This was my dog Bates' first time ever getting professionally groomed. From start to finish, it was a great experience. The staff was kind and very calm. The place itself was beautiful and the dogs have their own individual areas (not cages). Bates came home with a beautiful haircut and was so soft, and smelled great. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Could not recommend a better groomers! For a dog mom it’s tough dropping off your baby to a place your pup typically never enjoys, however ever since I’ve been taking my now 12 year old yorkie to city dog spa & boutique i could not ask for a better place for not only handling my dog always with so much love, but for great grooming as well as comforting customer service.As I’ve had dogs for many many years and being in and out of grooming salons i know how hectic and uncontrolled it could get and you truly don’t see that at city dog spa & boutique. I even love how at times they play spa music! It doesn’t smell like a groomers when you walk in. It is TRULY a spa for these pups!GREAT small business right here in town, Montclair !Nala loves you guys!!

Visited City Dog Spa and Boutique after a recommendation from a friend. Prior to this I have only used Petco and what a difference !!!Staff explained what the process would be like, what delays I could expect and overall very welcoming, professional and friendly to my kids and myself Can't thank the owner enough for her kindness to our Eloise !!!!

Best groomers! They are the only ones who can handle my temperamental little pooch — so gentle, kind and professional. Excellent service and very quick turnaround. They always do an excellent job. Highly recommend!

I’m really satisfied with their grooming services. Today was Max’s first time here and he looks great!! The staff was quite friendly and caring. I explained that Max gets a little anxious during grooming but he seems to have done really well here. Thank you!

Arrived a couple of minutes early for my 1pm appointment, the manager or owner - not sure which, was going to take my pup to wait. When I asked her how long, she said at least 30 minutes. I asked her why she did not call me as we would have come at 1:30, but she just shrugged. No apology. (My pup stresses about being groomed) I told her we would come back in 30 minutes. When I came back at 1:30, she said it would be another 30 minutes. I said "goodbye". I also want to mention that a second dog was on the other workspace, while the first dog was just standing there alone with no supervision. I had my pup groomed here last time and Carlo does a great job, but I will not be returning. Very disappointing and uncaring small business.

Alfie is full of anxiety when he needs a haircut. But Carlos was so nice!! Alfie was so happy when I got him. They are amazing very clean and organized!! I highly recommend!! Thank you so much for taking good care of our sweet dog. 🐕

This is by far the best groomer we have ever taken our dog too! Nicole is amazing and our dog absolutely loves her! She is so gentle with him and always fills us in on his grooming experience! She is always accommodating with our dog's needs and we feel so at peace leaving him with her! Such a beautiful spa for our fur baby! Thanks Nicole for always taking good care of our pup!

I've tried multiple groomers and finally found the one! 😊 Everything about this place is great; it's clean, they are always on time, everyone is pleasant and my dog is happy. Carlos has been our groomer each time we have visited and we are very happy with his work.

Unfortunately tried to support local and was told they don’t do Rottweilers. I see much smaller dogs with hot temperaments and Kota the Rotti just wants all the love. This establishment has watched too many horror stories and knows nothing about dogs

I’ve been to several grooming salons in the area and the search has finally come to an end! This salon is clean, calm, and the groomers are truly professionals. I mean it, they are really good... They care about your vision for the dog but also will do the right thing for their safety and well-being. My dog loves getting his haircut and I could not be happier taking him here. Thank you!

Brought my puppy in for a grooming and had a wonderful experience. Amanda walked me through the check in process and understood what kind of grooming I wanted for my puppy. She was excellent, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. They even provided me with a courtesy call as the grooming was nearing completion. From start to finish, the service was outstanding.

The staff is so nice, the spa is clean/pretty and my Yorkie’s haircut came out perfect (and I’m usually very picky). He wasn’t stuck in a small cage once he was done which made my feel great. They have very open “stalls” if they need to keep the dogs separated but it’s very roomy and not fully enclosed. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this grooming salon for your furry best friend! Amanda is amazing and has so much love for her doggy clients. The boutique is extremely clean and the staff is very friendly. I wouldn’t take my girl anywhere else!

We have taken our dog to many groomers and this is the first time she left without being hurt or stressed. I loved that they have little suites instead of cages and the staff was extremely friendly. We will definitely be taking our dog here from now on!!

Friendly knowledgeable staff. My hairy mutt never looked so good. The space is great. Open and very peaceful. Dogs do not go into cages- they all have they own little private space with a doggie door. And the price was comparable to other Montclair places.Can’t wait to go back.

Called for the `st time. Resident 3rd generation of Montclair for 60 years.asked questions to the receptionist. Needed to know what she meant by stating price starts at 70.00 but all prices are situational. I have a 16 week pure breed cocker spaniel puppy. I said so if he cries is that 10.00 extra I stated donot understand.She clearly said this is not the place for you. She hung up. How discrimiatory is this what Montclair has become. Horrible. Called back to talk all call hung up on. Very discrimatory. Terrible Montclair never treated people this way. Horrible

I do not recommend this place at allI brought my 18 week old yorkiein for clean up cut around her face her feet and told them I do not want her body cut at allI went back to pick up my puppy and they shave her completelybut didn't cut her face or her feet like I asked and she smells 6th u really badPlus they were very rude to meand the owner told me it wasn't a big deal it's only hair and it would grow backNOW I have to take my puppy to another groomer to fix the mistakes they madePlus she is my therapy puppyand this experience was stressful for her and me
