Ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was really good. Cook was super friendly and made suggestions on what to order since I had never been there. Home made cookie was good too. Not bad at all for a gas station.

Four stars, for a gas station, is really a Top Score. Jake’s has a small deli counter with a decently large menu. I’ve tried different sammies here; and I’ve never been disappointed.The Roadies chicken is also top notch, especially if you catch them filling the bins. Depending on the time of day, the fried chicken can sit for a bit. I especially like that you can specify the parts, and not just say “white” or “dark”. What can I say? I’m a thigh guy.I love the potato wedges, though a “serving” of four is too much, even for this glutton! Split an order, and you will still be well fed.The folks behind the deli counter seem disconnected w the rest of the store. Deli folks are always friendly and accommodating. But, you still have to pay at the OTHER counter. The less than cordial folks there are a sharp contrast. They put a bitter taste in your mouth. Good thing the food cleans that right out!I noticed comments about pricing being high. I disagree. A sandwich here is more filling and less costly than even a small meal at McD’s…

I purchased a Cobb salad and London Fog tea. First I was given blue cheese dressing instead of ranch like I asked for.I’m giving one star because there were two gnats in the salad.It’s not okay. To spend $10 on a salad and have to throw 3/4 of it away.

GREAT roadside deli. I got a freshly made fajita wrap and they even had a gluten-free option for my wife. Staff were very friendly and the bathrooms were extremely clean. Thank you!

Walked in without a mask, was informed that I needed to wear one in the store (despite being fully vaccinated and the state of NH relaxing all mask mandates). When I asked about the restroom and explained I had no mask and asked if they offered any to wear, was curtly informed "we have masks FOR SALE".... Felt as if I was being talked down to like a two year old. Employees with this sort of attitude are the reason I gave only one star.

its with in walking distance of my house so its the only store I go to. Sandwiches are good and although they're a little pricey they are worth it to get on occasion. Some of the people are pretty cool in there.
