Big store with a decent garden section. It's goor if you're looking for low priced planter pots (as long as you don't mind some minor imperfections). They have a decent variety of low priced curtain rods, bath towels, etc. The staff is pleasant and the store is clean.Update 6/20/23: DO NOT buy plants at this location. I went in today and they are covered in bugs. The planter pot selection is still good and inexpensive at least.

Some cheap items not worth much but when they have deals they are generally very good. The store is always clean and easy to shop. Many times not enough registers going but I get that's a problem for many businesses.

Customer service people are habitual smokers and try so hard to be genuine but you can tell they are suffering with their own issues. Time to hire some healthy staff and implement a no smoking policy. Much better locations with better staff outside the brook.

I like job lot. But it isn't very clean in my opinion. I picked up a bone dog treat and saw mold on it. I also saw mouse droppings on one of the displays. But they do have some very good bargains. The people who work there are always polite and helpful. I like the way they put their membership card setup.I don't have to cut out coupons to get the discounts.I have spent a lot of money in job lots. I lived in Marlborough and moved here recently. I was happy to see one almost in my neighborhood.

Bought a few things all were good with one exception, prices right and checked out by a friendly and competent cashier.Don't buy the beach umbrellas. A friend has several and said they're great, but warned me only to get the ones without the hing that allows you to tip it, just get a straight pole (without hinge). Well I got the hinge, it was all they had. Very first day in the beach and the hinge breaks. Too bad, the rest of the umbrella looks very durable. Of course I returned it, no problem.

Was considering getting a cheap sit on top kayak. Looked around and found one I liked here. Good reviews on the product and friendly service. They helped me lift it on to my vehicle and away I went.

This review is based on nonexistent telephonic customer service. I needed to quickly clarify something before driving to the store and attempted to get through 15 times. I was disconnected after 7 minutes of waiting 4 separate times and the phone wasn't answered the other 11 times despite the message to "stay on the line and someone will assist you." Absolutely crazy that the phone went unanswered for over an hour of attempts to get through.

I love Job lots for some things, but it's not my go-to place. Every other solar light I've bought there I've had to bring back or couldn't. Plus two collapsible hoses later...last yrs sprung a leak, couldn't find receipt... Bought a new "better one" and that broke too. I don't drag it across pavement or tar..and I don't leave them full constantly... I take care of my things... Thank goodness I had receipt..

Do not order anything online for store delivery with this company. On May 14th, We ordered a simple but approx $1200 intex above ground pool noted online as being in stock and available to pick up in 7-10 days- well, no notice, no call, no status change online - and it's close to a month later and no pool. We called (was very difficult to get a hold of customer service) and got excuse after excuse - from "computer glitch", to higher than anticipated response to a memorial day sale, to to warehouse and then ship carrier delays- to finally being told (after us continuing to have to check) that it was apparently damaged in shipping to store and we would have to wait even more weeks - yet, they continued to push this same timing online in their marketing. Asked repeatedly to speak to customer service lead- nope, would not transfer me. Called store- store manager said he can offer no help. They will provide no arrival date for pool or expedite another to us. I think we are like 5 excuses in at this point- with a backyard area we leveled out for pool with loads of dirt etc - a summer season that ends quickly here in Northeast, and no contact- nothing. Here is a pic of our yard awaiting the pool. Update: In response to this post apparently (and the response) and after what am sure are more calls from unhappy customers like me to customer service (yes thanks for response below, we try every day) - they have noted a "may ship later than anticipated" on the "order status" page which was not there yesterday - also we learned today although they knew it did not ship weeks ago, said was "damaged in shipping" more than a week ago, they have not yet shipped the pool - weeks and weeks out. Horrific customer service - they keep asking us to just cancel rather than send us what we already paid for - our next step is claim in Better Business Bureau for false advertising and lying to us repeatedly about status (no status ever changed online)- pool paid for a month ago and no date of receipt yet.

I love this store! I go in there for one thing (usually art supplies or coffee pods) and come out with a cartload of things. They sell a 80-pod case of Boston Best coffee for $25 and sometimes have it on sale for $20. They also have crazy low prices on designer clothes when they have them (I have bought NYMJ jeans for $25, that retail for well over $100, and J.Jill shirts for $10). The employees are super friendly and management seems to appreciate them. They were allowed to stay open when the other stores had to close for Covid 19. Not only did they increase the sales associates' pay, but they also tacked an extra 2.5% on your purchases (you could opt out) to be pooled as a bonus for sales associates - front line, essential workers. I gladly contributed. Definitely 5 stars!!

Ocean State Job Lot is just a really cool place to shop. The international foods that it stocks are just so fun to look through and try out. And, of course, it has a ton of other really useful stuff as well.I took my sister to it yesterday specifically to show her around and she was just giddy with delight about the things she found, like pickled cabbage and oh I can't remember all the things! Just go and see for yourself--and bring a friend along, too.When was the last time you had fun shopping for food?

This store is a trip. You name it and they probably have it. You have to watch the prices because even their discounted item section which is about 12 or more isles long has items that you can find cheaper at other stores. I was looking for zip top gallon freezer bags, if you don't care about brand names which I don't I got 60 gallon bags for $ 3.99. It's a fun place to look around and shop.

A great selection of goods you won't find in other stores. For example you can buy a natural flavored honey from Israel in this shop or you can buy canned pickled herring from Poland or sweet dark chocolate from Switzerland or some summer clothes you need for the summer trip.

You can always find some good stuff here. It is my go to place for foil bakeware. They have just about every shape and size you could possibly want. Their spices are a great price.

I love browsing through any OSJL and this one is always very neat and very well maintained. Love the full selection of Bob's Red Mill products and the Crazy Deals are hard to beat. The recently reduced hours are a bummer, but NH has the lowest minimum wage in New England and this store has to compete for staff in a packed retail area of Seabrook, which is just over the state line from Massachusetts where the minimum wage is almost double. Staffing the store has been a challenge, apparently. Understandable, of course.

I love this store, great selection of household items with great prices. Get thier rewards card and you won't need to clip store coupons. Also a great place to get outdoor gear for camping and the beach, snacks and all.

I love the store, great prices. The staff public relations extremely wanting especially towards black people. I visit the store often, and have to put up with their poor treatment. Last wednesday i visited the store, their computer systems were down, they told me so, with no apology whatsoever, there was another shopper whom they explained the same apology with lots of apology and even offered to hold her cart full of stuff. The manager seems to be the model for this negative behavior. I will reduce my visits to this store, putting up with racist treatment is not fun, especially when one has to drive all the way to do bussiness with them. Above all, this are ignorant employees, i hope the store owners are not the same way.
