I wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to one of my favorite new local businesses.. I tracked down Cardinal garden center after seeing a delivery of beautiful laurel plants arrive at my neighbor’s house while I was out on a walk. I immediately knew I wanted to buy my plants at Cardinal because they were of such obvious high quality. Not only do they have lovely plants, but the staff is helpful, knowledgeable and just basically awesome. I’m new to the northeast so they spent plenty of time discussing my new yard’s many landscaping needs and walking me through their inventory. They also have an excellent selection of pots—much better than the local big box stores. On my first visit they helped me choose two large planters for a pair of enormous Boston ferns along with drainage rocks and top-notch potting soil. I also purchased a gorgeous pair of mums for my front porch and a set of boxwoods to later replace the mums. On a recent visit, I found the most beautiful carving pumpkins and a couple of cute decorative ones. Have you watched the movie “”You’ve Got Mail.” A visit to Cardinal is like stopping by “”The Shop Around the Corner.” You receive plenty of personalized service from a knowledgeable staff.I stopped by Cardinal this morning and discovered a wonderful selection of Frazier and Balsam Firs. They were very fresh and full. I also picked up a beautiful wreath.

We’ve been going to Cardinal Nursery in Springfield for a few years now for all of our spring and summer plants and shrubs. They are excellent to work with and very knowledgeable. For the past two years now, we started going there for our fresh cut Christmas trees. Amazing selection and same professional manner. I can’t recommend them highly enough.Thank you for helping make our holidays that much brighter. 🌲

Cardinal nursery has a wonderful selection of trees, flowers and supplies. The staff has always been nice and very knowledgeable and helpful when I need answers and advice. Highly recommend this local spot. I have always been happy with the quality of the plants.

Superb experience. The owner personally walked me around and answered my questions/made recommendations. For garden supplies, this beats Home Depot or Lowes - no question about it. I come visit here periodically, just to see what's new for the season. Some good bargains may be available.

Great selection of plants..the gentleman who works there is always helpful & friendly..the woman is abrasive & rude..if I go back I will prob pull back out if she is there..she can def ruin your day. Had 2 deduct 2 stars for her behavior.

I went here for some fruit plants.The staff were very helpful, took their time to explain everything and recommended specific plants. They are very patient if you are a newbie to gardening.I was very happy with the purchase, would be great if they can do free shipping.Shipping is calculated based on your zip code, paid $50 for shipping. To avoid this, go with your own truck if you have one.Overlall, a great place.

I love this place. All their plants are healthy and beautiful. Their garden products and supplies are well-selected and high quality. The owners happily share their deep knowledge with you. Why would you ever go to a big box garden center when you could support a great family business like this one?

Very nice people and very knowledgeable. Diagnosed my lawn problem within minutes. Thought I had fungus and turned out to be something totally different. Reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend them!

I like Cardinal Garden Center. They are very friendly and happy to share gardening advice. They have a variety of plants and mulches in their yard. I bought a very large Kwanzan Cherry tree here. They came out, planted the tree, did a great job and offered a 1 year guarantee on the tree, which is growing well. I have also been here to buy hydrangea, peony, compost, etc. I like this place.

We have shopped here for years and have always had a good experience UNTIL NOW! We ordered materials for delivery today. Driver left a message saying he would be at the house soon. We prepared, getting out the wheelbarrows and other equipment. Driver went to the wrong house, where no one was home. They claim they tried to call us from that house but our phone did not ring. The driver went back to the nursery and when we called to see about re-delivery an angry woman there told us this was our fault and they would no longer do business with us. She was as rude, obnoxious and insulting as any vendor we have ever dealt with. Forget it, and them. There are many quality nurseries around us who treat their customers with respect.

The siblings who run this business and their staff are terrific. Not only do they have great products and do fine work—patios, rocks walls, etc.—but they are extremely knowledgeable and can guide you to plantings that will work well in your location.

Female manager is outrageously rude. When I asked her a follow up landscape design question, she said, “you’re not listening to me!”Gentleman is excellent - smart, customer focused. Hard to believe he’s in business with her.

Denae and Cosmo make you feel welcome, and they are eager to share their expertise to help you make the right choices and also on when and how to plant and take care of your plants. Their seedlings and plants are far superior to those from chain stores!

We have always gone here for Flowers and plants. They have a nice selection of non GMO vegetables you can plant in a garden too, which I love. Staff are pleasant and so is the resident cat I've seen for years :)
