Great store that supports the veterans… I bought two coats $40 each donated the coats to the veterans and Ocean State Job Lot gave me my money back. It’s a win-win situation.

I generally enjoy going to Ocean State and seeing the random things they have, and the good deals they have on those random things. But the reason I can't give them a 5 is because of all the food that's past its expiration date. I can make my peace with the "eat free" table being food that's expired (and not by days, I mean weeks and months and off colored), but I draw the line on expired items in other parts of their store. I've had a bunch of boxes of protein bars, cereal bars, those sorts of things that after I got home I noticed had been expired for weeks and that just ruins the entire experience.

This place has an interesting mix of products at great bargain prices. Hard to find some things and they are under staffed (like everyone else these days) but the staff there was very helpful (some more than others) and friendly. Checking online for what they currently have in stock is helpful.

Generally, most of my interactions with the employees in this store have been good in the past. However, the "deals" here range from not-actually-a-deal to meh typically. The last time I was in the store almost every aisle in the back of the store was chock full of merchandise piles (presumably for re-stocking?), but it was so bad I couldn't get into 5 separate aisles because of it.We have found over the past couple years that often we will get to the registers up front with a basket or cart full of items only to be met with a very long line due to employees' lack of expedience ringing up customers, but more often due to a lack of cashiers available. The rub is that each time this happens, the store is not even close to packed or very busy either. Lately this has led to us waiting 10 minutes, only moving up 1 or 2 places in line, and just leaving everything and walking out empty-handed because the prices and/or quality of the merchandise just wasn't worth the hassle of trying to pay for it.As an Ossipee resident, my experience in this store today has ensured it will positively be my last. I went in to return a $35 window fan that I bought 2 days prior (it simply did not fit where I intended to use it). My wife and I stood directly in front of the "service" counter for about 5 minutes waiting for the 3 employees there to wrap up their personal conversation. The employee who processed my refund was particularly rude, unprofessional and treated me like I was some kind of habitual return-offender (This is the first time in 6 years living here I have had to return something to Job Lot). I believe her name was Deb or Debbie? I do not appreciate being treated like an inconvenience rather than a customer when I am trying to give a company my money. I have no problem saving money and having items delivered from Amazon.. Just thought I would support one of the few retail outlets we have here in town. Next time I will go elsewhere or order online, I am done ever setting foot in this store after the interaction we had at your Customer Service desk today.

Went in with my granddaughter to grab a charging cable for my car, ended up getting leggings, goldfish* for said baby* drinks, and car Cleaning wipes. Only spent 21$ for everything and the charging cord covers 3 different types of phones, super long also. Was in and out in less than 15 minutes, store was organized and the signs were true to what was in the aisle.

We needed a blanket and they had a blanket, so my experience was perfect. Love the aesthetic they have there. It's like if TJMaxx cared just a smidgen less than they already do and didn't carry any beauty products. Here's a photo of a squirrel I found outside the store.

I love this place! It's not perfect in many ways but there's so many things that make up for it! There's a lot of items for the kitchen, sundries for the bath, a rug section, and a bunch of really different flavored snacks and drinks, a small random clothing section, storage solutions, and a good seasonal area with inexpensive brand name seeds.

While we were camping, we stopped into the store as we have done for SEVERAL YEARS and the people there were always friendly and very nice. However, on THIS visit...we had our 3.1 LB. Yorkie with us, as we have done EVERY YEAR BEFORE this day... Maui was in her "sling" which keeps her safe & close to me, while we shop for a few items for camping. The Manager asked me "is your dog a service dog?" I said, "no" but, we come here EVERY YEAR with her & NEVER had an issue. HE said, "you have to take her out of the store" we were pretty upset...and went to our Vets AND she informed me, that the manager had NO RIGHT TO ASK , AND we DO NOT NEED TO SHOW ANY PAPERS for her, or her services!!! So, we WILL go back to the store on our next trip...and IF that manager is STILL there, I hope he asks me again....and will tell him exactly how I feel!!!

Never had a problem with a job lots walking my dog in the store. Their policy is no dogs allowed Stephanie enforce in Ossipee so I will no longer be shopping with them. I moved to the area so they are going to lose A lot of my business. Will continue to use a Rochester where they are happy to see me when I’m in the area but won’t be much I suggest you really get rid of your dumb policy. I consider my dog part of my family. She not welcome. I’m not welcome.

Went in looking for a float to relax on my pond. They actually had a decent selection. Got what I wanted and reasonably priced. Noticed they have a lot of seasonal items, clothing snack food, etc a good mix of just about everything. To my surprise being an outdoorsy person they even have kayaks !

This store is clean organized and Def my new favorite ocean state. Only complaint I have is due to living 30 mins away from everything I called to make sure they had what I needed, 50 gal sized containers, and the woman on the phone told me they didn't carry them. However I'm a long time customer of multiple ocean state locations so I know they do carry them plus they were right in the flyer for that week so I took a ride there anyway. They had an entire isle of 25 gal, 30 gal. 40 gal, and 50 gal sized containers with lids and locking lids the selection was massive and exactly what I needed! Just wish the woman on the phone didn't lie to me, or act like they didn't have them when I was very descriptive and said big Rubbermaid containers to store clothing, toys, blankets, etc!

This was my go to spot during Christmas! They were the only store that carried my BIGFOOT candy! It was highly addicting and I most definitely bought out the entire store. They also have great stocking stuffers and neat little gifts. I actually bought my daughter a 5ft teddy bear which she had to have. It's a good place with good products.

The store always feels a bit messy, and disorganized. But there are some excellent bargains to be had. Be sure to sign up for a membership card so you can get and make use of crazy dollars.If you leave here without getting a crazy dollar card you did something wrong.

A favorite for sundries of all kinds, providing you are a reasonably competent shopper in terms of pricing. Can't visit the store without finding some bargain, though more often than not it was something we could have lived without. Seriously, it is an interesting store with.something for everyone. And there are plenty of bargains.

Stores are beginning to look empty and schlocky looking. Need to have items in the flyer actually in-stock in the store. Not a better way to tick off a Customer than to have them plan a shopping trip to purchase specific only to have none on-hand.

Some good buys can be had here. Large selection of goods & food items. Some current brand name items as well as closeouts, overruns & discontinued items. Never know what your going to find there. Worth looking at. They also offer weekly internet coupons which offer certain items at a reduced price. No other options of a general type store in the area.

Fantastic surplus variety store which has some major brands. Almost anything you need can be found in here except fresh food. Also stocks swimming costumes and a variety of Lakeside sporting equipment. Very reasonably priced and a fun store, you spend hours wandering around looking and wasting money on stuff you don't really need. :) Located next to the grocery store so hit job lot first and then grocery store 2nd.

The store itself needs some cleaning.. but that's not the reason I'm writing this review.. there's a manager ( assistant manager?) that works there that is in fact one of the most loud obnoxious individuals I have ever had to displeasure of meeting. Her name is Kris.. and she likes to yell.. not in an angry way.. but simply yell across the store & draw attention to herself. I have actually been the unwilling recipient of one of those exchanges.. She stood there .. unwilling to walk over to me and talk to me like a NORMAL human being And screamed at the top of her lungs.. that item is not a Christmas item .. "it's just the design.. I have Santa sheets too.. but those are not Christmas item either . Its just a design" Obnoxious! that's just one of the many examples.. but the only time I was personally caught in her inept attempt at communicating with her customers

The staff here are always friendly and helpful. They have an awesome Bob's Red Mill selection for bread bakers and gluten-free options. I can always find things like coconut oil and grapeseed oil here as well.
