I’d been looking for a very specific style of leather coat. I couldn’t find one anywhere locally, including Hayward’s in Milford, where I’ve purchased great coats and boots in the past. I stopped in here and didn’t see what I was looking for, but a young lady asked if I needed help. I told her I was looking for a ‘trucker’ style leather jacket. She knew exactly what I meant and directed me to the right area, and showed me three examples. I found a great one, fits perfect, and very thick. As thick as my old ‘schott’ motorcycle coat. The price was more than what you might pay on Amazon, but the quality is literally a hundred times better. It’s also great to support a local business. Visit places like this, and Hayward’s when you’re looking for quality goods and you won’t regret it. Next time, I’ll be back for boots!

Full inventory of just about everything “leather” / with the very best quality. Wasn't expecting such a huge selection first time in store…. Staff is amazing and very helpful! Offer to gift wrap purchases and provide detailed overview to best care for goods. Highly recommend… Try to stop in every time I pass.

They have an excellent selection of fine leathers and other accessories. I brought my girlfriend (who was visiting from out of state) so that I could get her a leather rose. She absolutely loved it. I'll be getting her a leather jacket next

I heard about Howard's from a friend. It didn't disappoint. Wide variety of products, excellent quality and price.Edit: upon reviewing other entries, I feel I need to update my experience. I found the staff to be pleasant. Offering guidance when needed, but giving room for the customer to browse without pressure. I can see where this might be off putting to some, but I found it to be refreshing.

Huge stock. Affordable. Quality products. Tax-free NH. Amazing staff! Hannah was delightful and helped me pick just the right jacket in 10 minutes. Never been happier. I'm a NH boy from Nashua; I came 3000 miles from my new home in San Diego to visit my mom and get a jacket from this amazing store. San Diego stores are overpriced with a bad selection and thoughtless staff. If Howard's is worth a 3k+ mile drive for me, it's worth anyone checking out :)

My daughter and I stopped here on the way from NH to NY the other day. The store has an amazing display of leather goods and we enjoyed looking at the various merchandise. The sales staff were very helpful, but not pushy. The sale prices on the jackets were very good and I tried one on that I liked, even though I really wasn't in the market for one, having three already in my closet. When I got home I realized I was missing a bracelet that has a lot of sentimental value to me, but didn't know where it could be. After exhausting all other options on where I might have lost it, I tracked down the store (not even remembering it's name!) and they had my bracelet and had kept it safe! Now they are sending it on to me free of charge no less!! I'm so impressed and grateful. Can't recommend this store highly enough for their help and integrity.

The ladies here are so pleasant and helpful with fitting and advising on leather and its maintainableThey are able to suggest gifting their goods and getting the sizing spot on. A must visit on your motorcycle. Rt 9 . Between Keene and Chesterfield NH.

This place was okay. But I did not find the staff very friendly. The prices seemed pretty good and if you knew you were looking for you were probably in good shape. But the staff was not very helpful. If you don't need the help, you'll probably be fine.

The girls are great. Always stop in when in the neighborhood. If purchased several items there most recently as of 1/10/16 me boots Boulet Boots real nice. A year ago I got a nice hat two yrs ago my first pair of Justin's that I still have and my outback jacket. All very nice workmanship. Great place to look around and awesome prices....I'll be back !!!!!!

Walked in to the smell of new leather. Like wakin' to bacon. Good variety of leather products from keychains and wallets to jackets and boots. Nice helpful staff. Wife got a purse she really likes and a pair of moccasins. The place looks like a Trading Post outside so you expect really good bargains but the prices aren't as low as you'd like. More like high end store, but not overpriced at all and the quality seems very good. Probably does a fairly good tourist trade but I'd stop short of calling it a tourist trap, the prices are actually fair. Some good discounts too.

Great surprise in a little place! I am a big man, 6'6" tall, and close to 270 lbs. I was looking for a motorcycle jacket but could not find one any where that fit. Howard's had a great selection, that was 7 years ago and I am planning a vacation in the area so I can go back again. I live in south central Pennsylvania.

Excellent quality family owned leather store. I really wanted one of their jackets, but I just had some expensive car repair bills. I will be back for it though, even though it's 90 minutes from home. The girls working at the store were super friendly too. And smokin hot lol

Saw a pair of Boulet boots while visiting in Montreal that I loved but didn't have size. Howard's was closest dealer to my residence in Wells ME so had them order my size 10.5. Luckily they had 10 & 11 in stock to give me comparisons. Turns out 10 fit perfectly even with boot socks. Having this size selection available made me not second guess ~2h drive. They were wonderful to work with through the entire process and I felt like my happiness was their priority. I've worn the boots several times and love them (boot socks are pretty much a must). Thank you for all your help.
