Cool shop with quite a variety of items. I've been in the aquarium hobby for about 15 years now and I will say many of their tanks were in good condition but they did have some unhealthy fish and the prices were on the more expensive side. Probably a better spot for things like dry pet food.

Excellent customer service from a friendly staff. We have bought several birds from them and they go out of their way to make sure we have the support we need. If they don't have a product you want, they will order for you. Highly recommend.Also, walking through the bird room and aquarium is an experience no one should pass up.

It's a really large store for all the needs of your companion animals. A very friendly staff member spent a long time showing me specific items I'd come to buy but with which I had no experience. The staff really seemed to get along and work as a unified group. Whenever possible, I like to shop at local businesses. Yes they can be higher in price, but I think it's worth helping these places stay open.

The experience was alot different than the last time we went. They had less of a variety of birds, snakes and fish but I'm sure that's all due to covid. I always love taking my children there and I enjoy going there. When you first get there you get to purchase food to feed the fish in the homemade pond they have. It's always nice getting to see the exotic pets.

I went in to buy one hamster and was told I couldn’t buy any because someone was coming to look at the hamsters and choose the one they want so they were ALL currently on hold. They had called over the phone but the worker had no idea when they were even coming in to buy one. I was ready to hand over the money right there and leave with a hamster but was turned away. This is an awful policy to have you are literally turning away money at the door and there were more for her to choose from if I had taken one home. I have never felt the need to post a bad review but honesty this is awful business.

I walked in with my friends who were the ones purchasing, I was just following with them. I never put my fingers or hands anywhere near the bird cages and the girl yelled at me to ‘read the sign’ and to not stick my fingers near the cage. I tried to explain that I never did anything of the sort as I knew that one should never poke or interact with a bird they did not know. Additionally she was yelling at me for quite some time apparently, but I am partially deaf with an audio processing disorder and I am disabled. She had a very rude response of ‘yeah sure don’t stick your fingers in the cage again’. I know that they have to deal with that issue a bunch as a pet store, but for her to jump to conclusions and yell at me and push me into a panic attack was unacceptable. The other girls at the front on Nov 12 around 3:30-4pm also treated me like a thief and were rude to me and my friends. I’m sorry but I will not be returning, and the owners/manager should speak to their employees about how they treat their disabled customers.

I have a daughter that dances competitively every time we are traveling we always stop so my 2 year old can get out of the car. This last time we went I fell in love with certain Guinea pig. On our way home we stopped to buy him, as we walk in to the room with the animals there are always 1 or 2 persons working in the room. Neither of them asked us if they could help us, I also had 1 other daughter that was so excited. The one lady looked at the other and said I'm on break. So I go over to the other lady and ask her if we can buy a Guinea pig. Her response was "yea" she grabs a box starts taping it up with all 3 of my kids standing watching her. She does not say one word to any of them, she puts down a clip board infront of me and says you need to sign. Doesnt explain what in signing, just tells me to sign and walks away to go grab the Guinea pig. She returns tapes up the box hands it to my daughter and walks away. With her back to me I tried asking her a question and she doesnt answer so my husband says we can look it up online. Then we go out to the store to buy all the accessories, not one employee comes up and helps us. The lady at the counter was friendly but not helpful to any of my questions. My suggestion is to hire friendlier people!

Went to purchase a Ball Python. They were very helpful and very nice. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is they weren't as knowledgeable about the snake's specific stats as they should have been. But overall I was pleased with my experience.

Huge selection of supplies for fish, reptile, cats, dogs, and birds. Large fish room with a good selectio; it seems they are ordering more unique fish here and there. Good amount of staff working hard to clean the animals habitat. Addition of Dustin's plant is awesome! Could use a little bit more cleaning in areas like fish room.

