Store is very small, and unfortunately doesn't have enough employees to handle the volume of customers that come into the store. A lot of customers use it because Gloucester doesn't have a grocery store. Due to the lack of employees the stores floors are often dirty, but the employees they have work very hard. Products are often out of stock because of the volume of customers. When they do get shipments it takes quite a while for employees to restock because they are often waiting on a high volume of customers. They desperately need a much bigger store and more employees.

I love coming to Dollar General for fairly quick shopping trips as opposed to a big store when I only need a few things. The store is usually pretty well stocked most of the time and the prices are very reasonable. I've gotten to know many of the employees over the years and they are very nice. I prefer coming here when I'm able.

I come to this one once a month, they have a Really awesome and cheap craft section. Some nice Holiday stuff and always a small inexpensive toy for my kids. I think it's usually well stocked. The only thing im not fond of is you have to leave your bags upfront with the cashier from other stores. Prescriptions too which to me is a big no no but I just make sure to go here first before going to other stores in same shopping center.

Fairly cluttered floor plan but very good selection! A lot of the items are way cheaper than the "big box" stores and not expired. Yes, they do have some knock-offs but do offer the name brand at very competitive prices. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not too shabby!

The store is an absolute mess! You can barely move in certain sections of the store without knocking things over! Also the store has bent out of a lot of things lately and I'm not just talking about Essentials I'm talking about like the walls where are the tweezers and brushes and things like that were! Also the staff is very unprofessional they like to talk about customers when they leave the store with other customers not realizing that one of the other customers there was with the customer who just left but they were talking about!

This is the worst Dollar General I have ever been to. They are extremely rude when I asked to speak to manager she came out and was more rude then the cashier she told me if I didn't like it I could leave and never come back in her store again because the store is so dirty and unorganized someone is going to fall and get hurt in there there's boxes everywhere there's clothes kicked on the floor it's just a dirty store. Shelves are never stocked. You can barely walk down the isles because it's messy and there's boxes everywhere and stuff just thrown everywhere. They never open more than one register even if the line is at the back of the store it's so long. I live in this town where the Dollar General is and I refuse to go in there because of the way the store his taking care of and because of how rude the employees are I rather go to the Dollar tree next door where it is clean organized and the people that work there don't mind helping you find things you need

The Gloucester City NJ store on Broadway stinks. It is always dirty and a mess. Today I had the pleasure of a dirty loud mouth lady grabbing my arm for no reason and also was not wearing a mask. The manager was there at the register and said nothing to her. When it was my turn to pay I told her she should of put that woman out of the store for not wearing a mask and acting nasty to the other customers. I will not shop there again. Not to mention there is always a long line waiting to pay and get out of there. Dollar Tree is the one for me. Right near dollar general and everything really is a dollar.

This particular location is having a contest with Walmart to see just what kinda of train wreck clientele can walk threw the door. I ran in for a couple random items and the associate working was very polite and attentive but the best part was the random people walking around was suprised to see that kinda of customer outside of a Walmart setting. Check it out if ya wanna good giggle.

Loved the Christmas 🎄 stuff on clearance for $.10 but dealing with a string out crackhead in the line at 9am reminded me why I don't go in that store very much. Also the store is a mess. Hire more people!!!

Usually pretty packed and there is stuff all over the place and aisles are small, but they have all ur necessities, snacks and some interesting cheap clothing items too. Anything else you need you could easily find at the dollar tree to its right or CVS to its left lol

This place is always a mess. Stuff in the aisles waiting to be shelved. Shelves in total disarray. Stuff all over. Apparently no one who works here ever picks anything up. Only go here as last resort. Walked in today, took one look and walked right out.

Saves me time so i dont have to go to walmart . As of Sept 16th I will be adding to this Review asap due to seeing a review that claimed this Dollar general was Clean and Organized.. lol NO WAY that's exactly why I wouldn't give it a 5. Apparently the woman whom gave it this review 2 months ago must be Friends or Family of current Management. This store is so unorganized I CANT GET MY Wheelchair down most Isles ANY Day I Go. I'll be getting some photographs every time I can to Prove that person is lying in her review.

Items on the wrong hooks ringing up wrong. Store is an accident waiting to happen. A hazardous mess. Managers said, "It's a lot better than over the holiday." Can't imagine what that was like. Store is a disaster area.

Oh yeah,, great store,, even had $1.00 TastyCake Lemon pies at the registers,, but couldn't buy smokes cause i didn't have my ID on me,,,, boooo!!

Why is is the Gloucester City store so messy? Inside the store and also outside Entrance is always a mess. I could not shop because, I could not get through the boxes and empty containers that were thrown all over.I will not shop here anymore. I'lll drive to cleaner location.

Disgusting, dirty floor, isles jammed, cashier belt always broken! The only thing I like is reasonable prices and close by, otherwise Dollar General executives dont care about the highest revenue store in the area!! Needs attention!!

Although the staff tries to be customer friendly they seem to lack the basic knowledge of customer service is very evident, unfortunetly the store is unorganized and at times disshevald, product not put on shelves, out of stock on shelves but in stock on the cart from the store room that at times just sits there for days, the manager is great but seems a bit over whelmed with her store, their staff turnover is very high for just a moderatly sized store, if you can get to another Dollar General store i would reccomend the one on white horse pike in Oaklyn.

If I could've giving it zero stars I would have. It's dirty in there it's like someone came into the store and just started throwing stuff everywhere. You almost fall ever corner you walk around. They barely have what you need ever. The worst part is the people who work there are extremely RUDE!!!!!

Mostly have what you need, some of the time. They run out of a lot of things quickly, and only get a shipment 1x a week. I would have to say they are more of a convenience store.

This store is soooooo dirty, the floors, the stuff in yhe store , and even the outside and the sign are disgusting. The people in there working are so nasty, they got rid of the boys in there that were the only good workers

I always get a friendly hello from the staff at this store, Tuesday is a cheerful manager who keeps things going and brings a refreshing atmosphere to her store, it's always a pleasure to shop there.

Things are in the Isles and people are almost tripping over the products on the floor.think employees should be hired to work s couple hours at night just to clear the Isles for customers in the day time..but employees are very polite and nice there

It's a good and nice clean place and workers r very helpful. The one in Woodbury is dirty and the one guy manager is not a good manager he is smoking more than working and the place is always a mess.

Went there today and it was a complete mess! Nothing is organized, clothes were off the racks and on the floor, merchandise was all mixed up on the shelves. Management needs to do some serious clean up, not impressed at all.
