This place carries only great quality wine, and the owner has a lot of knowledge and takes the time to help you. They have curated a great selection of wine and other alcoholic beverages. Definitely go to the wine tasting they offer, and explore the different wine regions around the world.

xplor wine is hands down the best thing to ever happen to downtown demarest (born and raised). kurt and donna are so kind, so helpful, and carry interesting, off-the-beaten-path, delicious, AND affordable wines.the duo are also SUPER creative, hosting virtual wine tastings each month featuring four bottles (sometimes a bonus fifth--lookin' at you, sauternes!). xplor will email suggested food pairings about a week before the tasting so you can plan your menu accordingly (my husband is a big fan too as he gets to taste and learn about wine and eat homemade dishes i never would've known about if it weren't for that email at our dining table!).in addition to those, xplor hosts in-store wine tastings on friday afternoons to introduce you to something new and delicious to start your weekend right. and! they'll occasionally team up with local restaurants for a fully-curated meal as well. my mom and i attended a dinner at brasserie memere in closter, and not only got to eat great food and drink great wine, we got to really chat with the winemaker and get into the cool details we wouldn't otherwise get to learn.so, if you're a fan of more than fairly priced, low-intervention/organic wines you don't normally see in local stores, xplor is for you. if you don't KNOW if you're a fan of those, xplor is still for you because you'll become one, i near guarantee it!keep up the great work!

Couldn’t have asked for a better wine store while visiting my brother. Kurt, the owner, is personable and very knowledgeable about the wines. For an entire month every recommendation was spot on. He even went above and beyond to connect me to a winery for my upcoming vacation. Make your next wine purchase here, and you won’t regret it.

LOVE LOVE Xplor Wine! Kurt & Donna are the friendliest, most lovable people ever! Kurt is very knowledgable about wine so definitely ask him for his recommendations. The lovely, gorgeous Donna also has the best recommendations (especially when it comes to the white wines). They carry a variety of alcohol despite the name of the store. Highly recommend Xplor Wine to anyone in the Bergen county area.

I had to find a local liquor store to deliver a corporate gift when I stumbled upon this store as the usual sites don't deliver to NJ.
