Stopped in while traveling from Maine to Vermont to pickup groceries for a week. Found a great selection of quick meals for a tight budget. The folks who work there were very helpful. Surprisingly so given how nasty some local shoppers were to them. Be nice and it will come back to you!

This store used to be a good place to shop and work. But this place is going to the dogs. My son has been working there for three years but the manager Megan Brown keeps nic picking about his shoes. But literally there are people that aren't even wearing the proper shoes or pants. But they are considered to be okay and don't get spoken to. But my son has to keep buying new shoes cause they are never good enough but others can wear whatever and look like a slob. Also Megan is allowed to wear big earrings in her ears but my son couldn't wear a tiny stud. Also the girls with the long hair don't have to have their hair pulled up so it don't get into people's food. Discrimination is what this is. If she doesn't like you she is going to pick you out.

Market basket has always been my favorite place to shop when I moved out here I was very glad that there was one within reasonable distance. This location is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful... This will continue to be my regular grocery! Thank you!!

I normally never have a problem with this store but after today's visit I won't be coming back. The cashier at the cigarette register is NOT very friendly or personable at all. I do NOT appreciate having my bag tossed at me like I'm a piece of garbage. And when I smiled and said have a great day thank you all I got out from her was a "yeah". Not even a greeting from her either. A very miserable human being. I guess customer service isn't a priority anymore.

Market Basket is always a good value that allows me to get way more for my dollar, in some cases prices are 50% less then the supermarket in my actual town, I usually don't go to the Claremont location but because I was passing by already, I stopped to do my main shopping trip of the month and I didn't regret it, usually my biggest complaint at this location is the lack of open registers that result in loooooong lines and lots of waiting at the check out, but during this trip they actually had enough lanes open to cut the usual wait in half eventhough it was VERY busy, I probably won't be as resistant to coming to this location in the future

Will not be returning to this Market Basket. This store is filthy, we went to the deli dept. and it smelled so bad we were gagging. There was so much filth under the scales it was disgusting. Not sure what has happened here, we have shopped here for years and it has gone down hill desperately.

I love this grocery store!...I love their store brand frozen vegetables...For example diced frozen onions are only $0.68 cents per bag!!!....these are great for tossing in to the pan when browning ground meat...There is always discounted fresh vegetables that I love to take home and process and can for later use...............

Market Basket is still my go-to-first for groceries, cat food, and whatever else I want. There are only friendly cashiers, no self-scanners. I make friends with the people in front and behind me in line, so there's a distinct social benefit too. Nice deli, meat, and seafood sections too. The bakery is also great. Lots of staff helpers, too.Update: still a happy shopper at Market Basket.

It's a market basket, a New England staple. If you live near one you know why. Good prices and an atmosphere that is perfect. Lines can be a little long, but that's because everyone shops at market basket and not the other grocery store in town.Glad they haven't tried replacing their staff with hard to use self checkouts.

Clean store, some staff can be difficult to deal with but you just gotta power through it. Fresh produce, never have any issues finding what I want which is nice. Their meat selection is always vast & stocked which is nice for people who are just trying to get in and out.

All in all good store. With the exception of the deli and the bagging situation. Deli is so slow. Something needs to be done to speed that up. Also the baggers tend to put only one or two items in a bag. Literally a huge waste of time and who wants 10 more bags than you need. Cashier said today it's because bags are junk well MB should get sturdier bags and teach them to fill them up. Or make an option to bag your own groceries! No need to wait in line that long.

I use to love this store and get all my needs here until we were told our service dog which is only 7lbs could not be in the carriage with her seat. So we left her in the car once no longer than 15 min with water the window cracked and heat on and still got complaints so we don't shop there much anymore maybe once a month if that all are needs are met by Hannaford or Walmart happily accepting our Lil service dog.

I mean, they have a lot of variety and good prices. It's usually busy, yet they only ever seen to open 2 registers. It leaves the cashier's tired and irritable. I tend to get the most grump here than the other stores nearby

In a world where awesome customer service is very rare, Rob M. in the deli/seafood at Market Basket in Claremont, NH goes above and beyond for everyone. I waited in a line of 5 people deep and everyone was greeted with a huge smile and a "what can I get for you today" attitude. He was the only person running both the deli and seafood departments on a busy Saturday afternoon. Excellent customer service is hard to find in the grocery business these days and Rob M. has it.

Often it's hard to find certain items because they will be in a place that makes no sense. The soy sauce was near frozen food section instead of international. The crystal light was above frozen pizza section instead of with drink mixes and tea mixes. Prices aren't to bad. Plus there is no self check out. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
