We only have positive to share about our experience with pro canine! We brought our German shepherd to be trained with them. At first we were hesitant since we already had poor experiences with other training facilities…but now as we completed the training we know 100%that this was the BEST investment! Chiara was our trainer and she was absolutely the best! She never rushed us and helped us with all our questions! Andre also was available ALWAYS and still is! Their true care for the dogs and their commitment to us to receive a perfect dog made this experience exceptional.We did basic obedience and off leash recall and it took about 6months. We have now had our German shepherd in our home living with us with out ANY issues! He has become the perfect family dog with little kids because of Chiara and pro canine!!! We are so grateful for the work they do and the true experience they have.Getting a guard dog was a big learning curve for us, but we are so thankful that we received the best training by such good and truly caring people who care about the well being about the dog!

I've adopted a 11m old Belgian Malinois and I was referred to Andres by a neighbor. Honestly I am so far Very happy she did! He is extremely smart, and knowledgeable about his dogs. Nutrition he recommends is doing such a good change esp bowel movements for my pup and training so far is going extremely well, may be short classes but if you think about it.. My dog is getting exhausted it's not about the length of the class, it's about the work I do with my pup .. his brain is fried.. can only repeat a single command so many times before he gets cranky with me and don't want to listen. Andres is very good about that.. he knows when your pup needs a break, he would never push too hard. I'm very satisfied, can't wait to see what more there is for my boy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We are very pleased with the results our dog received from Pro Canine Center. We have a very strong willed yellow lab named Cooper. He was difficult on a leash and would not come when called. We had him evaluated by Andres and signed him up for 2 days a week training with Chiara for basic obedience and off leash recall. We are so impressed with the progress that he has made.Andres and Chiara were wonderful to work with. They were very accommodating to our schedules and very professional. Chiara, our trainer, has the patients of a Saint working with Cooper as he has a strong willed personality. Chiara would send video updates on Cooper’s progress, and we were truly amazed to see how well he responded.Once Coopers training was complete, it was our turn. Chiara taught us the correct use of the leash and the proper commands so that Cooper was successful. She was wonderful to work with, has great knowledge about training dogs, and really cared for Cooper while she worked with him. We are so grateful to Chiara and everyone a Pro Canine for all of their help and guidance.We would definitely recommend Pro Canine Center to anyone who needs training for their dog. We had a wonderful experience.

We came to Andre after I was invited in a very bad car wreck that left my 2year old at the time with a brain injury . Addi is now 3 and still suffers from focal seizure with impaired consciousness. Sadie was matched with addi and the bond the have is beyond amazing. I was not sleeping with the fear of her seeing in her sleep and dying. Sadie sleeps on th bed with Addi, Sadie will alert to the onset of Addis auras before she starts seizing, as well as a half hour before she is due for meds because her levels are dropping . THIS DOG SAVED MY BABY AND OUR FAMILY.ANDRE and Amanda became our family from day one. I highly recommend getting a service dog from them.

My Brother purchased a service dog from Andres.My brother was a combat veteran with severe PTS D. Unfortunately, my brother passed away last month and Kiwi was by his side. Kiwi was the best thing that happened to come into his life. She was the best trained dog and I can honestly say that she prolonged his life by many years. When my brother passed away, my family wanted her to be present at the military burial. We reached back out to Andres and explained the situation. He gladly offered to see Kiwi and give us the training skills to not only to bring her to the ceremony but to make her a part of our family. Just as my brother was suffering from the trauma of war, Kiwi was suffering from the stress of not having her dedicated companion that she served endlessly. Andres had my family come to his center and spent time with us and Kiwi as we all adapted to being without my brother. We are forever grateful for the professionalism and generosity that Andres gave to our family. He is a not only a world class dog trainer, he is a world class human being.

Maggie our 10 month old German Shepherd is a wonderfully intelligent handful. We went to Procaine in December and after 5 lessons there is a notable change in Maggie. Over the years I have mostly worked directly with Andres but I had the pleasure of working with Julianne with my newest dog and she was great! If you are looking for a good, reliable trainer this is the only place to go. They have given me the most loving and loyal dogs I've ever had!

