This review is for the Online Ordering only. This is one of the closest grocery stores to us unless we drive to Concord. My husband likes to pick up the groceries after work so we usually order online first. Half the time we get our order, 25%+ of the items are substituted or missing entirely. We often will get items that expire the day we get the order but according to Hannaford policy, they sell items up to the date they expire… really helpful if you are getting a big pack of chicken for multiple meals and it’s expiring the day you receive it 🙄This has happened multiple times. If an item is no longer available, it shouldn’t be available to purchase. For our last order, my husband ordered brioche buns. We received a small pack of vegan brioche buns (6 buns total) for over $6…I know you receive an email from Hannaford about substitutions and such but unfortunately my husband never checks these.The store shopping experience itself is great just the online ordering needs work.

Rarely has what I need and I swear everything is like 3 -4 dollars more than market basket. They certainly know they are the only show in town, unless you go to the traffic circle and they take full advantage of that. Scummy also they were mask Nazis back in the day. Disgusting

It is a nice store but it is a little bit over priced Market Basket is a lot cheaper it does you do you have all the items are looking for Thole if you do live close to where I would recommend going there the staff is usually pretty friendly and it’s not too hard to find stuff.

While this is a decent store, it is not one of the better Hannafords. They don't have a service desk which basically keeps you wandering from clerk to clerk if you have a question. Their website advertises that they sell money orders, like most stores in this chain do, but the Northwood store does not! This needs to be updated. My biggest disappointment is with their advertised delivery services. It does NOT exist at this Northwood location. While placing an order is much more time consuming than you would think ( unless you want to give them free reign to substitute whatever) please don't waste your time. I placed an order at 10:30 a.m which was scheduled for delivery at 11, then between 1 and 2, then between 3-4, until finally being scheduled for 5 p.m. When the order still hadn't arrive at 5:45 p.m I contacted the delivery service who assured me they would get the next person on it ASAP. Are you kidding??? At that point I cancelled. Huge waste of time!

Still in my top 2. Meat and produce can rate very highly but you must keep your eyes on stuff and READ. I give their rewards and coupon app a 4.75..….both easy on you and worth using for the savs

The greatest team In grocery I can't say enough about farah,anthony,chad,ray,kacie,both aarons,and jennifer just great. I been helped far beyond expectations. I can save money going 9 miles down the road but the customer experience at the northwood store far exceeds the rest. I would use this location as a template for all your stores can't say enough .

We bought steak from the meat counter yesterday. When I walked up Seth was washing pans in the corner but as soon as he saw me he looked over, smiled and said “I’ll be right with you.” When he was done he came right over and was so friendly and kind and took my order. I don’t usually write reviews but this young man was so nice I had to. It’s so funny how a warm smile can turn your day around. Thanks Seth!

Update: I don't care for rotisserie chicken in a bag, it's greasy gross the next day. :(Love our Northwood Hannaford... the meat & produce are fresh and appear gently-handled, the store is neat & clean, and the staff is helpful & friendly. Also, Hannaford-to-Go is a nice option when I know before hand I'm not going to have time to shop.Dont care for the app, tho, as it doesn't save my uid/pwd, so it's easier to go to the web site on my phone browser w auto-fill.

Considering how far out from the city this store is they have a good amount of vegan/gf options. I have gotten planet oat, so delicious, kite hill, daiya, and chao brand. They have sweet earth frozen items and impossible and beyond burgers and grounds. They have discontinued the beyond sausages though. They have a decent selection of fresh produce as well. They also have locally brewed beer from Northwoods brewing and Outhaus ales. The prices are pretty good considering inflation, and having their rewards program helps. The employees at the checkout are very friendly and helpful with using reusable bags.

After a somewhat difficult week, I went to Hannaford’s in Northwood, NH and the young man working at the front (Nick) was helpful and friendly. It is very nice to go to a business with such nice employees. The cashier was also very nice but, I didn’t catch her name.

It's not a bad grocery store. It is more expensive than the other local option ( Lee Market Basket), but the produce and meats are always of the highest quality. I usually only shop here when passing by. As of 5/23, we have become exclusive Hannaford customers. They have recently introduced a 2% back rewards program along with personalized coupons, both electronic and printed in store at checkout. Rewards cash back evens out any advantage market basket previously had price wise.No savings = no reason to shop MB.

They are too dependent on "self checkout" and have removed the courtesy desk, so if you need help, the employees have to be pulled from their work. Stand in line for 20 minutes, or use the self checkout and have the attendant visit you every 3 scans.I used to love this store. Now I use it like a convenience store or gas station. Not a fan of the new store set up.

Low key love this place. Their app has solid coupons and the employees have always been super nice. Two employees (Isabelle and Jacob, thank you!) even helped me at one point purchasing my groceries when I forgot my wallet and was in a bind. They really didn't have to do this, but they saved me a significant amount of stress and headache that I'm forever appreciative of. This Hannafords is a bit further away than other locations, but I now make the drive primarily to this one as a result.

A great market. The produce is always fresh and the shelves are well stocked. They have a good selection of ready to go food, but I wish they had more. I always seem to arrive when they are temporarily out of rotisserie chickens!

Went in one night for just a few things. Got up to an open register and placed my things on the belt. The manager who was running that register came over and said he’d be right back but shut his light off. He never came back. I moved to another register and he ended up bagging my things. Never apologized. Never said anything. Not even have a good night. Nothing. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

Most employees are very helpful.I am always greeted with a genuine SMILE by any employees I may encounter. I am on multiple prescriptions, and I find the Pharmacist as well as the Assistants are Awesome!!!!! The store is always clean, and it's a pleasure to shop there. The Produce is always nice and fresh, and the Meats are outstanding!!!! I think Hannaford is a great place to shop!!!

Pharmacy is a cluster. Slow to fill, multiple mistakes, does not communicate when prescriptions are ready, and shorted (by a lot) one of my prescriptions and refused to correct it. There is a reason they are cheaper.

Supplies are getting back to normal. Nice to see the employees wearing masks & cleaning the carts and handles of the coolers. Now if they would mandate all shoppers wear masks, it would make it safer for everyone to shop & work there.
