I live across the road from this CVS location ant 198 New Hampshire Ave, Lakewood NJ and I visit the store every week. During this visit the store manager followed me and my children. He told us we were not allowed in the grocery aisle because he needed to keep the aisle clear. I placed items I intended to purchase in a reusable bag, which is a normal practice for me. I believe my race was the reason I was followed even though I am a frequent patron of this CVS location. I have been a legal professional for more than 23 years and it still shocks me how perceptions are made based on the color of a person’s skin.
