be prepared for sides pricing for anything other than chips for sandwich menu items. Also, 75 minutes limit on indoor seating during peak dining hours. Opens at 12 noon on Thursday through Saturday? Recommended from our group were the Sweet Potato fries, plain or Maple and Cinnamon, the Limoncello Marscapone cake.

Twisties is a wonderful tavern! They have great employees!! Our food was delicious and we had great service. Everybody was so kind ! We'll be back ! Thank you for an amazing experience! A wonderful family paid our bill . People paid it forward that day. God bless them!

Went here because it was on the way. Big mistake. Ridiculously overpriced. $20 for a lousy burger. Water tastes like it's right out of the bay. Service is friendly but spotty. Only reason to come here is if you come by boat.