There aren't enough words to express how grateful I am for the staff and trainers at ProCanine Center. I worked closely with trainers Julianne and Breanna and will 100% recommend this facility and these trainers to anyone in need of behavior modification and/or obedience. I have a working line female German Shepherd, Nanichi "Nichi", who was practically built at ProCanine Center. I did 5 weeks of Puppy Socialization and Neutralization classes, then enrolled her in Basic On-Leash obedience with all of her commands, and then continued to her Advanced Off-Leash obedience classes. She is nearly 9 months old now and is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I never owned a GSD before, much less a working line dog and they helped me every step of the way, answered every single question I had, made me feel like I was valid and heard in every concern while working me through all of her training. I discovered how passionate I was for dog training and working my dog through watching Breanna and Julianne work the dogs and Breanna teaching me how to work mine. Now I get compliments for how amazing she behaves and listens. She went through a bit of a reactive period and Breanna worked closely with her until she got over her fears and stopped reacting to dogs and people. Andres, the owner of ProCanine Center, was prompt to answer any and all questions I had and invited me for an evaluation the same week I had called nearly 7 months ago. I definitely will continue working with them in the future for any and all dog concerns I have! I felt welcomed and at home with everyone and would recommend this place to anyone no questions asked. This is our first puppy from Andre, the owner at Pro Canine Center in Frenchtown, and we could not be more pleased with our Maxine.Andre had previously trained our second German Shepherd Dog, Sasha, and he and his staff worked wonders in making her behavior positive and enjoyable. So two years after Sasha passed away, Andre found us a puppy in Germany at our request and she was presented to us yesterday .Happy, healthy, gorgeous, and full of inquisitive charm, this puppy will be loved by our family and by all whom she meets for many years. I must note that I am not a first time dog owner and have owned dogs for over 50 years including the breed we took to Pro Canine Center. Also I am very surprised at all of these positive reviews and also noticed that they are mostly in regards to German Shepherds which my dog is not.We paid $4000 to have our dog trained at Pro Canine Center. It started out dropping him off 3 days a week and quickly changed to 2 days a week. He was 4 months old and didn’t have behavior problems. We started the training as a puppy so that he would listen to us and not develop any issues or at least lessen them.The owner, Andre, said that they use “behavior modification” methods that will make our dog think differently and focus on our commands. This never happened. After 6 months of training my dog would heal, sit and lay down while on a leash and only while using a prong collar. When I was finally taught with my dog, after almost 6 months of training without me, he did not listen to me as he did the trainers. Andre said that my dog was “totally trained.” Andre said that since my dog wasn’t listening to me as he should, he wanted to train me with my dog using a E collar. While I know E collars are affective, why use it on a dog that is “totally trained?” I can only guess that it’s because of the handler, me, and that he didn’t want to take the time to teach me with my dog any longer, even though they only conducted 3 lessons with me, and an E collar is a quick fix. And if that wasn’t the case, why didn’t he continue to teach me with my “totally trained” dog; it would be my choice weather or not to use an E collar. I was told not to bring my dog back until I had an E collar to train with him. This was a month ago and nobody from Pro Canine Center has reached out to me to follow up.Also, My dog, while in training, developed a horrible habit of smacking me in the face with his paw. I advised them of this and I was told to pull on the leash and and say down. Well that didn’t work and I told them that and provided videos. Andre offered to come to my home to see what my dog does, but the person training my dog said, the dog doesn’t listen to her here, it won’t be any different at home. And I totally agreed with that! Coming to my house would not solve any issues.Andre continued to tell me I needed to sign up for off leash training, another $4000! Andre instructed me from the beginning to keep my dog on a leash with the prong collar even in the house and so now he doesn’t listen at all to us if he’s off if it. I am convinced that Andre has caused this to happen with his training by keeping dogs on the leash even in the house so owners sign up for off leash training because they are so frustrated with keeping their dog on a leash in the house!!!Please beware! I’m so embarrassed that I fell for this!! This was a very expensive undertaking for us but we did it for our dog; he is worth it. Unfortunately we went with the wrong training facility. I don’t want anyone else to go through this. I trusted Pro Canine Center and they failed us and didn’t care. All they wanted was us to sign up for off leash for another $4000!! I didn’t t fall for it this time. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

After having increasingly worse chronic pain for at least 10 years as well as social anxiety from PTSD, I decided that I'd be more independent with a service dog. After calling around for weeks, I finally found Pro Canine Center and they had a dog already available which was trained for PTSD and mobility assistance.The next day I met Elsa, her trainer Julianne and the owner Andres.From the second I arrived they were all extremely informative, helpful and very welcoming.They'd made it clear just how much miss Elsa meant to them and that if I was serious, I'd have to come to work with her regularly to earn her trust.Back then I didn't know what a huge difference she'd make in my life.She would be my strength when I couldn't walk, she would watch my back in crowds, she would comfort me when I was anxious. She would give me a sense of safety that I haven't had in years.Not only is she the best thing that's happened to me, but I know that if I have questions or need help with something, I can call her trainer.Both Julianne, Andres and everyone at Pro Canine has been incredibly helpful and professional. Whether you need a dog for protection, a service dog, or just general training, they can do it.I have them to thank for my independence and the best companion I could have ever asked for.

