We arrived after the office had closed. But after reading the reviews I wanted to meet the manager or owners. I met Lucy the manager. There was not many campers buy she had placed our camping spot with a space btwn us and the other camper, that was very considerate of her. Showers very clean and the water pressure was great. I give this spot a thumbs up! 👍

At $51 for water/electric only, it is severely overpriced. Got there at 3:22 and the office was closed, note on door said back at 4pm. Clerk came back at 3:55. We found our site assignment on the door and went and parked. Decided to unhook because it was easier than getting out several stacks of levelers to raise the back. Did two loads of laundry, $3 per load, very reasonable. All machines were working. Washers are newer. Dryers are like from the 1970's but still work! Bathrooms screamed 1970's but were clean and everything was working, though all the drain stoppers had been removed. Showers were clean and did get hot, but be careful because the water gets scalding. Recreation room locked up and just being used for storage. Pool closed for season. Mini-Golf fell into disrepair and long since abandoned. The dumpster area doesn't have a dumpster, just 4 trash cans. Cheaper than a dumpster I guess. Walked by the cabins and peeked in, noticed how clean the windows all were. Everything is clean. But maintenance is neglected. Picnic tables are weather worn and peeling. Broken screens on cabins. Door to sink room broken. Some outside lights don't work and looks like copper has been stolen from some street lights. The place was mostly deserted, we were on the north side which is water/electric only and by morning there were just 3 occupied sites out of 6 entire rows. The full hook-up sites on the south side were fuller but there were still 4 empty rows. Maybe the place is more seasonal. Place is located behind the Red Garter Casino but is very quiet. There is a 'Night Watchman' booth at the entrance but it is abandoned. There is a yellow KOA standard sign on the wall with the phone number to the manager but it is so old that it doesn't have the area code. Not even sure if you could dial 7-digits and have a call connect? Went into the office once the clerk came back and got officially checked in. All the coolers and freezers in the store are empty and un-plugged. Very little for sale in the store. Again, maybe they are more seasonal. A young couple who were car camping came in and asked how much it was for just a shower and how much for a tent-site. $10 for a shower, $40 for a tent site. I almost invited them to pay for an extra vehicle and stay in our site but they left before I was done checking in. I felt bad for them. This place was only ever 20% occupied. I'd have given them a tent site with showers for $20 if I were that clerk. Adjacent to the park on the south side is another section of trailers and mobile homes for permanent residents. To be able to use the dump site you have to drive out via the in-lane. Then you have to go past the abandoned night watchman shack to turn around and drive back in via the out-lane. And whoever does maintenance is un-skilled. I saw several sidewalks with plumbing running on top of the original sidewalk and then more concrete slathered on top of that so that you don't trip on the pipes. Who does that?Nearby activities: Gambling, drinking, drugs, and despair.Safety: No gate or cameras or security guard.Walkability: If you like casinos there are several in walking distance. Also a public library across street. City pool across street is closed.Food & drinks: Coolers in store are empty and unplugged.

Spring 2024 - My husband and I spent a few days at the Wendover KOA in early spring, so the park wasn't bustling with activity. While we didn't utilize many of the amenities on offer, we found it to be quiet with average interior roads and access easy to navigate, albeit showing signs of wear typical of many KOAs. Our AT&T cell service worked great.

We regularly travel East on I 80 we usually stay in Elko but we wanted to stretch our travel day so we pulled into Wendover at sunset. We were greater by friendly staff and quickly got settled in a large level gravel site. Only a few winter travelers on site. Very quiet and felt safe. Dog park is not great but it works otherwise great overnighter. We will likely make this a regular stop as it’s a more peaceful stop with walkable access to town.

