What a lovely place this is. My old vet closed and we found Mt Olive Veterinary Hospital. The waiting room is wonderfully decorated. The staff are all exceptional. They are all very knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding and I'm usually able to be seen quickly. I would definitely recommend especially since it's so easy to get to right on route 46

The entire staff here is excellent - from the front desk to the assistants to the doctors. Doctor Logan meet you with a sense of humor and is straight forward. She does an excellent job of explaining things and making both the pet and parent feel comfortable. You can tell they are not trying to rush you in and out. Excellent place!

Absolutely love this place. Everyone is kind and caring and really focused in on the need of our pet. Dr. Logan is so wonderful with Pumpkin as well as all the techs and the front desk staff. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they are. We haven’t interacted much with Dr Jones, but while she assessed him (second opinion) she was very kind and gentle.I love that Dr Logan will meet with other doctors to review his chart and bloodwork before doing further testing ($$$) that may not be necessary. She really cares about all her patients.

First of all the vet techs and front desk staff were wonderful. This is a review for Dr. Logan. I had been going there for years 11 to be exact and Dr. Logan was my vet. For years I thought they did a good job as I said above the staff and front desk were amazing.In all of those years I received text messages every six months for reminders of appointments, vaccinations and such.2023 however that changed as after my cats physical exam in April of 2023 I received no text messages and was taken off receiving text messages. Mind you my cat was 12 years old at the time. I have always paid my bills that day at their practice and never had an outstanding balance. Why would Dr. Logan take me off the text messaging list? If she had a problem with me personally she should have let me see another doctor and not abandon an 11 year patient.Unfortunately with that neglect I was forced to find another vet and he found a myriad of problems with my cat. Severe IBS which was so severe I had no choice but to my friend to sleep. I can’t help but wonder if Dr. Logan didn’t neglect my pet and gave him the proper care like a vet should. Again the staff is great and always cared for my pet. Avoid this place and Dr. Logan like the black plague. I’m sure she will comment on here saying “We would never take you off our list as it could have been a miscommunication”.

Sarah and the Mt. Olive Vet staff are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. The waiting room is extremely cozy and my pup felt at ease the whole time we were there. The staff are all extremely gentle and sweet with the animals, and they have been nothing but the best helpers in my experience. Thank you all so much!!

I cannot say enough good things about mount olive vet hospital. I’m a newer client, and I have a young puppy and an older pup. I started the puppy off by coming here and have had a great experience. Dr Altieri is phenomenal and very knowledgeable. The techs are so good with my pups and make them feel so comfortable. We saw Dr Jones with our older one, who has pretty significant vet anxiety but they were SO good with her! I couldn’t believe she was wagging her tail for the first time at the vet! The office was very accommodating for her being an anxious girl, in which my previous vet was not. I appreciate how understanding everyone was, which was calming for both my pup and I. The younger is seeing Dr Logan for his shots soon and I’m sure she will be fantastic also!

We have taken both of our dogs to MOVH for a while now, and unfortunately, we recently had to face the reality no pet owner wants to, but inevitably has to. We had to say good-bye to our beloved dog of 12 years. MOVH could not have been better in such a heart-breaking situation...in every single way. They ensured all options were considered, they did a thorough run of diagnostics to be sure we knew exactly what was going on, their bed-side manner was impeccable, their sympathy and understanding was exactly what we needed in the moment, and their follow-up with a card was very heart-warming and endearing. I cannot imagine we would ever go anywhere else, and highly recommend this practice to anyone! Thank you MOHV for everything you do!

Vet techs are awesome. Their prices are high but we were willing to pay for the services. When we felt that their medication fees are high and since we order everything from chewy they refused to approve refills over the phone with chewy. They wanted us to pick up hard copy of rx and office manager wouldn’t even go on the phone to discuss. Here are the facts: fluoxetine 1 tablet costs $0.09 with chewy, $0.18 with pet meds, $0.09 with petcarerx. At mt olive vet hospital I paid $$19.50 for 2 pills. This is not a typo. They charged me $9.75 per pill. Lyme vaccine costs around $26 and vet cost is usually anywhere from $36 to $41. At mt olive vet it costs $57 plus they charge $25 tech fee for tech administering vaccine in waiting room plus $7 environmental hazardous waste. Needless to say we left the practice. Remember, there are good vet offices in the area. I understand every business needs to make money but I can’t stand greedy.Since this feature does not give me an option to reply I’ll add to my post. Our previous vet did not even have computer in their office and had no problem doing non paid work as you say filling chewy rx is. Selling a pill that costs $0.09 for $9.75 is greedy however you slice it or dice it. Also when you administer vaccination in your waiting room instead of examination room which is same as waiting at fire house to get free rabies,but you have no problem charging $82 for tech and vaccine… it is not about caring for pets anymore. By the way I appreciate your offer to fax the records but I took hard copies to make sure your staff doesn’t have to do any more of non profit generating work.