We love going to visit the animals here. Added bonus is the amount of supplies available for all my pets over the years. Treats for the allergy ridden dog. Rabbit hutches and treats. Toys, cage, and tunnels for the guinea pigs. The aquarium staff is great for knowledge and advice on tank care. I will say that it is difficult not to walk out with a fluffy or feathery critter every time!

They have everything you need including specialty treats & foods instead of all the mass store brands that most chain pet stores have. Their aquarium department is impressive and the waterfall pond at the main entrance is impressive! I have shopped here and at the Claremont location and the staff at both are friendly and attentive, check them out!

Drove 30 minutes out of the way to buy fish, only to be told the fish room was closed. I was 1 of 2 customers in the store, and I saw 2 employees. Owners should look into their Monday fish sales or should i say lack thereof. Never again. Don't waste my time. Usually, they have incredible selection. But what a disappointment

They have a huge selection for so many types of pets, they care for their animals so well unlike other pet stores that mistreat their animals! I love the open bird room where you can see the birds and pet the bunnies, and the downstairs aquarium

I drag my husband in here every time we stop by, usually to go to target... I would agree, the prices are a bit steep for the fish, rodents, and rodent supplies (that's all I've bought), but the atmosphere and knowledge given by the staff is worth it. The girl that is typically downstairs with the fish is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I always appreciate those who won't let someone buy a goldfish to keep in a 2gallon "fishbowl". As a lover of goldfish and rodents, I refuse to get them from anywhere else, especially big box retailers. They are never healthy and live in terrible conditions. Here all animals are very well taken care of and as healthy as can be.

i love how well the animals are cared for. birds having open spaces and lots of toys, single betta fish having bigger storage containers than you see at a lot of pet stores (and actually having little leaf hammocks in there while they wait to be adopted), etc. i think that’s why the animals i see are so active and responsive when i go - because they’re actually being properly taken care of

Just moved to the area, and this has been our new go-to for pet supplies. They have a huge selection of anything you might need for you pets, and the staff have always been super friendly and helpful. I also really enjoy the bird room, and all the fish and reptiles in the basement level.

Poor selection of healthy fish. Too many quarantined fish and nfs tanks. It took us 2 hours for them to prepare a small order. The cashier couldn't figure out how to do a split payment & needed her phone because she didn't know how to use a handheld calculator. Then, we had to pay some crazy fee for using a credit card, not once but twice due to incompetent staff and supervisors. I would order fish from the grocery store before I visit there again.

My partner took our son and I here as part of a fun day trip. He had fond memories of going to the shop as a kid himself and learning about the small mammals, reptiles, birds and fish. He told me there used to be knowledgeable, enthusiastic people there to teach about the animals. The more we walked around the store today, the more sad and angry we felt.The bird room felt quite cold, they looked unhealthy and the staff didn’t say a word to us. We were horrified when we walked downstairs to the aquarium. The tanks were disgusting, there were plenty of dead fish just left to rot in the tanks. The fish were clearly unhealthy, and it felt extremely dingy.My partner didn’t even want me to go into the reptile room because he said it was so saddening. He wanted to leave and apologized to me, as he had no idea the stores care of their animals had deteriorated so badly. I feel horrible for these animals. He felt ashamed when we left and couldn’t understand how it had gone so terribly downhill. Do better and respect your animals or shut down. We left feeling absolutely terrible for the lack of care these animals are receiving. Shame on the owner and the people working whose “mission it is to inspire proper pet care” (straight from their website) They should be shut down.

This is far different than what it was 20 years ago. Not really for the better. But it's still a cool place. Really my only complaint was the guy working down in the aquatics dept was kinda rude. The lady at the register asked if I was a loyalty member and I said no. But she didn't tell me what it was or how to get it. So I suppose I don't need to be one.

A lot of the fish had labels saying no warranty because they were sick. Sales girl was incredibly helpful though. Went above and beyond.

Wanted to buy a fish that was only 5” and they didn’t have a bag big enough for me to take it home. Feel like they should have found a way to keep customers happy. Don’t know if I’ll ever be back