Knowledge staff, clean facilities, organized spacing for any type of trailer/camper/RV. Amenities commensurate with pricing (store, supplies, souvenirs, laundry, game room, swimming pool for summer, playground, dog park…). Even cabins to stay in for those who are not with trailer. Easy to get into spaces (drive through).Nearby activities: Make sure to check out air museums, roses furniture (thrift/vintage) for furniture, housewares, music/books, art, jewelry and clothing/shoes (Walking distance (1 block) to main west Wendover thoroughfare.) Eat at local Taco 🌮 stands or hit up Golf course for Monday pm burger 🍔 specials! Salt flats are a must see!Walkability: Walking distance (1 block) to main west Wendover thoroughfare. Red Garter Casino has Prosector restaurant open 24 hours as closest business.

Had a blast. Pool was cool and refreshing. People were great. Not much grass on my side... pretty much all gravel. Other side is nicer. Also cabins and tent area. Will definitely come back for the next air showNearby activities: Air show

Large, nearly level, mostly sunny, nice sized spaces. Clean bathrooms and shower rooms. Horseshoes, playground, pool, dog space, plenty to do. Located behind Red Garter. Close to Wendover Will, Victory memorial, Wendover Airfield and EnolaGay hangar, & Bonneville Salt Flats. A little noise from train and delivery trucks. Wonderful camp hosts. Well manicured office and store.

Really cool place to camp or lodge in one of these cool tiny cabins with bbqers and all as well as the most beautiful view in wendover of the sun rise!Noteworthy details: I haven't stayed there but referred many to stay there the price is right the people friendly and it is beautiful well kept grounds with no druggies so I highly recommend this place!

We've been staying at this KOA for about 5 years during Speed week. Lucy does a great job at the front desk with all your needs. We have a 43 ft diesel pusher pulling a full size Suburban and there's plenty of room to get around the park. Stayed at A2 this year and had full hook up's and plenty of room. Highly recommend!

A bit pricey, but well worth it! The pool was the best feature and it was super close to all sorts of things to do. For example, air museum, casinos, ohv drives, and of course the Bonneville Salt Flats. I recommend the hand carwash after the flats to make sure the salt is washed off. The campground had clean, spacious sites with shady trees. Great grassy spots for my dog and a small deck g park. There was a game room, bathroom/showers, and a cheap laundry room. It was nice to get change right from the camp store. Although the gravel sites were on an angle, we were able to get level. Wifi was great, so it was easy to explore the area.

This KOA is a small quiet RV Park in the dessert. I saw reviews about no grass for the dogs and there isn't but its in the dessert. The park is clean and quiet and easy to maneuver. Nothing special and in reality a little pricey for what is offered. It's all gravel so if the wind is blowing, it's dusty. The water pressure is fine with regulator, but they only have 30 amp. The bathrooms/showers are clean. No much to do around here unless you like the casinos. The Bonneville Salt Flat speedway is nearby. We would come back but only for a night or two. We camped at Wendover KOA Journey in a Fifth Wheel.Nearby activities: Bonneville Salt Flats speedway, WWII Bomber Museum, & Casinos, Casinos, Casinos

This is a really nice KOA. The woman at the office who checked us in and later talked with me was so nice and had great recommendations. She even called around to try and find a buffet for us. I am so sorry that I forgot your name. The facility is very clean. The RV spots are a good size. A little extra time is needed to level out the RV but no big deal.Playground: Great big playground for young kids and older kids. Very clean and equipment is well maintained.Dog-friendliness: Two good-sized dog areas and very clean.

This KOA was tired and in desperate need of attention. Only 6 50 amp pedestals in the campground, we were on a 30 amp which only was providing 20 amps. Kept popping the breaker at 15 amps, management could not figure out the issue and we were asked to move sites; this was a common issue among the other campers. Pool surface was new, pool was dirty. Showers were in communal hallway that lead back into both male/female/office; very unsafe. Basketball court was an accident waiting to happen. Sites were gravel and semi level. Would not visit again.

