Brilliant bar + live music venue in Jersey city. The minute you walk in you feel the vintage vibes from the space but then you also hear the cutting edge live music pouring out from the back. Downstairs you can also find stand up comedy. This place was definitely on my radar for a while so finally came to check out a friend’s band play. Plenty of drink options and friendly bartenders !

Think I got food poisoning. Ordered the fried oyster mushroom sandwhich. Wasn’t even cooked and fries were black and old. I have sharp pains in my stomach. It was my first ever time going. Really sucks cause I’m a vegan and was excited to try this spot since they had vegan options. I feel really sick like I have to throw up. Writing this 4/16/2024

A typical weekend with friends usually involves them doing a lot of drinking without any care about what is eaten before or after. I’m not a drinker and being the unofficial designated driver, my time spent in a bar is watching them chug beer or tossing back shots. All that changed when I came to this place. The entire food menu is vegan. I’m literally in bar heaven. The menu is large with choices and I decided on the Kentucky Fried barbecue sandwich which came with a large amount of fries. It was yummy. My friend ordered a burger and she said omg it tastes like a real burger and it came with a lot of fries also. So many fries that neither one of us were able to finish them. You can dine inside or outside but you have to order everything from the bar and that puts you in contact with a very cool staff. Lindsay,Nas, Steve, Vinny, and Danny were some of the coolest bar keeps I’ve meant in a while. Probably all that vegan food has their spirits nice. The price for the meals and 5 drinks was way lower then I expected also. I’m going to make sure I’m really hungry for my next visit to this jewel in Jersey City so I can try more then one entree. Oh and they have a pinball machine!!!!

By far my favorite bar in Jersey City! Great live music on Thursdays and they have a comedy nights in the basement.I did notice some bad reviews about the bartenders which surprised me. However, it’s a big place so it does get super busy on some nights. You may need to be a bit patient with getting a drink on super busy nights. That’s just part of going to a popular bar. I’ve never had issues with the staff.Lastly, they have a vegetarian bar food menu and the cauliflower wings are my favorite!

Great band and live music. This is a favorite joint for some time now. Vegans love it. Drinks are okay but the vibe is super chill especially its open very late night and a great place. Vegan people love the cauliflowers - as a meat lover I’m agnostic

Pet Shop is a unique little bar located in Jersey City, NJ & it’s a great spot for gatherings!! I recently popped-in with a group of friends for a drink and I had a lovely experience. The bartenders are so nice and the atmosphere inside this place is so cool!! I tried a Lucky Shot and it was well-made + presented nicely. The food is AMAZING! Try the Tator Tot Tacos & the Cauliflower “Wings” with buffalo. I will definitely return here if I’m back in JC - I love this place!

During my visit, I experience good customer service; Arianna (excuse me if I'm spelling your name incorrectly) kindly helps me navigate Vegan options on the menu and even works a bit after clocking out to finish processing my order. I order The Cubano which comes with a very thin Vegan deli slice though the entire sandwich packs a lot of flavor. The Vegan cheese helps cement the flavors together well though the bread offers as distinct a flavor as the Vegan deli slice. I only eat half the sandwich (of which the other half does taste as good about five hours later, after traveling well). The side salad is so juicy and refreshing especially as a light portion of the meal whereas The Cubano is a dense portion of the meal. The environment is lively especially with a live band as well as crowd (during my visit). Good vibes! One must seek to order anything for one's self. Employees do not seek any customer out (as far as my last visit Thursday, June 15, 2023) like at a traditional restaurant. The establishment accepts different forms of payment.

Came here because of all the vegetarian food options. But to be honest this is more of a bad that happens to serve vegetarian food rather than a proper vegetarian restaurant.the food came out very quickly which leads me to believe everything is preprepared and frozen. Afterwards I realized nearly everything on the menu is deep fried.Wasn't bad perse but definitely wouldn't return for the food. Neither me nor my parter finished our meals. I had a po boy and they had a rice balls or something similar. also both of our sodas were completely flat.Maybe if I was more of a drinker I would like it more. No table service either. you have to order at the bar.Overall not really my vibe but I get the appeal. the bartenders were friendly enough.

This place has been on my radar for a while and I finally got a chance to give it a try. This area is usually bad with parking but I was lucky to find parking right away. When I walked in I was greeted and told I could sit anywhere I wanted. When my friend arrived we ordered our drinks. Ariana was our server and she was so nice and attentive. I ordered the Femme Fatale to start and it was pretty decent. My second drink was a grapefruit tequila drink and it was really good. My friend liked his desert rose drink.This spot is vegan so all things are veganized on the menu. For entrées I ordered the bacon jalapeño chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the pulled jackfruit sandwich. The sandwich looked like real chicken and also tasted similar to it with a little spice. My friend really enjoyed his sandwich as well. The bill came to about $80 total which wasn't too bad. All in all I had a good experience.

Really good food. The service is very polite. It has a number of drink side games to play with a group of friends and spend a really good time.The entire menu is vegetarian which was the main reason to pick this spot for a Sunday brunch.Bao Buns- definitely a must try. Also the loaded tater tots turned out really good than I expected.

This place has a nice atmosphere and they have board games that you can play which made it even better. Food-wise, not the best I’ve had, but when you take into account that it’s bar food and not a proper restaurant I think they’re doing a good job. Plus it’s great having a place to go to where a vegetarian/ vegan can actually eat the bar food at all.

Pet Shop is a favorite of mine in downtown JC - it's great to have a bar with vegetarian food and good music that draws a good crowd. PS Wine Bar downstairs is quiet gem of really good wine and fun in an intimate atmosphere.Pet Shop / PS Wine Bar hosted us for a Valentine's Day tasting menu. While they planned to offer it to more guests, an oversight made them scale back the event and Nicole and I ended up being the sole diners. It was really incredible. Chris (sommelier) and Eric (chef) hooked up 5 courses paired with really fun wines and stories to go with them. We had the best time.You should go. Drink a couple beers and don't miss the buffalo cauliflower. Keep an eye out for Wednesday nights at PS Wine Bar for some cool DJs and wine specials. Make friends with people.

Drinks and ambiance: check and check. I LOVE P.S. Wine Bar downstairs. The guys behind the bar are always knowledgeable without being pretentious and the service is on point. Don’t forget to read the wine descriptions - always entertaining. I haven’t tried food there just yet, but I’ll have to give it a go next time! See you soon!

One of my go-to vegetarian spots in Jersey City. Great food, beers & staff. They have a decent selection of vegan options if that’s what you fancy. I’ve had their impossible burger, sausage and peppers, fries etc and recently their pulled pork sandwich.

Best place on Grove St area to get your drinks. Bartenders are so on point and the cocktails are always the best quality. One day I came in and I didn’t know what to get…. The bartender, She asked me how I felt and from my description she made me a drink. I’ve had that drink 4 times now . It’s such a mood boost going here. Their bartenders really make you feel like you’re one in a million and the venue is really fun. They even have board games/ card games. So freaking delicious! The fresh start cocktail is as refreshing as it sounds. Vodka mule was exactly what a mule should taste like. "Ropa Vieja" tacos is the bee's knees! Those home made fries were Crispy and mushy just right. The Cauliflower Wings didn't make me missing the chicken at all. Thanks Vinny and Jess for the great service guys. Highly recommend!
