I am happy to report my boy is itch free!

Great location, great prices, and greater selection of toys, items, food and clothing for your pet. The best thing is that this pet store has a very affordable, grooming area for your dog. I ❤️ it!

I went to see what they had. They have a wide variety of dog and cat foods and products. There are not very many fish supplies. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have very cool looking dog washing stations! (I do not have a dog, but it seems like this could have been easier than my bathtub when we did have a dog.)

Great pet store. The have rescues come every weekend for pet adoptions, plus they give classes in puppy training, discipline training, they even have a class in how to wash your dog properly! Great people, very knowledgeable, very patient, and very kind.

Fantastic group of people working at the west caldwell location always helping out and answering questions. I do wildlife rehab all year round and they are ALWAYS donating dry dog/cat food and canned food as well for the animals. Everything for wildlife is paid for out of pocket so any and all donations are always greatly appreciated. I love this place! It is so refreshing to shop at a pet store that is a small business vs. a national chain... there is a lot of care that goes into this store and it shows.They have a very wide selection of healthy foods available here, along with toys and other necessities for pet parents. When I needed a soft collar for a sick cat, they kindly held his size for me until I could pick it up. I rely on them to be there for my pet family!

I stopped by today for the first time and I was impressed by how friendly the staff was. The place is very clean and they even had a self dog wash. The manager Lynn was very helpful. I like this place better then Petco or Petsmart already. I will return in the future.

The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, most of all they always have everything I need for my cat. There have been times of pet foods being unavailable at pet stores but I have never found that to be true here. Recently, I heard of a lack of kitty litter at major warehouse locations and when I went to get some I had no issues with getting my brand for my pet.

Hands down, nicest pet store in the area. The store is so huge, I call it Dogs R Us. Oh and I love the pet wash station because I physically cannot get my dog in a bath tub. Dog heaven.

good place to bathe your pup—just beware that there are treats in open containers (ie bully sticks, chews, etc) if you have a mouthy pup that likes to shop for themselves. wide variety of food, treats, chews, and other supplies. it’s nice to support a small local business over large corporations. super accommodating and staff was willing to help me lift food into my trunk when i had a medical device that prevented me from lifting more than 5 lbs.

Very nice and large pet store! It's brand new, opened in Jan '21.They have a LOT of stuff, good quality food and treats. Even though they didn't have the raw food I normally get for my boxer mix dog (brand Steve's) she ordered it for me and called me when they got it. The price was comparable to other places. Also they carry NutriSource dry food which I mix with the raw. My dog got a bit too excited while at the store but they gave him a nice treat to get him to calm down too . Great experience!

My dog Thor is 8 and was diagnosed with needing a hip replacement. He is ambulatory but cannot take the two landings of stairs to get to the second floor bathroom of my home where he’s bathed on average every 4 weeks.Thor’s groomer of 8 years experienced a terrible fire in her establishment and I didn’t want to take him anywhere else, and to make matters more intense Thor does not get along well with other male dogs.I was getting pretty stressed out as Thor was getting pretty smelly. I had just about decided to rent a hotel room to bathe him when a friend suggested the Home Town Pet Shop.Well, the self wash service at the Home Town Pet shop was all I could have hoped for.1. Cleaning areas was on the first floor2. The washing area was spa like and super clean3. The tub, hose sprayer, and dryer were user friendly4. The price point was great.5. Free shampoo and towels6. The owner opened 30 minutes early so I could avoid other dogs.7. After I was finished the owner advised me to leave the clean up to them. I was so thankful I could have hugged her.8. The customer service was outstandingWhat a wonderful experience!

Love this store! In addition to the awesome staff, this store is well-stocked with so many food choices, including the difficult to find brands. The owner, Lynn, was so friendly, helpful, and truly knowledgeable when I needed assistance selecting a new food for my little girl. From food to treats to toys to accessories, they have everything- including aself-wash area for dogs!

The best pet shop around! The Staff is very friendly and helpful! They helped me pick out the proper harness for my dog. Went in the other day looking for a durable outdoor dog toy and they couldn't have been more helpful! Found this to be better than shopping at one of the big box pet store chains.

I recently moved to Livingston, NJ from the Midwest and have tried several pet food shops. None can come close to the products and amazing service from this store. I asked the owner many questions and each was addressed knowledgeably. The Customer Service was beyond outstanding! It’s a 20 drive for me but we’ll worth it.

Best pet store in the area. Selection is expansive, staff is very friendly and my dog loves them! If an item you need is not in stock, they will have it for you in a few days. Curbside pickup is available for those that want it. They will also carry heavy bags of food to your car for you. So glad they opened after petvalu closed.

Nice store but customer service is terrible! I bought an item that broke & literally went back the next day with my receipt. I was told I have to come back to talk to owner. I went back a second time & was told the same thing. So two times I wasted my time going back, as well as my gas. After my second visit it should have been rectified with at minimum a store credit. I genuinely like to support local stores but I will not be back!

Great Pet store. They have a bathing area for your dog!! Just schedule your appointment! I did use it once .This bathing area is user friendly the only negative thing...the dryer is very loud but otherwise it's great.

My puppy, Dotty and I, had the best time shopping with Lynn.The three of us became fast friends.Lynn knew her stuff and was willing to share it all with us.We were fitted for a Martingale collar, a harness and a booster seat so Dotty has a view when driving. The price was right! Dotty and I will always support this “mom and pop shop”!

I came into this store on a whim to see if they sold Nutrisource dog food. I normally have to drive to Hoboken or Paramus to pick it up and was presently surprised to find it here! Owners were very friendly and suite was stocked with great merchandise. Will be back.