It served the purpose of a stop along the way, but apparently all 30 amp! Luckily the weather was great for our overnight. Road and train noise, lots of lights all night

Small KOA, $68 per night full hook up, $57 for electi. And water only, dump station is $15, sloped spaces, some spaces have water, electric, sewer, picnic table and fire pit, but not all. The club house was close but has a pool table and couch. The office sells ice cream, milk some drinks and other small rv essentials. They also have a laundry room. The bathrooms are clean, the showers 1-7 connect to the restrooms, men and women. Their is a pool, volleyball court, basketball, tether ball, horseshoes small swing set and playground. For where it is at and what it is, I would recommend a weekend stay here. Town is small not too much to do.

We were excited about being able to bring dogs with us. Sadly disappointed when we took them for little walks and there were goat head thorns everywhere. You could tell that the facility sprayed for them. However this doesn't actually get rid of goat head. Investing in a rubber roller would help with problem. Otherwise perfect host and clean facility.

Staff was very friendly and the campground was overall in good shape. My gripe is with KOA, not the people. Charging extra for my kids to be in our camper. Listing online that you can’t check in until 3pm when checkout was at 11am for those leaving. Again, I was upset with the fact we had to book KOA on our trip since we didn’t book early enough and non-KOA were full.

The campground is nice and clean. The gal at the counter was very helpful. The bathrooms and showers were clean. They have a nice area to walk your dog. Our electricity worked fine. I suggest not trying to run your ac and the microwave at the same time.

We've been coming here for years and the Wendover KOA is always well maintained, the bathrooms/showers are clean and the staff is friendly and efficient. Please be aware that this KOA was probably built when Wendover was small. Now, casinos are within view. There is city/freeway noise (more so on weekends) and train traffic, but put in the earplugs and you'll be fine. Lovely sunsets and a hawk in the trees were highlights.

They were very nice! Allowed us to come in late & they taped our information to their door. Very clean bathrooms and showers! Water & a place to plug in a device at the camp spots. Lots of stuff to do (volleyball, basketball ball, horse shoes, etc). Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

It’s not the best. Not the worst. It was a good place to stop for the evening and rest, but I’m glad I wasn’t staying for more than one night. The facilities were fair, but older and kind of rundown. The laundry room had several out of order machines, but I do have to say their dryers worked great! My only real complaint was it didn’t feel very safe there, we actually locked up everything. There wasn’t to my knowledge any night guard and we actually saw people jumping over the security fence from the neighboring Mobil home park. The KOA itself was quiet, but their neighbors are not.... we were treated to quite the show by a drunk man screaming to salsa music from about 12am to 4am. For us it wasn’t too bad being in a RV and further away from the fence, but I would think being in a tent it would be hard to sleep. Overall if you need a place to pull over and rest it works, but for a long term stay I wouldn’t consider this one.

Not the normal KOA experience, it did do the trick for overnight. We were looking fwd to catching up on laundry but the dryers jammed or ate our coins and 1 out of 4 actually dried the laundry. Reception was welcoming but the park is sparse and bare compared to other KOA’s. Overall good for a night stop but glad we didn't do more than that.

Very disappointed. We have stayed at KOA’s in the past with bad experiences. We hoped this stay would be different. No such luck. The electric hook ups must be problematic. The breaker kept tripping so constant reset. Our neighbors also had electric issues. There was a distinctive sewer smell so didn’t want to be outside. There were unleashed dogs some with collars and some not roaming freely. Also the grounds could be cleaned up. Poor excuse for an RV Resort.

Ivette was kind and courteous when we checked in. The park is very dusty with a lot of flies - might be the time of year. Of course, the flies are not the park's fault. The dust, on the other hand, could be fixed with a layer or two of gravel. Also, the pet walks have no grass and no shade. (the baseball/softball diamonds and soccer field across the street have nice green grass)

We stayed here in our camper-van in a tent site for one hot night in July while on an I-80 quick trip from Colorado to the San Francisco Bay Area. It served our needs well. The restrooms and showers were clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were even able to restock our cooler with ice from the limited on-site store. We heard a few trains from the nearby track overnight, but it was not an issue for us. We would not want to be there in the middle of the day, as there is only a small amount of shade at the tent site over the small, old picnic table.Be sure to check out the impressive Wendover Will on your way into or out of town.
