Been here a few times, I’ve always found what I needed and wanted. Decent staff, clean store, no issues or complaints from me so far and one of the better Dollar Generals compared to a few that I’ve gone to.

The Dollar General on Springfield Avenue in Maplewood New Jersey is pathetic when shopping with them they tell you they will not take $20 , 50 or 100 bills they prefer you have exact change or use a card very discouraging when it comes to patronize a business

The workers are always on their phones, not working at all. There’s one of the girls that work there, that’s so loud and disgusting. I saw a few bugs on some of the food and i was so disgusted by it. Never going here again!

Customer service was horrible. I couldn’t find anything I was looking for, and nobody helped me despite me asking for help multiple times. The place was disgusting when I went, and I believe I saw a cockroach towards the back.

Most cashiers helpful. One middle aged female cashier is racist, aggressive. Have seen her ignore white customers and give elderly white customers attitude and be very rude.

This location store hours says 8am-10pm but the app says 8am-9pm I arrived here at 9:45pm there closed this location needs to change their hours on the door

I feel this store helpful with a wide variety of dry, frozen, dairy products, toilette papers, tooth paste, etc. and all prices are lower than other stores. (Japanese customer in Maplewood)

This location is by far one of my favorites. They stay open longer then other stores in the area and the employees are always friendly. I usually come late before closing and I’m in and out.

Best dollar general I've been in so far clean friendly staff well stocked and good location.. PROSPERITY QUEEN48, You must have the wrong store I live in East Orange and I travel to Maplewood because everything I need is there as well as the cleanliness of the store. How dare you call them workers they are employees and why would you pray for someone to be fired so sad... Who do you work for so I can speak with your boss? You dont like the service shop somewhere else I doubt they would miss your rudeness.

I found what I needed without any issues. The line moved quickly so that I was in and out within a few minutes, and the cashier was polite and fast moving. Great experience for someone that was in a hurry to be in and out fast. 5-stars personally.

My experience was excellent the store is clean and organized they have so many things in there I would definitely go back I would definitely recommend to others to stop by it's just a good feeling to go to a store that has things that you won't find in other stores I had to stop shopping and go pick my cousin up lol 🙃 😆

Have you ever needed something at the last minute and you are trying to find a store that is open by 8am? If this is you then this is your store. The store was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and I am speechless about the price (it was FABULOUS )!
