Kim helped my dog overcome his bath time fears. He's a stubborn husky with a big personality, he's not typically afraid of things. We've tried multiple different places and his fear of groomers seemed to only get worse. He needs to get baths pretty often, so it was so sad to have terrorize him all the time. We tried washing him ourselves as much as possible just to not have to upset him so much. Not too long ago he used to panic and try to hide or escape in desperation when we'd take him to the groomer and turn away in terror whenever he saw bathtubs and bathrooms, shaking, crying, trying to get out of his harness. He never does these things in ANY other situation, by the way. He had even gotten horrible skin infections from getting his fur shaved at another place (I'm not sure why they even thought it was appropriate to shave his fur down to the skin like that). My poor baby. But at Garden State Barkway he trots right in tail wagging and he's even walked back in the door after getting a bath! He can even pop into the dog bath station at the store (Tractor Supply) to check it out now with no fear. He used to be terrified just to walk near it. So, 10/10 highly recommend 😉

My furbabies love this establishment and most importantly the awesome people who work here. They always make sure Ozzy and Scout are comfortable and well taken care of. The owner is very personable, kind and considerate for our pups. Great location and plenty of parking. The best part is when then post photos of your pups on Facebook!!!

The friendliest and most professional groomers around!! If I could give 10 stars I would!! My gremlin of a chihuahua doesn’t like anyone…. yet here he is getting excited to see his “aunt Kim” for his nail clippings, Snoop and I appreciate you all!!

we’ve been bringing our dog for about a year now. she can be temperamental but she’s always been well behaved here which i think is because of the staff. i trust them, they’re good to my baby, and she always looks and smells beautiful when she comes home. also they do photo shoots with the dogs every day which is my favorite thing to look forward to!

It’s my first time coming into the place with my Lhasa Apso pup and did not disappoint us! My puppy is fidgety and doesn’t like scissors much but the crews are nice and patient and did an amazing job. My puppy looked so adorable and well groomed after. Definitely recommend!

My fiancé and I took our mini golden doodle, Zeus, here a few weeks ago. The haircut itself came out phenomenal, but what blew us away was all of the love they gave our little guy and the friendliness of the staff. It was right before Labor Day so the groomers dressed him up and took pictures. I highly recommend anyone to go to Garden State Barkway! They’ll treat your fur baby as if it was one of their own 😊

Hands down BEST groomer! My puppy is skittish and shakes, but not with Kim. And dog's don't lie! There are plenty of groomers by me, yet I travel 30 mins to reach Kim and her crew, it's worth every mile!! You get the exact cut you ask for - every time. and my whittle Roo just loves it there! Here's a pic of her first haircut :)

I am always looking for a groomer who understands my wants and my wonderful Wheaton’s personality. Coming from NYC, I was sure it would be hard to find a boutique style groomer who gave Ozzie the attention he needed! I was so wrong, Garden State Barkway was AMAZING! quick painless appointment process, an easy discussion on how I wanted my pup to look, and of course an incredible job making Ozzie look fluffy and fantastic. He hasn’t had this good of a cut in a long time. So glad I found this place and can’t recommend it any more highly!

The absolute best!! Kim and her team connected me with a teacup poodle that needed to be re-homed. He was the sweetest little guy that fit perfectly within our family. My dog has hydrocephalus, which is a neurological condition that could cause seizures. The first groomer we tried to use denied us service and called my puppy a "liability." Garden State Barkway was recommended by our vet and I am so grateful for it. They have experience with the condition and make this puppy mama very happy! Follow them on Facebook for before and after shots of their "clients"! I love seeing my pretty Irish Doodle on their page! Always so handsome when he leaves. Worth every second of our hour drive to get here.

They are always warm and professional. My favorite, that I haven't experienced anywhere else, if there is a particular way or look I do not want (part poodle pup) they make note and do not do it in the future. They are very good about listening to your likes and most importantly, dislikes. Communicate any concerns and give tips if need be. They truly are fantastic!! We discovered them as a recommendation and have continued to pay forward as our recommendation now!

I took my dog there they said he had nots in his fur behind his ears so instead of calling me and asking me what I want done they took it upon themselves to cut 2 bald spots behind his ears. And the rest of his haircut was uneven. If you have a pomeranian or a dog with puffy or long hair don't bring it here or you will regret it like I did!!!!!!!!!

Garden State Barkway has exceeded our expectations on a regular basis. Not only are they wonderful humans but they treat our fur babies like they are their own. they do a thorough job and dont overcharge for all that they do. A Pet Grooming service like this is very rare these days!

I love all the employees at parkway I said parkway not parkway I have a little Yorkie who needs extra who has to be very gentle with her and I took my other dog there I will never go anywhere else I travel 45 minutes just to get her there as usual she comes out beautiful and she's handled with great care people don't think how important it is to have a good groomer there was another dog killed at one of these petco's again today but I never had to worry one bit when my little Chloe is Kim's
