Used to come here as a little girl and my parents would buy me a strawberry rhubarb pie made fresh in the bakery. Fast-forward about 36 years and I just visited again from out of state and bought a freshly baked strawberry rhubarb pie. Thank you for still being there and for letting me re-live a treasured childhood memory.

So today I returned a food item I bought three days ago, this being the second time for it being bad. Employees should really be rotating the foods and checking the items that go bad a lot faster than others. I like to shop here but I won’t comtinue if I keep purchasing all moldy bad food.

Decent selection of products considering there are not many stores in the area. The store was neat and orderly. Prices were fair again considering lack of competition in the area by bigger box stores. I picked up just a few things for the road as I was too far away from home to buy anything that needed to be refrigerated. My only bizarre experience was the cashier did not speak with me as I asked her how her day was. The only thing she asked me is if I wanted my change which was an even 6.00 out of 20. Not sure if this is some strange tipping method?

I stopped at lunch time and couldn't decide between the selections of hot food. I got sausage and peppers and they were delicious. I saw some bad reviews, but today everything I saw was ship shape and Bristol fashion.

Because of its size brand choices for many items are kind of limited, but the freshness and quality of their meats, produce, and salads equal and many times exceeds much bigger stores. Fresh roasted chicken every weekday, great homemade soups, award winning chilli and some of the biggest and best made to order sandwiches make the Harvester a great stop for a quick grab and go lunch. Great beer and wine selection too. Pretty darn good little market.

It's convenient when working in henniker to get a lunch or grocery shop. Very friendly staff! Prices are fair for a town store. The only issue I have is that 4 times now I have brought home the "fresh" packed foods from the deli, (cupcakes and fruit bowls) that are made in the "sold by pound" containers. And they had mold in them twice with the cupcakes and once with a premade sandwich and a prepackaged fruit cup.I'm not usually one to complain, but it upsets me to waste money on rotten food.

CHECK ALL DATES ON YOUR PURCHASES...I have gotten past due milk and eggs there before and now this week rotten garlic, and I spent over $10 on burger patties today that were packed on 7/19. Today is 7/24. I cooked them anyway as I was starving, but they were smelly/bad and I couldnt eat them.. Having to order something from Pizza Chef now... I am pretty sure I am not ever going there again. I know they are a small business that doesnt want to waste stuff but this is ridiculous.

consistently bad produce , this was glaringly obvious last week when I had stopped in to by strawberries . looked through almost the entire display and over half of the containers had mold in them , I told the cashier girls about it and was informed the person who was supposed to be looking over produce and checking to make sure everything was ok to eat had left ...3 hours prior. Tell me please how anyone in that kind of a position can seriously overlook something like that in such a small produce section to begin with AND THEN LEAVE FOR THE DAY.also the building is in dire need of an overhaul INSIDE , its really sad that our store is consistently known as being the worst in the chain. also just because you suddenly start putting produce in coolers doesn't make it any fresher. I've bought other fruit that looked like it was used for a fisher cats game ball.

I'm at mile away campground we go there all the time.they have everything you need.the deli is great they make a great sandwich.they have a big walk in beer cooler. Convenient to get to so go and you won't be disappointed

Great selection for such a small grocery store. Prices are slightly higher than going to Shaw's in Hillsborough but worth it for the convenience.

The bakery is a hidden gem- no joke! Don't expect fancy pastries, expect holy guacamole delicious cookies, muffins, macaroon cake, quiches ..🙌🏻

Always an enjoyable experience with friendly people and neighbors who run a wonderful grocery store with good prices and quality food. Meat and Deli Departments are Tops!!

I bought a french bread today and i threw it all in trash..it was stale and tasted gross..granted it was only 1.99 but its just the point..i would of returned it but it would cost me more in gas

I frequent Harvester more than Shaws. Way better prices and on the way home, less foot traffic, and better produce for the price.
