The lady that works here is absolute superb. My cat has never cared for catnip products but he went crazy for the catnip product she reccomended. Not sure who is happier, me or Mr Benjamin Franklin, the cat.

The owner and staff are always so helpful. And their selection is fabulous! They've got everything the big stores have, and at competitive prices. I also get a kick out of the owner, Mike. At first I thought him crabby, but he actually has a droll sense of humor and is incredibly easy going and friendly. Both with me and other customers, there have been times when he's actually talked us out of buying something as he knew it ultimately wouldn't serve our long-term interests. I mean, who does that? He's a true character. I always look forward to going there.UPDATE: They deliver! Maybe they've had this all along and I didn't know it, but I love and use this service all the time now. And it's free! I always give a nice tip, but they don't ask for it. Just another reason to shop with Hoboken Pet.

These guys are amazing. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly - we love stopping in here, and they turned us onto great food for our pets. When we rescued our cat, they gave us a bunch of (free) food, toys, and basics to welcome the cat to his new home. Also, since huge bags of food can be expensive, they do free delivery. Thank you Hoboken Pet!

I have been ordering from Hoboken Pet for years and have never been disappointed. Have multiple dogs and cats and prefer the tag that feeds through the collar so they don't get caught on anything outside. I always recommend to friends with pets!

Nobody is better than Mike. He reminds me of Kris Kringle in Miracle on 34th Street because he'd send you to another store if he didn't have what you needed. (Not to mention he dresses as Santa every holiday season and take pics with your pet.) Expert pet advice from years of experience in the business, and stocked to the gills with all your pet's needs. Don't look any further, this is your place.

Wonderful pet store! It has all of the basics that you would need. The prices are reasonable. There is a great selection of dog treats and toys. The staff always gives out treats if you bring your furry friend around!

Probably my favorite local pet store honestly. There’s 1 local pet store closer to me but I’d rather drive an extra 10 minutes to come here.Good selection, good service and a fair pricing for the quality. Sometimes they have a box of primal freeze dried nuggets that they sell 2 for $10 which is a REALLY good price so def grab 1 or 2 for your cat or dog.Def check them out if you haven’t already

We LOVE Hoboken Pet! I’m not a fan of jingling tags so their tags that “hug” the collar are perfect! And we couldn’t keep a collar on our cat until we found their neoprene collar. And with the addition of one of their tags, we have comfort knowing that she always has some sort of identification on her. Thank you for doing what you do...make awesome tags!

what happened to that other guy... Andy? He had just as much knowledge as Mike I remember him helping me set up my litter box after he walked it to my house when I 1st moved in. And later bringing me a cardboard carrier and even helping me put my cat inside. the new guys nice to but he's usually on the phone and doesn't know as much, Still a Great place to shop at.

I'm not sure if the cashier is the owner, but the gentleman helped me so much. My cat was not agreeing with his new food.The cashier helped me buy the old brand of food my cat likes, as well giving me some pumpkin packets to mix with his food to soothe his tummy which worked tremendously.He also told me I can return any food for a full refund if my cat doesnt like it or gets sick from it. Good to know! Not money hungry, really cared about the well being of my pet.

Huge selection. Knowledgeable and super friendly and helpful staff. The owner always goes above & beyond to help with treating any ailments your pet might have and even went so far as to get a biochemist on the phone for me regarding my care for my ailing dog. He has given me food to try for my dog and doesn’t charge me unless my dog likes it-and he is so kind-by donating food for stray animals I care for. Truly the best spot in Hoboken. Mike and his staff are a blessing to Hoboken and Brooklyn. We are SO lucky. My dog runs to the door when we say “Uncle Mike”!!! That’s enough for me! Thanks Mike-🐶❤️🙌🏻😘💐💐💐💐

Best.Dog.Tags.Ever! If I had to guess, I would say that this is my 8th Boomerang tag. I have small dogs and I love the x-small slide-on tag for 1/2" nylon collars with a snap closure. They stay put and stay on the collar so one tag lasts a lifetime unless somehow the collar itself is removed and lost. And there is no hanging ID tag to add to the jingling. Truly, I can't imagine how anyone could come up with a Hoboken Pet.

I go here every weekend to get treats for my dog. The staff is polite and helpful. The prices are excellent. They have pretty much everything. I highly recommend shopping here if you get the opportunity.