This seriously is the best vet practice I've ever encountered. I feel like the doctors and staff genuinely like and care about my dog, and make an effort to make her experience a positive one with lots of affection and treats. Also I love that it's a small practice, so treatment never feels like a factory, and that the waiting room and rest room are so beautiful and homey and non-stressful. Also I love that it's never crowded and noisy. Thanks so much :)

I generally recommend this vet because of great past experiences for my cat but my latest appointment for my dog had really put me off. My dog had a hyperactive immune response creating a benign growth. The vet seemed to be more interested in reviewing his records and pushing vaccines that were not yet due. I thought this was a bit odd given the circumstances of the outbreak. Why cause his immune system more chaos? Needless to say, I will not be returning.

I am a new client that has been going to this vet for 2 years and highly recommended by their client. I have taken several (5) of my animals to this Vet and I can honestly say that the Veterinary care for all animals were very good. I contacted the office to advise about my recent vaccine for my dog Benny/Dachshund that was given by the doctor and was trying to ask talk to the doctor to call me back when she's available. Kim/Receptionist would not take the message. She was giving me her opinion on what was the diagnoses of my animal which she thought she was acting like she was a Vet. I feel that this office is favoring the receptionist over the client and my needs. My friend who has been going to this office for 13 years and I would never again recommend this office due to her snarky and sarcastic attitude. Just to clarify, the receptionist was unprofessional and not the other staff members, which no one was around during the conversations. I spoke with the Office Manager about the incident. She was supposed to speak with her regarding her behavior. I am not sure if it actually happened. Thanks a lot for the letter stating that you will no longer provide vet services for my pets.

I have been trying to find a new veterinarian since my last veterinarian retired. Mt. Olive Vet Hospital was my third try to find adequate care for my 13 year old pup. MOVH is welcoming starting with the front desk, the vet techs and the Doc. I do believe we have found our new home for veterinary care. I would definitely recommend MOVH for anyone who is looking either for a new vet, or a replacement vet.

The entire team at MO Veterinary hospital are wonderful. They are attentive, respectful, caring, and most important care about the animals. An ear infection. Sounds easy to treat. So you would think. Weals and weans if pain. My little Pug. 1st visit. Medication making him high as a kite. 2nd visit. More medication. Did nothing as infection progressed. 3rd visit. Pick up pain meds. 4th visit. Prepare him for sedation. Nope… no sedation just more meds and lab work costing now over $600 for an ear infection. Outcome: My little guy just came back from a cleaning of his very swollen puss gushing ear after 2 weeks of Mount Olive Veterinarian Hospital care in Budd Lake. As he hides away in a dark nook unable to to open his mouth. Who knew a dogs pain could be your pain. I do NOT recommend this facility and the youngest female Vet Miss Jones.

This is the best vet office I’ve ever been to! They are so welcoming and caring when it comes to my dogs! They are the first people that both of my dogs met outside of our family when we got them. They made my dogs feel so comfortable and brought out such happiness in them! I can’t thank the workers and veterinarians of this office enough from the bottom of my heart for being such amazing people and animal lovers! They take amazing care of my dogs the moment they step into the office and are so insightful and helpful with any questions you could have!

I really can’t say enough how grateful I am to the entire staff here at this office. From the Vets to the vet assistants to the receptionists, everyone. I am a new patient here with my dog after recently moving to the Mount Olive area. My previous dog was special needs, so I unfortunately am used to having vet visits be a negative experience all around.I had a bit of an emergency after I noticed my current little guy showing signs of a potential uti, I called in and they squeezed us in-between other appointments and were able to see us. They are all kind and gentle with him everytime we go in. Thank you for doing what you do and for making an experience that can be stressful for our little furry babies (and their parents) something that’s not so scary!

I came here from out of town because of the reviews, called another vet before hand and they were rude over the phone. Called here and had a pleasant experience and came in same day. They are very informative and everyone was super nice! If you are looking for a vet in the area, I recommend here for sure!