The facility is fantastic, the staff are amazing. Andres, the owner and head trainer knows his business. These people are not playing around, the level of professionalism is unbelievable.I received Kubb (American King Shepard), as my PTSD service dog from Pro Canine Center. His trainer Amanda is basically a savant when it comes to her craft. Having a neurological injury, and no experience in owning a dog, I was nervous that I would not be able to click with the dog.The training that Amanda gave Kubb, and her method that she used integrating Kubb and I as a team, was perfect. Kubb was already ready for me, she showed me that I just needed to be ready for Kubb.Amanda showed me that already knew his commands and prompts, it was just me that had to learn how to use them properly. I’m still mind blown by how easy she made it for me, which was no easy task. Her patience and compassion was instrumental in guiding Kubb and i through the process.I now have a battle buddy in Kubb, someone that I had been missing for a very long time. The amount of gratitude that I have for his trainer, Amanda, is immense. The amount of gratitude that I have for Pro Canine Center, Andres, and his team, is absolutely profound.Thank you, team. 23 years ago, Andres and his staff trained our first German Shepherd puppy. Fast forward to June 2022 and a few months after getting a new GSD puppy, we decided that we would see if Andres was still training dogs. Although she's a beautiful and happy girl, Sasha has proven to be a challenge for Chiara and the other trainers at Pro Canine Center. We are thankful that everyone was patient while working with her, and that our little girl has now graduated from obedience and off leash training! I've owned Ger.Sheps. most of my adult life with no behavioral issues. That changed with Leah. I got her @ 8wks. old, by 7 months old I knew I needed help. She showed aggressive behavior towards other dogs. I worked with a trainer for a little over 2 yrs. long story short many different things were tried & lots of $. was spent. I kept believing in the trainer that 1 would work, well nothing did! I came home 1 day from class feeling defeated, frustrated, upset & angry, you can only imagine how Leah felt. My boyfriend felt & heard my defeat & frustration. He said you need to get her in Military School/Boot Camp. Well our phones or maybe a Higher power do listen to us because later that night ProK9Center popped up on my phone. I called the next day & left a message for Andres, later that same day he called me back. We set up an evaluation date & he was able within minutes explain to me Leah's issues. He set up a training program for Leah, (who turned 3 in Feb. 2023) for 2 days a week to work with Julianne. Leah's been in training now for several wks. & I feel compelled to write this review to tell everyone that Andres & his staff are the REAL DEAL! Every step of the way Julianne has been letting me know what page we're on, answering all my questions & being very supportive. She sends me pics & videos of Leah's progress. I am simply AMAZED how far Leah's come in just a few wks. I can not believe it's the same dog. I'm looking forward to Leah becoming not just a good dog, but a GREAT dog Thanks to Andres & his Staff! My pup, Remy started at Pro-Canine at age 4 months for basic obedience training. (Our previous dogs were untrained and aggressive and I wasn’t going down that road again!) His trainer was Amanda, and it was a perfect match from the beginning. Her patience and dedication to her job was amazing. I could contact her at anytime to problem solve unwanted behaviors, changes in behaviors, ask questions about food, exercise, etc. Anything! Additionally, all the other trainers we had interaction with were nothing but helpful and friendly at any given time. It was a great environment with positive vibes all around! Having that support helped me understand how my dog’s brain worked, and in turn fostered a relationship between Remy and myself rooted in respect and trust.His basic obedience went so well, we moved forward with recall and off leash obedience. Once Remy was trained, Amanda brought me in to learn how to put it all together. Today, a year later, I have a calm dog that I can bring around people without having to apologize for bad behaviors. The one thing that amazes me is his recall. On a few occasions he started to chase a deer, I’d give the recall command and he would stop in his tracks, turn around and run back to me. I don’t think that interaction will ever cease to amaze me!When you meet with Andre to have your dog evaluated, do not let the price scare you. First off, your dog will continue to go until they have perfected the skills- be it 3 months or a year. And when I break down what I paid, divided by his hourly attendance at “school” (as we called it), it came out to, about $15 an hour. Granted he’s not training the entire 6 hours he there, but he is still on site and under their care. In the end, at least for us, we have the kind of dog I never thought I would have- a real live “Goodest of Boys”.

