A little hidden gem in Overton. Tells of this area and this Pueblo being the first in line of many others throughout Nevada, Arizona, NM and Utah. Also a little history of towns displaced by the rising /creation of Lake Mead. Stories and pictures of some mining towns toward the north. I wonder how many other Pueblos are still undiscovered.

Very interesting history with photographs, artifacts and detailed descriptions of everything. The museum is very clean, organized and well ran, we thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Make sure to watch the videos, they tell the story in great detail. The sidewalk around the outside takes you to the pueblo village, mining equipment and a monument to the Moapa Valley Pioneers.

If you enjoy Southwest history both ancient & more recent, this museum is well worth the stop. It includes Anasazi/Puebloan artifacts, wonderful rock/mineral displays & great old photos of the local mining towns. The "lost city" was St. Thomas, a Mormon farm town which was covered by Lake Mead once Boulder Dam was completed in the 1930s. Fun book store too.

Fun little museum to beat the heat! $6 pp and it says military is free at the front desk but when I asked the attendant he said actually no it's not, so not sure about military discount but that's ok I'm happy to support the museum.Small museum but good amount of artifacts and the a/c feels really great at 2pm in June! The reconstructed buildings outside are cool to see how they may have looked. Also cool is that they have shaded kennels for your pets, as well as a gazebo type thing with grills but I'm not sure if the public is allowed to use them.

Friendly staff. Free for those under 18 years old. Otherwise it's $5/person. It's a quick stop. You need about 30 minutes to see everything. There is some neat history of the area. Lots of information to take in. There is a full sized model Pueblo as it would have looked 1000 years ago.

It's worth the 5 bucks to get in. I was in the area.. if I'd traveled far to see it.. I'd have been a little less enthusiastic about it. I was far more impressed with the outdoor structures you can see for free.

A small but unique little gem. I wouldn’t consider it a must if you’re in the area, but if you have time and want something off the beaten, touristy path, this is definitely for you! Very informative displays, and the people are incredibly friendly. There are also some fun, unique finds in their gift shop. I’m so glad we happened to make this part of our trip.

This was a great museum! We really enjoyed learning about the Native Pueblo Indians! They have actual archeological sites here that they've preserved, and tons of artifacts inside! I definitely recommend coming here.

The museum is mostly of replicas and random items not related to Native American history. The replica of the houses was incredible to see. Very different from the skewed history I was taught about Native Americans & their histories.

For you history buffs. This is great. Shows how the terrain has changed over thousands of years. Many old artifacts. Great place to learn more about our history in Southern Nevada.

What a cool spot. My wife and I drove out today from Henderson to check this place out and it was really interesting. Love learning about ancient cultures and especially those who existed in North America. Would definitely recommend checking this place out. The women working today were all very friendly which is always huge bonus

This little museum has so many artifacts that were found right the area! Also there are outdoor recreations of the homes the indians would have made. There is also an outdoor shaded area with picnic tables for your use. The lil gift shop has some really nice silver jewelry and indian jewelry. There is a semi precious stone section as well which i really liked. Entrance fee is just $5 pp.

A very nice little museum. If you are in the area and have an extra hour this is worth a visit. The building itself was constructed by the CCC in the 30s. This was worth the time and $5 to visit. Not a destination in itself but a nice addition to a tour of the area.

Decent place but it needs a major intervention. I'm giving it a high rating because of the nice lady up front at the desk. She's very informative! Taught us about a few cool low key off road attractions.

Staff stood out. Thanks to them for being so helpful with instructions and general discussion on museum subjects or area nearby. It's good and worth a visit. You can combine with near fire state park which has some good views.
