I want to say that I was greeted by my cashier, Mackenzie today. That was the first time I have ever been greeted in any Acme. She also offered me assistance with bagging my groceries. That was also the first time anyone has offered in any Acme in South Jersey.Mackenzie is a gem. I hope she is treated as well as she treats the customers.My four star rating is due to low inventory on shelves.

They redid the interior and it looks so good. I like all the signage and decorations. Everything is easy to find and a big produce section is avail. They have alot of check out registers now to speed up the lines. The only bad is the isle signs are impossible to read and facing the wrong directions! Maybe they will fix it!

This place is a lifesaver. I am disabled and rely on deliveries and they get it right like 95% of the time. They keep the store really nice as well. Thank you to the online shoppers!!!

This grocery store has convenient business hours of 6am-11pm daily. It's well-stocked with all food and personal care items you would expect, plus beach toys and inflatables, camping and picnic needs, a pharmacy, and a Beer/Wine/Liquor section that's conveniently open daily 9am-9pm. This is our favorite store at the shore!

I said thank you to the deli employee who cut my lunch meat - no reply. I said thank you to the checkout guy -no reply. This is not the first time. The employees are rude and it always feels like you are bothering them. They also stand there while you are bagging your groceries. So irritating.

Although these place lies on the outskirts of the land of the overpriced, everything here is reasonable, and they are rarely out of stock. I'd love the sandwich counter to make a few more sandwiches, especially on the weekends, but early bird gets the worm! Seafood dept. is tops. Fresh clams and shrimp, and even the pre-made stuff is done well and tasty.

Robert who rung me up in the liquor department was rude and uninformed. I asked him a question about one of their products and he answered me in a condescending way, lets just say it is. Someone should properly train him how to interact with the customers.

Wish they would carry more stock on alot of items and during fall, winter and spring, they don't sell rotisserie chicken parts, only the whole chicken. Guess when all the Pennsylvania and North Jersey people come down, then there will be plenty, but for the local people...Not good.

The store was clean and organized,easy to find things. Sales were posted in front of isles. ( convenient ) . But I rated this store a four because of the service desk which was not very informed with us to date policies. Instead of standing around, they should've been reading up on things.but

Their prices are higher than ShopRite and lidl and Aldi's. They always have buy two get one free. Which annoys me I'd rather just get one for the cheaper price. Instead of buying three of them which I do not need.

Clean store well-stocked with a great staff. They did a bit of remodeling and if you go there at this time of year in the evening there isn't much staff and everybody has to be heard it through the self-checkout although they have an attendant to help you. I rather go through the regular checkout lines and the self-service check out

Clean store. Friendly staff. Well-stocked dairy, produce, and bakery. I got a lovely but simple birthday cake there recently and was pleasantly surprised. ACME has always had great cookies in their store bakery - I highly recommend! The frozen foods aisles seem to be frequently out of streamable frozen vegetables.I've occasionally had issues with freshness of produce/stocking of produce, but that seems to have gotten better recently. It's a more expensive grocery store, but that's always been my experience with ACME.They have done quite a bit to keep the store clean and safe during an uncertain time in NJ, and I appreciate that and continue to give them my business because of it. Thursday nights seem to be a good time to go - not too crowded and everything is pretty well-stocked before the weekend.Meat prices are astronomical everywhere right now so, I am not going to let that issue reflect on my overall review of this ACME.They certainly do not control the US meat market.They have a nice variety of items to choose from and it's a convenient location.I recommend the store for shoppers who can afford to pay a bit more for groceries, but on a limited budget or for a very large family this might not be the store.

Plus side, Justin, my cashier. Delightful, pleasant, very capable!.Although, overall, a nice store with a nice staff, selection is a bit limited; no fresh pasta, salad bar, olive bar. Convenient, not a comprehensive selection.Went to the Acme on Avalon Blvd. Disappointing. Despite several signs saying "take a number" in Deli Dept, they weren't being used -- displayed #20, I was #54. Young ladies weren't interested when I told them and frankly were barely civil. Top of container with cole slaw popped off three times. Bread expired yesterday. Receipt has two errors. I got it -- bring your own bags; however, now cashier doesn't even offer to help, just stands there while you bag everything. Overall, not a good experience.

Only grocery store in the proximity of Avalon. Self checkout should be limited to a specific amount of items, not huge grocery orders which hold up people with quick purchases. Most disgustingly dirty men's bathroom. Wall urinal out if order, soap dispensers and electric hand drivers are broken. Baby changing station filthy. I've been in old gas stations in the middle of nowhere that are cleaner. The floors in the store are filthy. Total embarrassment to the management and Acme. If you can't get your employees to clean, consider hiring an outside firm. Acme in CapeMay Courthouse is much cleaner and better managed.10 months later and the men's bathroom is still disgusting. Does anyone read their reviews or even care. I've been in cleaner portapotties and out-houses.

The selection is pretty well though not laid out too well. I wouldn’t expect lighter fluid to be in the same aisle as laundry supplies for example. Everything is marked up significantly. Even a 2-pack of sponges is $5... very expensive here but only good for convenience really comparative to Ponderosa campground.

Mid-day crazy town. Not enough cashiers, be prepared for self checkout and a shopping carts everywhere. Lots of people stocking mid-day as well. Great stock selection on a positive note and convenient.

Great store! There are five ACME markets within a 15 minute drive of my house and this one stands out from the rest for store cleanliness, efficient shelf stocking, product rotation and friendly staff. Its not the largest one but it is in my opinion it's the best one.

I really like ACME, they have improved 1000% with their remodels, customer service and selections available. Produce is priced a bit high, but it is always quality produce. Their 2 for 1 meat special cannot be beat. Customer service it exceptional is all of the ones we have visited in the Ocean County area.

Went there today. As usual, grumpy cashiers who make you feel like you're bothering them. My milk fell over on the belt. The lid wasn't on tight and dripped all over my groceries. Asked the gentleman for a paper towel so i could wipe everything off, including the turntable. You would have thought I asked him for a kidney. Then he got annoyed with me because my leg accidentally hit the turntable button.At this point, I think I'd rather drive the extra distance to Court House.

We had to run to grab something real quick. We were down the road a campground. The whole store smelled like a fish died. Thank god I didn’t have to get anything else. I told the cashier the store smells and she said “like what” I told her “like a fish died” and she said she was probably just used to the smell. That’s gross. I would never shop here when I’m down the shore again.

The fried chicken from deli was horrible. Ruined our dinner. Tasted like old grease with to many spices!The mac and cheese from deli has way to much cheese sauce with big soggy elbows. NEVER AGAIN!I had to wait 15 min to be acknowledged and not even busy. Employees are like sloths.

Check expiration dates!!!This is a nice well-maintained store, except for a lot of their food expires during the winter months due to the seasonal population in the area. As long as you pay close attention to expiration dates and the dates on price tags you'll be fine here. I've learned my lesson after ending up with expired curdled Starbucks iced coffee, expired freezer burnt frozen dinners, and paying full price on items that I thought were on sale as per the out of date shelf tags.

Great store. Always has everything we need while we are camping for vaca. Prices are decent for location and usually plenty of inventory is available. There are always good deals to find too. Definitely ok to go here.