How would i describe Pro Canine in one word. Phenomenal.If I could give more than 5 stars I wouldWhat drew me here is Andres and his staff of Master Trainers only have your dog's best interest at heart.I am partial to Andrea since she is my German Shepards trainer. Anabelle absolutely loves her. In 5 sessions with Andrea her obedience had jumped leaps and bounds. We actually went for a vet visit and experienced zero stress for her and for me. The nurses commented on how well behaved she was. My heart melted at that moment.If you want a happy obedient dog, I highly recommend Pro Canine.My only regret is not finding them sooner

After purchasing two beautiful German Shepard puppies from Andre Aportela, of Pro Canine Center in Frenchtown , NJ, we began their obedience and service training program. We watched and learned from Andre and his highly skilled and dedicated team, including Brianna, Katie and Julian, how to be in control and teach a dog how to listen and provide the service they were trained for. They not only trained our dogs, they also trained our family. We have all learned so much from their knowledge of training. They are consistent and keep their training fresh by attending lectures and seminars. Their dedication to their profession is very evident and we see such strides made every time we go to a session. In fact, we began bringing our 6 year old Labrador for training as well and the results have been amazing! I highly recommend Pro Canine Center for any breed, any age dog that you own!

I can not thank this training center enough for helping us with our black lab with basic obedience and other issues we were having with her. Julianne was the best, and we loved having her as our trainer. She was upfront and honest with us; she was so easy to work with, and knowing she was training our dog, who is too smart for her good, she had her work cut out for her. Our dog spent about six months in the program and is now fully trained on and off leash. Whatever they are doing, this is working and, in my opinion, in a very short time. Our lab graduated from the program about two weeks ago and still goes and sits at the door expecting to go to training on her scheduled days.While I can rave about Julianne because we had her, every trainer there is kind and pleasant. They genuinely love each dog there and take massive pride in their work. Watching them work with each dog and knowing the different personalities is incredible to watch.Thank you, guys, for all your hard work and for helping Skye become the best dog for our family!

I came to ProCanine Center a broken Sr. Citizen with a history of rheumatoid arthritis, recovering from a stroke, concussion syndrome from multiple falls, two spine surgeries, long covid, a sexual assault and PTSD. Somehow these amazing humans found me the most incredible canine partner and my entire existence has been turned around. With my partner Ruby at my side I can now enjoy the simple pleasures of life. A trip to a restaurant to meet friends for dinner and drinks no longer feels terrifying. I can go for a walk without fear of falling. Shopping in town, a trip to the city by train, no problem. A few weeks ago I had a fall and not only did my super canine partner Ruby help me up exactly as trained, there was love and compassion in her eyes. She went to the ER with me and was showered with compliments by everyone there. Her behavior was perfect and I don’t think I would have made it through the hospital stay without a full anxiety attack, with her. If I could give this business and the wonderful and caring people there 10 stars I would.

We came to Pro Canine after failed attempts of training at Petco. Our dog who we got during COVID last summer was a very anxious and naturally insecure dog and this got worse as he got older. Looking for good training guidance we found ProCanine through a former client of theirs after interviewing with several other trainers. We decided to do the board and train with our dog Rocky and after only one week we already started to see a change in him for the better. Our trainer Andrea has done wonders for Rocky, from lifting his confidence as well as strengthening the relationship we have with him. Rocky went from being nervous around people and dogs to now walking confidently with us. Rocky is so behaved and we love him to death... thank you Andrea for helping him become the best dog he can be.

I never write reviews, but felt the need to express how happy/satisfied I’ve been with Pro Canine Center! We’ve struggled for a long time controlling our dog Beatty’s behavior until we heard about this place. Julianne, Andre and the team here are extremely knowledgeable. Beatty has some more work to do, but I’ve already noticed a HUGE difference in his behavior. He went from an insecure dog who barked/lunged at every single thing on the planet (cars, bikes, people, strollers, other dogs) to a confident and well behaved little man! I never thought I’d see the day that we’d pass another dog or stranger on a walk without a peep from him. The price is worth every penny. Julianne and the team take the time with your dog and work/care for them as if they were their own. Not only do they work with your dog, but train you as the handler, building your confidence as well! Julianne is our main contact/trainer here and she seriously is the best :). After years of having issues with public transportation, my family decided to get a service animal for safety concerns. As a college student embarking on this journey, it’s hard to find individuals to work with where you are at. Andre was the only one who did that.Andre said he wouldn’t start training our dog, Masha, until she had time to bond. After that, she went in three days a week for months. After her basic obedience, we started working one-on-one with Andre.Just to put things into perspective, I have had a whirlwind of emotions. Many periods of doubt and discomfort. Periods of familial adjustment. It’s not easy. However, I agreed to put in the effort so I was going to follow through.From an early age, we knew Masha took a longer time to digest. However, Andre has never left us alone. He has been there every step of the way. He always answers the phone and assists with any problems we have. He is always on point with scheduling concerns.Now with that being said, if you are considering a service dog… you have to be willing to commit to putting in the work outside of the facility. You have to be willing to see the bad and the good because your dog isn’t a robot.If you’re not willing to train your dog by yourself outside the facility, don’t get a service dog.If you’re not willing to listen, don’t get a service dog.If you ARE willing to go through the motion, GET ONE!
